I figured he was that fast because the ears could be used as sails. Count me (as a female, in case people didn't know already) as thinking he's not very attractive.

You do realize it's the 12th game of the season, so none of the players on either team will be all that inexperienced. Not saying the Huskers won't beat them, just that it's faulty logic as to why they will.

Someone tweeted somewhere that it would be Missouri, and two others. It's killing me that I can't find the exact quote, but I will update when I find it. EDIT - can't find the tweet, but the rumor supposedly coming out of some banquet for boosters was that it would be OU, MU, Viginia Tech. Sounds fishy and a little too 'convenient' to me, but we shall see.

I always have to laugh anytime Baylor gets brought up as any kind of player in this. I mean, really laugh outloud. Last night I was reading something pinned on a Penn State forum that has all expansion/realignment talk from back when the it was only the Big Ten talking about expansion (back in Feb 2010). Reading back through the progression of that supposed mass exodus to the Pac-10, and how Texas (the state) was trying to muscle Baylor in, instead of Colorado, kind of warmed my heart a little bit.

Awe, c'mon people, I'm not even all that serious about what I said. The truth of the matter is that she wanted to come to the house on one of the two biggest football weekends of the season. She is not a Husker fan and doesn't give two craps about any college football. The heart of the matter is that I want to watch the game, and not have to worry about entertaining someone who's not even going to watch the game with me. She lives 30 miles away. If she was flying in from somewhere, that would be another matter. But, visiting from 30 miles away doesn't really merit having game nights disrupted. But, the conversation here is hilarious. As for my user name... well, that's from that fake commercial about Carl Pelini a few years ago - one of his t-shirt ideas was "Got Carl?".

That's what they want people to think, but we had that with OU long before UT came along. My personal hatred comes from the egos & arrogance coming out of pretty much the whole the state, which has really nothing to do with football. And, if someone calls them out on it, the rebuttal is, "you're just jealous of us". (*rolling eyes every time I see that stated*)

There are times where I wish this was the case - it's a long time friend of my husband, and my friend by proxy, I guess. Her bad mojo spans several coaching staffs.

Are you superstitious at all when it comes to games? I admit to being very superstitious at times, especially when it comes to a particular friend of mine, who doesn't follow any cfb, but is like my personal Sports Illustrated jinx! She was at my house when Texas Tech beat us 70-10. She's called while we were winning comfortably, only to have us lose. Well... she called earlier tonight and wanted to come to our house on either October 1st or October 8th. :madash I flat out told her there was NO FRIGGEN WAY and told her she was bad luck. Was that too mean?

It sounds like they're a little too desperate. Maybe you'd want to say, improve the quality of being in the conference for those not named OU/UT, and they'd probably want to actually stay without this signing in blood thing? With the exception of KSU, which for some very strange reason, proudly admits to being UT's bitch. Bad puddy tat!

I know people don't think they deserve to be, but they haven't shied away from any preseason competition. They've played Oregon, VT, now Georgia, and all on the road. They've been to BCS games and have won them. Why the heck shouldn't they at least be in the conversation? They can't control how good their conference is, but can control their OOC games, and have done well against very good opponents.

It's really insane how much these tickets sell for. I'm thinking back to whatever year Nebraska played at Pitt (6 hours from me). The Pitt site had an auction for tickets in club seats and came with all kinds of perks, like the coin toss or some such. I got into a bidding war with some other person, but bowed out when it got to be around $1000. As it turned out, the guy who kept outbidding me was also a Husker fan. (Except, they found out he was a Husker fan and didn't want him on the field in Husker garb - I think he wound up getting some of his money refunded, or general seats or something.)

How are his acting skills? We need someone to flop and "writhe in pain" when someone gets close to touching him. Or not.
