  1. Hey Eddie George, you have something that belongs to Tommy Frazier!
  2. Stolen from the lookalike thread: Someone photoshop Brutus' head on to a Telletubbie
  3. All our undefeated seasons ended with a National Championship
  4. Epic match. Great job ladies! Bring it home Saturday!
  5. Great job Huskers! I may have to snag some tickets for Thursday night.
  6. SF loves UCF. He's just not in love with them.
  7. The rotation they are using tonight is working great, I wouldn't change a thing. I figured it was because the guys they have are playing better. But on nights when they struggle from three, he can help get some points.
  8. Fun game to watch, the team is playing really well. Just out of curiosity, why isn't McVeigh getting much playing time this year? Last year he was a nice 3 point shooter off the bench.
  9. What's the difference between a Iowa girl and a trash bag?
  10. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason Nebraska ties should be considered is the potential for the coach to be here long-term. If we get a great up-and-coming coach, it would suck to lose him to his alma mater or the NFL if they come calling.
  11. I think we need to hire the best young coach available, but I also want a coach who will be here long term and not use us as a stepping stone to the NFL or any other coaching job. Scott Frost seems to me to be the best combination of the two. Ideally, we could let him coach a couple more years at UCF to get a better idea of his abilities. But would you rather gamble with Frost now, or give Riley two more years?
  12. Judging from all these threads here's a change I'd propose: "Through these gates pass the greatest whiniest fans in college football."
  13. Don't worry so much about "your side or "the other side". You be you. If I were the only one who felt the way I do about this issue and was going up against 200 or so other posters, I'd stick with my convictions if I felt strong enough, but I would also reexamine things to see why I was the only one who felt the way I did. I stick by my convictions, but keep an open mind in case I have made a mistake. This is what I have been wanting to hear from everyone the past two pages. If everyone else was willing to put the knife down then I would too. You misunderstand. You are on the wrong side here. The difference is you refuse to listen to the other side or make any attempt to understand it. I will stand by my convictions, but in the face of overwhelming opposition, I would try to understand the other side. You don't. And your biggest problem as a poster is you keep changing your argument. If you had said I don't like the methods of the protest and left it at that, no one would care. But you keep doubling and tripling down on your take that everything is hunky-dory and no change needs to take place.

  15. You aren't going to be swayed. You've said so earlier in this thread. The fact that you ignore evidence that refutes points you try to make proves that you are ignorant to what the protests are about and have no desire to learn. And like Nebfanatic said, ignorance is merely a lack of knowledge. There are many topics I am ignorant about. But I don't go on message boards to try and have a discussion about those topics. I made my first comment on page 3 because I hate anthem protests. I wasn't intending to get this into it. Simple as that. Nobody is forcing you to post in this thread. But when you do, you are taking part in a discussion. If you refuse to see the other side and refuse to learn about why they are protesting, you are going to get backlash. I see the other side, and I don't like it. Either you are doing the same thing as me, or you are refusing to see my side yourself. You refuse to see the other side. I, along with several other posters, have tried to show you the other side and you refuse to read links, or listen to anything that doesn't align with your view. I've seen your side. It's the side of intolerance and hate. And I can't be swayed to that side. I have seen the links, and I still don't agree. My side is also not a side of intolerance and hate. I do not hate anyone on the other side. I just disagree. My side is simply the fact that I do not like protesting the anthem. Simple as that. Stop overthinking it. Ok. It's fine to not like the protest. I didn't like Kaepernick's at first, but came around on it. Then you start talking about how the police do a fine job and nothing is wrong with the policing in this country, and continued to do so even when with evidence to the contrary. How you refuse to learn about the reason for the protests. That's why you get labeled as intolerant. And you said in so many words that you hate the protests. There's your hate label.
  16. NFL reopens Brown investigation, Brown not going to London http://www.latimes.com/sports/sns-bc-fbn--giants-brown-20161020-story.html Apparently the NFL has known about this for years and has don't little to nothing about it. Personally, I feel that his behavior is not representative of the University of Nebraska and and mentions of his name on promotional material or any memorabilia hung up on campus should be removed. He did play ing games, so he should still be a part of official statistics and records, but any other mentions .
