I would have to say the Orange Bowl would likely take the Big East Champ. That would make the most sense (and cents for that matter) for everybody involved. Stanford fans wouldn't travel to Miami, and Connecticut/Pitt/WVU fans wouldn't travel to Arizona. The opposite scenario works better for everybody and creates much better match ups.

I agree that Barney Cotton would be a horrible choice for Offensive Coordinator. I think he's lucky to be keeping his O-Line job. Scott Frost would be nice, but I don't think that's going to happen. If we lose Watson, it sounds like the LSU connections would be the most plausible. Regardless of whether it's Cotton, Frost, Lil Red, or this guy--> my trust is put in Pelini that he will select the best man (mascot) for the job and knows infinitely more about who is best candidate than I do.

They did do a good job. Would be nice to get these guys for the Big 12 CCG. I thought that the call that set the tone was the very first review. While it was clear Nebraska didn't catch the ball, I thought for sure that the play would stand based on the cop out of "insufficient evidence to overturn the play." Maybe Dan Beebe was right and there's no conspiracy.

Agree 100%. It's very unfortunate also. I think he's the only staff member that kept the Callahan teams from complete implosion (Hint: It sure wasn't Cosgrove!) People also need to remember that our offense was definitely nothing to write home about during the last few years of the Solich era as well.

Not at all. It's colorado. Nothing surprises me. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Colorado win by 3TD's with all the momentum they are bringing into the game.

I don't know about everybody else, but I am sick and tired of the national media shmuckos saying: 1) Bo Pelini's behavior is out of control and totally uncalled for. 2) There is no conspiracy--the referees are being fair and Husker fans are ridiculous for thinking so. I try to look at things as objectively as I can despite my Husker bias. I was one who though that the extra second added to the clock in the Texas game was the correct and fair move. But I'm sorry. This whole season minus a game or two has just been pathetic to watch as Nebraska has been on the wrong end of royal Big XII screw job. My guess is most of these a-holes writing and saying stuff like this didn't even watch the game. How could they? It's the worst officiating since the 1994 Orange Bowl vs. Florida State. Perhaps even worst. I have seen both the Texas and the A&M game with a friend who absolutely loathes Nebraska and she agrees 100%. The move to the Big 10 cannot come soon enough.

That's fine, but maybe some of the fans had injuries (sore throats, etc.) that we didn't disclose to Bo before the game. I wonder if he ever asks someone if they are coming to the game, and they reply "You'll find out at kickoff time." Bo should realize that fan relations are part of his job, if he cares about how the fan support is going to be. And he should. Because I can see a lot of fans turning on him should he have a bad season in the next few years.

Headed to Vegas this weekend to celebrate Birthday #30 a little early. With all the things to do in Vegas, none shall supersede watching the Huskers play. Does anybody know a good place on or off the strip to watch the game? I'm assuming most sports books won't have the Fox Sports PPV game. Thanks for the help! These posts make me lol every time. We're not the damn team. We can think about the National Championship we're going to win in 2050 against UNO if we want. If we lose to Kansas this weekend, I'm laying the blame squarely on you, Moiraine, for not focusing your good thoughts on the Huskers! Personally, I love looking at bowl possibilities. Will it set me up for possible disappointment if the Huskers don't follow through on the game we are supposed to win? Yeah, but oh well, I'll deal with it.

Agreed, and the Kansas State game was a relatively hostile environment played at ...gasp!! NIGHT! I'm no more worried myself, which since I actually typed this out on a forum probably means that it will come back to bite me and we will struggle.

In my opinion, no chance at all. There are too many other 1-loss teams out there. There are a lot of 1-loss teams right now, but many of them won't be one loss come bowl selection time. Regardless, Nebraska travels better than just about any school in the nation, and I would be surprised if they weren't considered for a BCS Bowl. Hopefully this discussion will be irrelevant and we'll win the rest of our games though!

Maybe for this game, Bo can get his players to stop putting dirty hits on the Kansas players out of respect for Turner Gill. In all honesty, I am kind of glad it's the last time we will play them in regular season barring some coaching and conference changes in the future. I know he'll have a good team in Kansas soon. They are the Big 12 school I respect the most upon leaving.
