Now I'm just hoping the royals don't overreact and sign moose to a Gordon like contract 

Moose is worth it.  Relatively young, has power, great glove.  If forced to choose, I would much rather have Moose over Hoz.  Hoz is a very good first baseman and I kind of felt like he was one of our own, but he's  not elite and 1st base is the easiest base to replacement anyway.  I wonder if the his girlfriend, the KC sports reporter, goes with him?  They've been on and off. 

There is literally no stat that justifies that. They have played the same amount of years and hoz is younger, has more home runs, hits, silver Sluggers, gold gloves, higher batting average, more RBIs, and has a gold medal in the wbc. Dude was a winner and a cornerstone of the franchise.
