I think you are talking about Asante, aren't you? Because he was pretty much what you described. I'm guessing he meant West since he is wearing #5 this year instead of Murillo. And with West, I would have to agree. The guy really had an opportunity at 3 INTs. First the one that bounced in front of him but he lost his footing before he could get to it, another that he flat dropped and the final one he got, but nearly dropped as well. After he finally got the INT, it looked like he got some confidence and played well after. But for over 3 quarters he was pretty bad. Yeah, I agree with this. He blew up that one play on the quick out but the rest of the game he looked like he was playing with "last year's tempo" I think West and Asante will not like film session. I also think the late pick my help West going forward. I thought Amakamura (sp) was in on a lot of plays in the 2nd half and has earned more pt. Where was Culbert? Did Fischer or Compton play at all?

Agreed! Although he may give them out before the game, I am really hoping that game performance will determine of you get one. BTW- Foppa is that Phanuef getting tripped? That vid is hilarious!

I think it would be sweet if they went Rodgers style throw back for a game. Similar to NFL and MLB throwbacks.....although it truly is a marketing idea. Still would be cool. The black out/ black jersey idea always gets a negative response but I'd love to see a 1 game black jersey. I'd buy one. Walking around in red looking like I'm wearing the sweater grandma got me for xmas is not something I can do. (I know, I know, I'm not a true fan- maybe we can get black jerseys and "I'm a better fan than you" in 1 thread!!) As for the rant about Nebraskans fearing change. Yep, thats why I moved away. BTW- I think we're just over 3 weeks from kick off!!

Knudson- the journalist that wrote the story is a Husker fan. I've heard him mock CU for their National Championship with a tie more than once. He used to say, CU has the honor of having the worst record of any national champ ever. I think LSU just replaced them. CU was enough of a rivalry game for Restore the Order T-shirts a few years back. I live in Denver. Living here makes this game feel like a rivalry to me bc/ I hate trash talking, ignorant of history CU fan. Every year at CSU-CU time the CO media starts talking rivalry and CU fan treats CSU like we treat CU. "You aren't our rival. Media can't create a rival! You have to accomplish something first!" I've said it on this board before, after the Big 8 became the Big 12 the whole rivalry thing changed. Husker fans in the east hated KSU during Snyder years while western NE hated CU worse. I could be wrong but thats how I see it. Mizz, Kansas and Iowa seem so far from anywhere I've lived that its hard for me to feel to much about them one way or they other. Although getting basketball numbers hung on you during a football game certainly helps!

He ABSOLUTELY deserves to be sued. First - he stole trademarked logos and mastheads of the newspaper - those mastheads and logos are part of the identity of the newspaper. He also used the byline of an actual reporter, damaging his reputation and credibility. The reporter is also rightfully suing. Conradt - DarthHusker - is simply a fool. And so if the reporter wins the suit his credibility and reputation are restored?

I really enjoy the "this guy isn't a real Husker fan, he's an idiot" comments. Having grown up in NE I knew a lot of real huskers fans that were complete idiots!! One does not negate the other. A couple times a year we get a few "real fan" threads going and its kind of pathetic. Bad choice? Yep! Can he be sued? Technically yes, but it would be hard to prove any real damages. Is he a Husker fan? I'm sure he is. He is a Husker fan that did something stupid. Anyone else here guilty of that? The word fan comes from fanatic. GBR

Did anyone else notice that TT made the most prophetic and deep statement in this thread. Sometimes good luck can follow bad luck. Cy, I don't know what the full situation is but if I can throw somethings in a box and get them in the mail to you, what would be the most crucial things? I don't even know if that is necesary but if you lost everything then you probably don't have clothes or anything. (I'm kind of a short fat guy so that might not help). My kids have way too many toys and we are trying to teach them to give, so.........let me know if I can help.

Yeah, who knows, Nebraska might consider that as an additional revenue source at some point....... Not "might" but "will". Eventually Memorial Stadium will be Phillips 66 Memorial Stadium or something like that. It may take longer to get to Lincoln (everything takes longer to get to NE) but it will get there eventually. I don't really see it as a bad thing. When I heard about CU wanting to sell their naming rights I did think it would be funny if some wealthy NU booster bought and named it Husker Stadium West or something similar.....

I ran into a guy in a N hat at the Denver airport. He was picking up his daughter. I guess our rifle team took 4th in the NCAA tournament. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Kind of off topic but....another husker "sport" doing well.

I'm pretty amazed at how graphic this thread has gotten both in the actual account and some of the poor humor. He's a big boy and he assaulted a girl. Figuring out how isn't that difficult. I heard someone say that people have a hard on for players. Maybe some do. I think D1 athletes all over the country get away with stuff the rest of us would get nailed for. Gladiator syndrome. We want these people to be heros but really they are just a bunch of GIGANTIC kids who get favorable treatment. Some of them go to far.

Here is what I think about bandwagon fans..........I don't!! I have a life. Having a life means I don't care if another Husker fan is legit and more of a fan than I am. I am probably guilty of a number of things that would make me bandwagon or at least a bad fan in the eyes of some of you "true" husker fans. If I was at Memorial stadium this last season I'd have booed the $H!T out of that team!! Does anyone else not think that the whole arguement of "I am a better fan than you are" (the heart of the bandwagon topic) is just about as pathetic and lame as it gets!?!? It is a matter of priority. I do enjoy my college football but I also realize, at the end of the day, it has very little to do with my real life. Sports are entertainment. The team on the field is a product. If you like the product spend your money on it, if you don't...then don't. In my eyes, that doesn't mean that if you come back to the stadium after the product gets better, you are a bandwagon fan. It just means you were smarter than the people that blindly followed the herd to the stadium to support something they didn't really support- a losing Husker team with a staff that turned its back on the tradition that we all loved in the first place.

Rogers was the plpayer who many think won't qualify and be a sing and place, correct? Does that mean he wouldn't count towards this class? Also, does that mean after 1 or 2 years of JUCO he is still committed to NU or does he become a free agent again, so to speak?
