  1. Dang...I impress myself...just a bit. Your grumpy/kermugen-ness has been rubbing off on me, I think. Ha!!! I call it like I see it! Which is usually really negative! haha
  2. It looks like we are not renewing our Lot 7 Tailgate spot. I am kind of bummed but I kind of realize that it was a lot of work.

You gave it 2 years to become a tailgate guy. You are more of a bar guy.

Thanks guys...that means a lot! I think that we are 90% sure we are not renewing. So it will be the bars and Blur tailgates.

  3. I am thinking that they could get over 80K...If the weather for that week is in the 60's each day it will get other people thinking about heading down (girls) and I think the stands might be packed and O street-Rail Yard too!
  4. I think I have a top 3: 3: HS PE class, we had choices of what PE class you wanted to sign up for, one semester I got the best one! You did Flag Football, Floor Hockey, Basketball and Lacrosse...Such a fun time! 2: High School PE Swimming: This was only because I had a few hotties in my class and even though they had to wear one-pieces it was still sweet! 1: Middle School: Strobe light dodgeball...our gym had no windows...the PE teacher would turn off the lights and put on a strobe light...we would play dodge ball (with the old red rubber balls) playing in the pitch black gym with just the strobe light was sooooo freaking cool! Yes...I am really bored today
  5. More annoying time: End of bowl game to Spring Game...Or end of Spring Game to Summer Practice?

    1. Lyons in the Sea of Red.

Lyons in the Sea of Red.

Tough question honestly, there are still husker sports to keep me occupied after the bowl game, and during the summer there are lots of other things to keep me busy. It seems like that time period after the 4th to fall ball takes lightyears though

I'd say the drive from Lincoln to York is the most annoying time.

    3. NUance

Worse than Lincoln to Nebr City?

  6. Maybe Hammonds can play in the paint! ha...I kid...I kid.
  7. I liked the episode the other night. This is another show that seems like it has not been on that long but what has it been now? like 5 years?
  8. My guess is the offense in this game looks a lot like the Huskers.
  9. Not yet! He might get there! But...HS heights are like HS 40 times and my length and girth...not very true
  10. I don't agree. Why would you be particularly worried about a player shooting 23%? Benny Parker is shooting 33%. I agree Mav There is not a coach in the country that would try and guard a non-threat so close that it would let the other teams 2 or 3 big threats get open looks...
  11. Not many 6-6 centers. He's a 4 in a 3s body. Yep!
  12. Oh my god! This makes things make even worse! Interesting stats!
  13. Pretty sure it's 9 in the last 40 (or 41 depending on how "since '75" is to be read). Nee had 3 Collier had 3 Doc had 2 Miles 1 so far So that's 9 in the last 27 seasons. Miles doesn't have one yet, right? Or did he have one his first year?
  14. Doc had 2 and Miles has one. So there is 3 in the last nine years. I guess I thought it would have been more...
  15. Did I hear that Miles has been under 50 in 4/8 games? And that NU has had only 3 losing seasons since 75? Or was it 9 losing seasons?
  16. The boys can't put the ball in the hoop and they turn the ball over. Just curious, what can Miles do? If you think someone else should be playing, who and why? I think you play anyone else. The starters right now suck. And if your bench players aren't good enough to play on a sucky team, then you are screwed either way. might as well try anything to light a spark. Plus...it is his 3rd year...why doesn't he have any of his recruits playing at all? No sophomores? There are some of his recruits. Smith is playing a decent amount and Fuller got some run yesterday. But I pointed out the same thing earlier. If the guys he was "stuck" with are so bad, why haven't more of his recruits jumped in front of them? That is a great question.

Plus...it is his 3rd year...why doesn't he have any of his recruits playing at all? No sophomores? Well, the transfers (Petteway, Pitchford) are his "recruits" and Leslee Smith was a Juco recruit. Tarin Smith is also playing a lot of minutes for a true freshman. There was also that PG from Omaha Central who he kicked off the team from last year. Exactly...so here is the point...he is either playing his guys (mostly) and they are horrible...or he has not manged to find one recruit that can replace the amazing production of Ray and his 7 points.

  19. No it's not. NU lost Ray Gallegos and assistant coach Craig Smith. At least Ray could hit threes and Craig could coach some offense. Pretty facilities and happy coach tweets are fun and all, but they don't win games by themselves. I get that it is not the same exact team...but again...if you have 4/5 starters back from a dancing team and the only starter gone averaged 7 points a game...well most coaches would be rock hard about that.
  20. Not completely disagreeing with you, but you stop TP and Shields, you stop our only scoring threats. Thats one of the reasons why it is so huge to have Walt being able to stroke the 3 ball, and why it will be huge if the White kid shoots as advertised, because it forces teams to guard out/extend their zone and gives lanes for shields and TP. While losing Gallegos doesnt seem like a big deal on the scoring front, it was because teams knew that if he caught fire, it was going to be a long night for you. He forced teams to extend their defense. Yeah, losing Gallegos has turned out to be a much bigger deal than anyone realized. We don't have any scoring threat to replace him. There were games when Gallegos got hot and just took over. No coach would dare ignore him for fear that he would start raining in threes from downtown. This year our third hand on offense just isn't much of a viable threat. Once Petteway and Shields are shut down we simply fold. I'm not sure what the answer is. And apparently Miles couldn't find it this season either. I get this...I really do...but if you have 4/5 starters back from a Dancing Team...and you can't "replace" 7 points a game...that is a problem Last year's team overachieved, plain and simple. Miles deserves some credit for that. This year's team is underachieving, and Miles deserves some criticism for that. Miles needs to figure out how to get better offensive production from his guys next year. I think that is pretty fair!

I get this...I really do...but if you have 4/5 starters back from a Dancing Team...and you can't "replace" 7 points a game...that is a problem Now ask your self this. Were they really a dancing team worthy of it last year? I think just maybe they were not. That is actually a fantastic question... I don't really know. If they did not make the dance last year and still had the season they are currently having...would Miles be on the "warm" seat? I do know that since the Big Ten Tourney last year they are 13-16 with basically the entire team back.

  23. Exactly...he has no answers at all right now...this is a team with 4/5 starters back that made the dance and since the Big Ten Tourney they are 13-16. He is at a loss...he doesn't know how to coach them out of it right now so he is tossing it on them, it could end up being a brilliant move. It could also totally backfire and the team will look even worse, but, at this point, that doesn't matter all that much.
  24. Northwestern is the only team that did not zone them in the last 10 games or so.
