Wasn't the UCF game the one where Nebraska crowd booed Frost came back on the field when Frankie London just led the big red to a touchdown? Husker fans are comical.

How much rum did he have in his pepsi?

***Official Penn State Game Discussion Thread***

Tackling is a strain -
I never understood the reason Nick Bahe has a show. It's just a former jock butchering the English language each day. He grabs one quote from some newspaper article or interview and beats it to death by making it more than it is. I honestly don't understand anyone interviewing folks from local TV and thinking it's interesting. I don't care what Andy Kendeigh from Channel 7 has to say. Who watches local sportscasts anyway. "Andy what did you think of the Minnesota game?" "It was a bad game". No crap Sherlock.........Honestly any show that puts on local sports columnist and interviews them for their opinions is a total waste of air time anyway.

Don't you understand the strain the players are going through by having to play football.

As many people have said good. He said he wouldn't make changes just for the sake of making changes. For once an AD who thinks things through not some goof ball that either flies around begging someone to be a coach (Pedersen) or someone who looks for an guy who has hip hip hooray parties but hasn't learned anything in all his coaching experience (Eichworst). It's funny how Riley and Callahan seem to be the same guy. Able to sign recruits and then can't teach them to tie their shoes.
-
More incredibly when was our last rushing touchdown??
-
Hey Bob, Get your ass out of the cozy press box and huddle with your defense so you can TEACH them. I don't understand why he is not on the field. He's doing the Bobby "the brain" Heenan routine. He's smarter than all you humanoids so you don't understand.

All you have to do is watch the team perform and you see why Riley is a .500 coach. He doesn't pay any attention to details that equal wins. If he did we wouldn't have all the false starts, fair catches (are you watching that Johnny) and crap that equals losing football. I read we are 10th in the big 10 in recruiting so just because we have a crap load of offers out there doesn't mean players are coming here. Wins bring players, not smiles.

37 First Downs---Diaco get out of town. -
Why talk to Langsdork. His love of the passing game has brought us where we are the last 3 yrs.

Illinois was not exactly a creative offense. Their QB was off target most of the night

This was Possibly a Great Day for Nebraska Football
roadrat replied to returnnutoglory95's topic in Husker Football
I liked Pelini but then I grew tired of his childish crap on the sidelines. The players say they loved him, then why did they get slaughtered every time we played a big name opponent. You'd think they'd wanna play for their coach. Now we have Riley, I don't know what the players think of him or his staff. Last saturday looked like a team that simply quit. A new hire needs to evaluate and take his time on any staff decisions instead of making rash decisions because we saw where that got us. Callahan and Riley. -
People look for coaches and hey the guy that brought Northern Illinois to Lincoln today is a great place to start. His team had the swagger, they knew what they were doing and played hard from start to finish. Tell me did NU doing any of those things today?

Shatel: Bob Diaco's refusal for postgame interview unacceptable
roadrat replied to Saunders's topic in Husker Football
Maybe Bob had to go home and get his book of cliches. I think the problem is the players were left to answer the questions. Even smooth talking Riley was having trouble formulating a coherent sentence after the game. -

Steve Pederson Writes Novel About Aspiring College Football Coach
roadrat replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
It's probably a mediocre read. -
Why shouldn't Riley throw a nice little jab. The kid doesn't know the meaning of the word to commit or be committed to and since sports are about commitment who the hell would want him on the football field.
-
Just put 3 LOI in front of him and he'll sign all 3.
-
Just a thought, but maybe we loose out on recruits because the states largest newspaper has articles already saying Riley is on the hot seat if we don't show improvement next year. I mean, who wants to commit to a program where a vocal group of supporters are always looking for the next head coach? Just read this board and there are already posts saying Minnesota has a better coach than we do. Is this the voice of all the fans? No, but schools only have to point this out to recruits and pretty soon you have guys souring on NU.

LJS: Huskers Need to Upgrade Talent, Execution & Tenacity
roadrat replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
Maybe the LJS should coach this bunch. They have all the answers -
Call us soft or call us whatever. We had people in position to make tackles 20 times which would have gotten us off the field and we didn't do it. Soft? More like piss poor technique.

I'm not sure Eichworst knows a whole lot about football. So why do we look to him for answers
