    Remember about a year ago...people were like "Oh my gosh, that Colorado game is going to be soooo tough" and now look...not so tough. What a fluke season they had two years ago. With that said Nebraska doesn't have a worthless coach with an unplugged headset anymore...they are not losing any non-conference games and they are not losing to NW, Purdue, Minny, Illinois or Iowa anymore.

    Heard Sip the other day, he said "Remember last year, we go to watch 6 practices in the spring and about 6 practices in the fall and no one came away saying that they think the team will be under .500...so I don't know how much it helps to watch practice" Or something close to that... He went on to say that since they have nothing to compare the team to that it really doesn't give them an idea of how good they might be and that is why he likes when the BTN guys come around because they can compare all the teams they get to watch in practice. I thought that was a good point.

    Wasn't Tyrone Williams a 4 year starter in the secondary? Wasn't he sort of avg/good or am I thinking of someone else? I really think that DY might be the most amazingly average 4 year starter ever.

    About every 5 years I buy the cheapest grill I can find...I look at grilling as just that, grilling. Make meat not raw. I would love to get into smoking but I really don't think I have the patience for it. Years ago a buddy that lived with me got really into it and had a smoker out back, he would smoke his meat, drink half a case...finish the smoking...finish the other half. He was good at smoking and drinking.

      I get that people were "worried" but everyone knows how this goes.  I bet that every spring game for the last 10 years or so it has been the same story with my group.

       

      In early March I have 10 friends that are "in for sure" by late March it is down to about 7...the week before 5 and the day of it is me and 4 buddies going...the other guys all bailed.

    Quiet Place looks good, really good. Truth or Dare looks like a fun horror movie. Prediction...over 20 million for the first weekend.

    Yeah I know what you mean. I totally agree too and that is why I think there will be some salt-writing. But with that said I am wrong a lot...like more than most people X 2...so who knows. I think the spring game write ups will draw a bit of a line in the sand of which writers will take which tone to start the season.

    I love him!  He so clearly wants to be anywhere but there answering questions but he is still so polite and respectful!

      Depending on the school, a lot.  Some of them have "classes" on it from what I read once.

    I don't think they will complain about it (right now) I think they know that is the kiss of death because of the Frost love fest. If I am a sports writer in Nebraska right now...and Frost takes a dump on my desk...I write about how it warmed up my office and I am sure to mention how fast he dumped because he does everything fast. I think it will be very small subtle digs, very small, by certain guys. Just wait until the first loss when a guy has a bad game and you get something like "We have to believe the coaches when they say that John Cocktolstoy is the best man for the job..."

    I don't think that "hiding" anything from other coaches matters at all. I do think that players would probably have closed practices when it comes to media...but they probably don't care if former players are there.

      I would bet just about anything that snow will NOT ruin our spring game.

      Only thing that will stop this game from happening is a lightning storm.

    I agree...there will not be much that is seen but it will be enough to get the fans excited, I think.
