  1. Weak troll attempt. 4/10. Try harder
  2. I think Nebraska is in trouble. I'm betting AD Moos and Coach Frost think that too.
  3. I have to admit that I'm losing interest in Husker Football. It's weird to even type that but it's just not been much fun to be a Husker fan for quite a while now. It's a game, supposed to be fun...
  4. You clearly have never dealt with the legal system and have no idea what you're talking about.
  5. Can we just have our defensive linemen line up backwards, back their way through the line before spinning around untouched in the backfield??? It's a thought...
  6. Oregon stands out as significant in this graphic. They have run a similar offense to what we're using, and still have an outstanding turnover margin. I would expect at team like Iowa to have an excellent turnover margin due to the nature of their offense, very low risk, but was surprised to see Oregon even better given the explosive nature of their offensive style.
  7. Body monitors to predict injuries before they happen??? What is this magic you speak of?
  8. Cam's injury history is really concerning. Part of being an athlete, especially in a contact sport, is durability. As the best predictor of future injury is past injury, I don't like his chances of staying healthy with the repetitive lower extremity problems he's already experienced.
  9. Mirror muscles don't make powerful football players. Who cares about arms on a RB??? Hips, thighs, and a powerful midsection make athletes. Biceps and 6 packs are for the mirror dancers.
  10. I'm having a hard time deciding exactly who is eating crow at this point...
  11. "a bit high" Lol, yeah, just a bit... I wish they would put a lot less emphasis on 1rm numbers.
  12. Think force vectors instead of body position. A front squat more closely mimics the force production needed to block. It's also safer, though it does require more skill which isn't always easier for the s&c staff with 100+ novice to intermediate lifters.
  13. In football, the resistance is generally encountered in front of the athlete, especially linemen. Would emphasize back squat and deadlift more in my speed athletes. Posterior chain builds speed. Different positions have different requirements for s&c.
  14. I think a lot of the supposed increases in strength were due to different styles of movements. In my opinion the front squat is far more you useful in football than a back squat but the numbers are smaller, especially amongst novice and intermediate lifters. Technique is certainly more sensitive in a front squat which limits a lot of non barbell athletes.
  15. Good bumper plates have an internal metal disc and that disc won't detach from the rubber portions like the cheaper Rogue stuff. More likely, they just get dirty and look "worn" after use and for a showpiece weightroom, it wouldn't be quite as sharp looking. As far as squats: Front<High Bar Backsquat<Low Bar backsquat. There might be a 20% difference between front and high bar, and another 10% from high bar to low bar back squats.
  16. I guess this is a thing we do now. Saw a picture of an area code on the front "label" of the helmet, above the facemask, similar to how UCF did it last year.
  17. I wish nothing but the best for him. Except against the Broncos, then, maybe just an "off" day or something.
