I don't see this as a right vs. left issue as much as I see it as a struggle between what people find acceptable from the POTUS. It just so happens political affiliation has a say in how low we might let those standards fall.

I've thought the same thing, even before the 2016 election. Whether he is trying to not to win or is just bad at the job isn't what worries me most. That would be the 40-50% of voters that are fine with either scenario.

I would prefer he challenge as an R. I know he would be less likely to win, but if he runs as an I it would hand the election to Trump. My preference: 1. Kasich 2. Dem nominee 3. Root canal 4. Hemroids 5. Swine flu 6. Shingles 7. etc......
