  1. Could be, to me that is not fundamentals though that is, like you mentioned, coaching. Don't get me started on summer/select/AAU/Club...
  2. Are fundamentals taking a hit? I know we like to say that but college basketball and NBA is played at such a crazy athletic level I feel like learning a 10 foot bank shot from a set position is sort of pointless. Are shooting %'s higher-same-lower than 30 years ago? I have no idea. Is FT% better or worse? I don't know, I really don't watch a ton of HS basketball if I don't have to. But college seems fine.
  3. She is the worst. Had a buddy that worked with her at her other job (she quit that now) and she was a pain in the a$$ at that gig too.
  4. Well...Is the gravity strong in Lincoln than it is in Indy? I mean...it could play a factor!
  5. Gets the popcorn out and starts to get excited for the following posts... 1. Wow _________________ only did _____ reps at 225, when I was in high school I did ________. 2. Wow only two guys over 25 reps? My High School team, class _____ mind you, had 14 kids that all benched more than that.
  6. Oh s#!t...are we telling our own high school stories now??? I am soooo down for this!
  7. 6.5 seems a bit low, I think when the totals come out on my site it will be 7.5. In my mind I keep thinking they win 9 with ease but I always seem to think that.
  8. I coach and my positive for a shot clock would be if it speeds up the game. I coach reserve...so I want those freaking games over with FAST! Hahaha
  9. So bored I am looking up tailgating videos...the spring game can't get here soon enough!

  10. Ha! I was wondering if anyone would get it!
  11. Rosati's Pizza in omaha, anyone have it yet?

A coworker of mine said the pizza wasn’t bad but the breadsticks were the best part

  12. You said idiot, I said dork. You seem to be hung up on that. There was no "quick judgment" on Riley...there was 25 years of proof. You have probably hired people before, right? Do you hire people with what is largely a very average to below average history of 25 years and then expect them to be amazing when you hire them?
  13. Sort of but it seems like you still have a hard time understanding what I am saying. 1. You support the team/program/players/coach 2. You still know that the team/program/players/coach might suck. So you support the Riley hire BUT you know he is what he is, right? Now, if you try convincing yourself and anyone that will listen that he is in fact an amazing hire, you are a dork. Because you are kidding yourself. This isn't that hard to understand is it? Trying to find evidence that made Riley look like a great hire would have been like buying a laserdisc player 4 years ago thinking that they were making a comeback.
  14. No, we were all the same, none of us were actually excited about Riley, some of us pretended like we were but 100% of the fan base knew it was a lame hire. The super dorks knew it too but they just tried to justify the hire as some amazing find. Doesn't make me smarter...makes me less dorky than the Riled-Up crowd. Go back and look where you said your kids all had bad coaches, you knew it, everyone probably knew it. It isn't about being smarter, it is about accepting the reality of the situation.
  15. So their coach sucked, you knew it, but you still supported them, right? Of course we have unrealistic expectations, it is fun. I am agreeing with everything you are saying it just boggles my mind that you can' also assume that one could support while at the same exact time know that it will be an epic failure. That is "unrealistic expectations"
  16. I support the Huskers even during Riley, I supported them and bet on them and thought they could win every game...but realistically I knew it was a horrible hire that would result in horrible results. You got kids that play sports? If you do, I am sure there were games where you knew they were going to get their asses handed to them. You still supported them but you also knew what the end result was going to be.
  17. Water finds its level. The super dork crowd wanted Riley to be better but again, most of us knew. Just like with Miles. Dude is a .500 coach.
  18. Yeah, here is the missing piece.
  19. I think what you need to think about is if Callahan talked to anyone at all. This is not some top secret government cover up where the reporter not only wants to be first but has to be 100% correct. This is college sports. More than likely Sean "heard" it from a friend...who heard it from a friend who...heard it that Cam was really hurt. This is college sports information...we tend to not care about the credibility...we tend to care about the instant information.
  20. I guess I kind of get what BRB is saying but if you can't find/realize what a good shot is in 30 seconds, you and your team probably suck. Like Sandhills said, the shot clock violation really would not come into play all that often.
  21. Any HS coach that coached that way would be locked up for child abuse! hahaha
  22. It is hard to tell, I have not seen them put up a "good" shot in so long...I have nothing to compare it to.
  23. Why don't you quit yelling at them during the game! Then it would not be difficult for them at all! hahaha In college it is a huge deal if you get 2-3 violations a game. So I think you are right, in HS it really would not happen as much as some people think,
  24. I think that once it was in...it would change the game a bit. I think the excuses as to why it can't work are lame but I get it. Most teams don't just milk the clock like back in the day. I get the "who would run the clock" but it really isn't that hard to either have a ref do it with a remote clicker and/or a teacher do it for 20 dollars a game. Could there be mistakes? Sure...but it happens all the time on every single play where a ball goes out of bounds or a TO is called. It is not like it is ever 100% in sync.
  25. How do you like your eggs?

Most mornings, I'll make some fried eggs for myself: put them in a hot pan with some S&P, put a lid on it so the tops get steamed. No flipping necessary. Done in a couple minutes, super easy. I fold a pretty good omelet as well, but on the weekends when I have more time.

      Depends on the dish:

      Benedict - poached (duh)

      Avocado toast - over medium

Shakshuka - sunny side up basically

      Burrito - scrambled

On a burger - over easy
