  1. Will someone answer Deed's questions so I can find out if I'm a Husker fan or not.
  2. That would be 21 a year for twenty years. So 1995?
  3. Are you asking this based on a tweet that states a fact, with no context for tone or mood?
  4. Are you saying this staff is not interested in picking up a DT this year? DT is a position where you should get about 2 every year. We are extremely deep at DT. Whether we "missed" out on this one or not, it's not a huge worry. SR: Williams, Price JR: Collins(maybe leaving) Valentine, Maurice SO: RFR: Stoltenberg, Newell FR: Davis, Davis I'd be more worried about getting a couple good ones in the 2017 cycle. I saw what happens when we have a bunch of young bodies at DE that we all hope are studs, but don't pan out. I'll take two DTs this cycle please. You saw what? I don't remember having a bunch of promising DE's that didn't pan out... I was never excited about King, etc. I'm very excited about the Davis Twins. I can't wait for them to take over for Todd Peat and Aaron Curry.
  5. You are the Gerry DiNardo of Huskerboard.
  6. They colored the wrong stripe red on that bus.
  7. The truffle fry flavored potato chips taste good, but are the worst smelling food I've ever encountered.

  8. I'm not sure which side of the argument I agree with, but just looking at negative plays and blaming the o line leaves a lot of the truth untold. When you run an offense with lots of option plays, the blame can lie in a few places. Take Fresno St 2011- 3 carries went for 141 yards 47 ypc. 32 rushes went for 78 yards just over 2 ypc. Was this a bad game for the o line where a superior athlete overcame them three times to make long runs? Maybe, but Taylor made several poor reads that game. Like everything else in football several people contribute to the negative plays you posted.

  10. I could live with that.Tom, if he's in a different mold from the other RB offers Riley has made, do you think maybe they'll take another in this class? Or unlikely, given the position? I read on another site that he wanted Nebraska to commit to him being the RB taken in the class, but that could just be a myth so take it for what it's worth Pulled these from the Ozigbo thread. I'm not saying don't recruit him, but I'm never a fan of assuring a kid one thing(if they did) and then not holding your end of that after he's signed.
  11. My mom has worked in Ord since I was a little kid. We lived in a neighboring smaller town. It's a nice place, the only real complaint I had was how the kids from there treated the kids from the surrounding area when we'd come to town on Friday of Saturday night.
  12. It might be better for him to spend a year under Riley and Langsdorf, than to transfer to the MWC.
  13. Serious question, is his first name pronounced 'key-shawn' or 'kway-shawn' ?
  14. He decided to transfer after spring ball. Had nice freshman season, got moved to slot receiver last year and was moved back to RB this spring, I believe. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/terps/tracking-the-terps/bal-terps-running-back-jacquille-veii-plans-to-transfer-after-this-semester-20150421-story.html
  15. Yeah, I agree. With these lists it's always hard to ignore volume stats, but as good as Swift was I'd have to put Mo ahead. And coaches did at the time. Same with Todd Peterson. He had a nice career, but surely he isn't Top 6? Wilson Thomas? Terrance Nunn? I can't remember a lot of the names now. I guess the talent level at the position has really come on only in the last several years, and current players are ineligible. He might be top 6. After the names on the list it drops off quickly. Brandon Kinnie? Franz Hardy? A lot of small contributors that were somewhat disappointing like Khiry Cooper, Curenski Gillilen, Steven Osborne? I'd have to put Todd in the mix with any of those for sixth.
  16. Just got my Phil Steele preview in the mail. Some things of note. 1) He's usually pretty high on us and has us second in the west behind Wisconsin 2) Nebraska is not represented on the B1G regional cover 3) On the conference overview page he puts us second, however for the team overview we're fourth behind Northwestern and Iowa. I think it's just a printing error but thought it was interesting anyway. 4) We didn't score higher than fourth in the conference in any of his unit rankings and coaching he put us 11th. 5) He ranks Antonio Reed below the LS Ober and three of our walk ons in his recruit rankings
  17. The Dutch fielded a weaker side (they have a Euro qualifier on the 12 that they have to win, because they are currently third in their qualifying group) and the U.S. were missing several first teamers as well. Our defense was terrible the Netherlands defense was worse. It's hard to take anything away from this game except that we rallied which is a great sign, and that we have players with pace (Yedlin, Morris, Johnson) that can cause match up problems for the elite teams in the world. I almost shut it off after we gave up those two quick goals, but I'm glad I didn't. We really need to find some back up center backs though.
  18. We better recruit Lloyd Christmas, just for equality's sake.
  19. Interesting. I didn't know that. Who were they?Gosh, I don't know how I'd dig up the name now -- I can't remember which cycle. I want to say there was a linebacker from out west (not Bodtmann). He announced his commitment but then had to walk it back, and didn't end up coming here. I remember at the time thinking that wasn't the only one. It's not Bo's fault or anything, every once in a while you just get a guy who doesn't really understand the situation and jumps the gun. Isn't this situation what happened with Dylan Admire? He was an OL from Kansas about five years ago.
