    Gary Andersen, Oregon State's head coach, was only earning $250,000 less than Mike Riley before he quit. We are paying our coach the same amount (essentially) as Oregon State. That is just crazy!

    You completely missed the point of her post. She said Nebraska has an easier road to the CCG, which is true because the Big 10 West is far easier to win than the SEC East.

    And there are people on this board who think keeping Riley another year wouldn't be a bad idea! If we get blown out this Saturday, you'll have to start giving them away.

    For the people who think Mike Riley should not be fired, how much time do you think he needs? 1 more year? 2? 3? 4? Because if we keep him, doesn't that make his seat the hottest in the country going into next season? Isn't that almost a death sentence? Produce this season or you're fired? Won't recruits see right through that?

      I think he should be given the option to retire.  He deserves to leave on good terms.  Make the transition as smooth as possible.

      I think we should hold on to Mike Riley until we can find a good head coach to take his place. I'm not keen on swapping Mike for Brett Bielima, but if it's Frost we are landing fire away.

    Yeah, the defense doesn't wear black when they take the field. I don't know if you noticied that. They wear the standard uniform. They only wear them in PRACTICE. Nebraska has zero black in their uniform. It just doesn't make sense. Might as well have a whiteout.

    I actually feel bad for him. Like a pack of sharks circling a wounded whale; Riley knows what's going to happen, the reporters know what's going to happen and the fanbase knows what's about to happen. If we lose on Saturday, it's going to get extremely ugly, especially if Riley isn't fired right away.
