  1. Um... what about the brand new Schorr Center underneath South Stadium? Doubt they will tear that down anytime soon, will be tough to build around that.
  2. Tickets were going for $40/piece on craigslist the Friday before that game, two years ago. Cheapest we were able to get at the game was around 50 if I remember right. Got our Packer tix for 18 Each, granted the Vikings blew so that may have had something to do with it.
  3. Went two years ago and got tix (day of game) for the Packers v Vikings game the day after the Husker game, the NFL tix were much cheaper by far. The Husker Tickets dont go down much day of the game as we anticipated.
  4. Pretty sure Quality Control just means they break down all the film and prepare stat data for the coaching staff and players. Read more:Q&A: "Quality control" coach is entry-level position in NFL - The Denver Post
  5. Then you can eliminate our 1997 national championship...
  6. Why are people all of the sudden obsessed with this elitist east coast sport. Focus on hockey first if anything, hell I'd take soccer or rugby before lacrosse, at least it has real contact and is an olympic sport.
  7. That big of a deck actually would have been pretty cool but with the outside facade of the expansion now.
  8. If This is in the wrong section, I apologize, thought relevant because of Husker Nations love for Shawn. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-college-football/20890280/
  9. The league’s media agreements prevent schools from playing night games in November, but Delany has no opposition toward changes. “November night games could be if that’s what our schools wanted,” Delany said. “There’s no line in the sand on that issue. Typically the weather really changes in the third and four week of October so we’ve been mindful about the fans and their comfort. But if people wanted to experiment, we don’t have any philosophical opposition.” http://www.kcrg.com/sports/local/B1G-Commissioner-Delany-Talks-Playoffs-Night-Games-175856871.html
  10. Pretty good rundown so you don't have to go through individual threads in the recruiting section. Note: you'll use 1 of your 20 "views" the Warren has imposed on the Herald. http://sports.omaha....over-wisconsin/ Open it in a "Incognito" window or turn off java script and you can avoid those stupid pay walls.
  11. Some interesting reviews of Lincoln and UNL in the link below, mostly positive: http://buckyville.yuku.com/topic/56677/Lincoln-NE#.UGk4bfk4XyA
  12. Arent most the players going to have their ankles taped anyways? Thus covering the majority of the shoe...
  13. Ellis Johnson did not coach in the Capitol One Bowl last year, he had already gone to So. Miss at that point.

  16. Like all rumors take it for what it is worth.
  17. Yeah they will still get a liquor license no doubt just with a provision for no rooftop bar. Its a public safety thing, drinking outside is fine but when you have drunk college kids 20ft in the air on a major road through downtown lincoln is another story. Hence why they likely had to alter their plans and enclose the rooftop section of the bar. That really sucks. I was looking forward to being able to see the skyline and hangout up there. Are drunk NU college kids more likely to fall than drunk kids in Lawrence or Kansas City or any number of the other cities that have rooftop bars? I'd like to see a couple articles where someone actually fell (not jumped). I'd say it's BS and easily fixed w/ a 6 foot class wall surrounding the edge. Dave & Buster's rooftop bar is pretty awesome here in KC...and there isn't much going on around it. I can't imaging a rooftop bar in Lincoln on gameday. That would be one hell of a place to watch the game if you aren't inside the stadium. Yeah and those are all much more progressive cities as far city councils and liquor commissions go. Look how long it took to approve the 2am closing time. Not granting a liquor license to Club "Smooth" or whatever its called, simply because of a grudge held against the owner. I'll believe it when I see it. Although I hope I am wrong, that would indeed be awesome. I heard all this from the owner of the Watering Hole. Said same thing happened to them during their remodel. They wanted to open up the upstairs and make it an open beer garden (facing O st) but the city would not approve their liquor license if they did.

  19. Heard that they would not get approved for a liquor license if a rooftop bar was part of the final plan. Lincoln is very strict when it comes to liquor licenses (i.e. name one other open rooftop bar in Lincoln. There isnt one.) So they probably have to make it an enclosed room up there with no alcohol on any outdoors portions of the upstairs.
  20. We know what everyone in Lincoln will be drinking if he makes something of himself here.
  21. It's a powerplant for the arena: "The DEC natural gas plant will be a plain brick building built into a parking garage and will provide low-cost, efficient heating and cooling for the arena and surrounding private development." 22. MVC Tourney is held at TD during the same weekend as B1G so TD Ameritrade is not an option.
  23. no offense, but I'm not sure we want recruits from that area, or much of any of Nebraska for that matter. With the exception of Gessel maybe. We need a coach that can go to the prep schools in the Northeast and bring home a solid recruit. It is sad that Doc has to go overseas to get any recruits, and they haven't turned out well for that matter either. We need athletes. Guys who know how to score. It makes me sick when I see Div 2 highlights with athletic guys going up and throwing it down. When is the last time we had a rim rocking blow the roof off dunk? Its sad that our 5'9 point guard is the most likely to dunk on the team. Your telling me this team couldn't use Eikmeier's range? Or Greg Smith as a rotation big man? Nebraska had better be going after Akoy Agua out of Central with all they have. I agree that you wont get many stars out of Nebraska, but there is legit D-1 talent in the state every year to fill out the roster. Id almost take Omaha Centrals 7-man rotation over Nebraska current line-up. Anyone who says there is no instate talent needs to go watch Omaha Central play.
