It won't--it's a 'feature' that gives TV manufacturers license to jack up the prices on their new TVs, while the same sets without 3D drop like a stone in price. What we should be saving our hard-earned money for is passive-3D viewing technology--that is, 3D without the glasses using unseen 'shutters' built into the display device. You already have this technology in handheld devices (read: Nintendo 3DS), and the industry has said this is what they're aiming for in the next few years. Until then, 3D in its current state is little improved over the 1950s fad and should be avoided, especially if you have children under six (3D viewing is not good for children under six, as their eyes are still developing and may not be able to handle the images--even the Nintendo handheld says as much). Passive or not it's going to be a fad until it comes to the point it can be projected in 3d sci-fi style. Right now it's an actually eye damaging, headache causing, attempt to dupe silly people out of more of their money marketing gimmick.

Wonder how that is decided? Ohh right, like everything else dealing with corporate sponsorship. Whoever piles up enough cash... not by how many fans fall for whatever marketing gimmicks these companies deploy (sponsoring teams being one such gimmick). (Also Nike is over-marketed and over-priced crap.)

Speaking from a few MMO's experience. The best way to do that would be to find out where some top guilds from other games are going to end up (and what faction) and all plan to head there... You'll have to maybe deal with an influx of kids and social rejects, but those will be the most active servers, with the best grouping and pugs. It's a lot cheaper (considering old mmo's transfer costs) and easier to just go to one of the high pop servers at release. Just some friendly unsolicited advice, from someone who has had to transfer a few characters with the arbitrary transfer rates applied by mmo designers to escape their own horrible servers... rather then face a much larger time investment to recreate a character. It also stops the whole "well crap I cant find so-and-so on, so I can't get anything done while I have playtime" from happening.

Really? and calling me a bandwagoner. I had to get off the Tebow hating bandwagon to even start this thread. Also I'm pretty sure Tebowing was started to mock him, he just embraced it and turned it around. I mean I get it, he's not for everyone... but the dude does undeniably find ways to lead his team to wins. Even with every NFL talking head basically saying he'll never even sniff a starting qb position for 2 years. Then wanting him out there after the starter in front of him failed so maybe they'd get lucky in the Andrew Luck lottery and could get rid of him at the same time. I'm inclined to agree with Osborne's take on it, rather then the "one loss proves everything he's done so far invalid" argument. You'll have some years to watch this dude and mull it over. I was even someone who was rooting for him to turn into a 4th string tight end so I wouldn't have to hear about him over and over. But watching the NFL talking heads shrugging their shoulders wondering why the hell he wins is way way better, because the NFL isn't good football. It's like watching the same team play pretty much the exact same way, the only difference being the physical abilities of the "stars." Boring ass football with way too many commercials and excitement (and momentum) killing timeouts.

These are people, smack dab in the middle of Pennsylvania, so far removed from reality that they don't even begin to comprehend the magnitude of the situation JoePa and his coordinator Sandusky got them in STILL even after the season... It's everyone else's god damn fault. Including the big ten. I hope they get their wish. Thing is, from the big ten side, I'm sure they were just doing a CoA thing. Let me start this by saying I absolutely hated Tebow in college, or rather the press he got as "Tebow" in college. However, how in the hell does he do it? He just goes out there and wills his team to freaking win and it seriously almost seems like 'god' is on his side. 7 and 1 as a starter in the nfl, for someone with as little skill throwing the ball as he has it is just nuts. Hockey as a sport is WAY more violent then baskeball. You have guys running into each other full speed on ice with a stick in their hands and they still have the decency to drop the stick, pull gloves off, and shed the helmets when they get angry with each other. It's not that they're mad that someone talked crap to their bench either, it's usually retaliation for hitting someone into boards or cheap shotting a goalie or something. If the basketball players were retaliating for a body-slam mid-court and they let the two people directly involved settle it themselves, that might be a valid comparison. Different sports, WAY different rules about hitting, huge difference in the manliness of fighting. The two sports aren't comparable unless you're playing basketball no-blood-no-foul.

Every once in awhile the sun shines on a dogs behind, this year was one of those years for the Heisman. They actually got it right... of course it was an offensive skill player so it's not like they broke some mold, even though that's how ESPN is hyping it... It's a shame they couldn't do it for Suh, but RG3 was the best and most electrifying player in cfb this season, congrats to him.

Im still entertaining myself imagining Bo as T-pain, Ronnie and Timberlake in the 3 above videos. Which is about 1000x more funny then the nobler video for yet another year. Connect people, 3 year old crap jokes don't do work... yeah we thought nobler was good fun when the first recruiting class was a bunch of guys that looked like filler, not now. Penn State fans will deny that of course and say there has been a Big Ten conspiracy against them from the very beginning. "Big Ten" media members kept them from winning the national title in 94. Not Necessarily. Turner is a coach, from what I understand that's what he wants to do first and foremost. I'd be willing to bet they'd always find a place for him in the AD though, if he wanted. Rumor is he has been in contact about coming back to Lincoln, although it could just be wishful thinking. No buyouts work that way, or nobody would sign those contracts. Wouldn't know about the buffets, but it seems like they have A LOT of really good restaurants and sports bars with quality food. Well one of the guys in this pick just got the kansas HC job, but it's the one in the back looking like he just spotted an open box of doughnuts. My uncle lives in Lawrence and honestly every time we go down there I think we eat at a new place and we haven't had a bad meal yet, I could see how that would be attractive to a few um... well rounded coaches. There are so many small town eateries through out both Nebraska and Kansas. Head into a small town, find a dinner. Eat the cheapest and best meal you've had in awhile. Man you fan find some good food in those small town dinners, just get off the interstate. Some of the best steak I've ever had was driving down to Oklahoma stopping in Concordia.

Hey that's what many Penn State fans (want) since everything is the big ole mean Big Ten's fault. I've seen this a lot on Penn State forums. Including recently regarding them feeling slighted by bowl selections. Being new to the big ten (and never really giving a crap about Penn State) it's completely new to me. What the hell fuels it? I see them trying to promote going to the ACC, saying the big east would be some sort of powerhouse if they were still in it and that no other teams would have ever left it. I thought maybe their delusion was due to the shock of the magnitude of the allegations that came out, but they are pretty persistent with it. So I guess my question is: are Penn State fans really stupid enough to believe the grass is greener? or to not comprehend that sponsor money drives bowls and their program is completely toxic right now? or that somehow it was organized by Delany that the "better bowls" to snub them? I thought maybe with the season winding down they'd maybe snap back into reality a bit and realize that things like firing JoePa had to be done for the good of the school, but it hasn't. They seem very strange and very disconnected from reality in general, but especially regarding the situation their athletic department staff put the school in.

Thanks. I have my own server plus sites like photobucket/imgur/whatever are there for that, it's my own gif, not something I lifted. It's also a tradeoff... I don't think huskerboard should have to use bandwidth for my image. However, that didn't seem like the case. I went to their site to look up why this was changed, and it seemed to be changed because developers decided all those pretty little avatars on the forum index would be too distracting if animated. Also they want to push people into using Gravatar (which I am guessing is their login service). Edit: actually it's still not working, so no big deal. It's not worth fighting around with the board for. I'll just say, I liked the old version better .

So apparently in the latest board update applied here an IPboard developer in their infinite wisdom took out the ability to use another host for avatar/photos and/or the ability to have animated avatars. In light of our bowl match up with USC, my old spurrier animation (trimmed down) seemed appropriate. Is there anyway to enable it or images hosted elsewhere? Like an admin option? Something?

There's a big difference between Kansas football and Nebraska football. They'll regret the firing. They aren't going to find a great coach with so many openings at better schools and so few coaches looking around. In another year maybe they could have gone after a guy from non-bcs who seemed like a rising star. This year big programs are looking at them because there are so many openings. And no there hasn't been rumblings anywhere I've seen about any displeasure with the Big Ten. I think it's wishful thinking on an ex-conference mate's part.

They're coaches? Bo's connection to Zook is more interesting. Also saying don't bring back Gill is a little silly, he's a great coach and man, and it's been speculated that might be an option. He's definitely not in the Ekler or anywhere even close to the Sanders category of completely outside the realm of any possibility... ever.

There wasn't anything shocking in that video at all. Sometimes (okay often in larger cities) crazy ass people ride public transportation. I've personally been yelled at in foreign countries (and languages) simply for being a foreigner. At least nobody pulled *it* out and you cant smell through video.
