  1. Exactly, we should not be calling people losers... Dudes, this is not the first time or the last that he smoked/bought weed. And even after his "punishment" which really shouldn't be anything at all he will go back to smoking...just like all the other dudes on the team. Put it into context...think if you lived in the dorms and got busted for booze/pot...you get "in trouble" take a class on booze/pot awareness, get yelled at by mom/dad...you promised not to do it again and next week you are doing it again. I know the classic response will be "Yeah, but the kid in the dorms isn't letting down his entire team" but honestly, the players don't look at it like that. You think that he had the pot in the car and Antonio Reed looked over at him from the passenger seat and said "Man, Stanley, I don't know about this, we have practice coming up in August, plus, if you smoke this stuff now, it might make it more difficult for you to catch a big pass on 3rd and 6 against Ark, State...I mean...we got a great chance to win 8 or 9 games this year...but only if you lay off this gateway drug"
  2. Zoogs, what would 21 grams of weed go for?

Is this an odd time to ask if we should be paying our students-athletes with funds subsidized by the taxpayer?

Surprise, surprise......the guy instilling knowledge on your kids knows. Smfh

  3. Well...it actually might make him more of a leader to some...
  4. Who is getting high tonight?!?!

  5. "police saw Morgan's Mazda sedan with Nebraska plates fail to come to a proper complete stop as it exited a 7-Eleven at 3:41 p.m on May 6th." Must have been a slow day for the police. How many of you goobers don't know or have never been in a 7-Eleven or a White Hen?
  6. I guess he didn't smoke enough of it to get it under 21 grams.
  7. There was a girl in there too! Split that 3 ways! They all walk!
  8. Wow. Sitting right there on the console. He's stupid for being so careless about it. And doubly stupid for admitting it. He should have said it was JP Morgan's bag Or else: Wait, wut? Didn't you see Randy Gregory take off running when we stopped the car?? He went thataway! Ha...nice!!
  9. All I can say is wow...very interesting! No joke, I am blown away. You actually sound just like me in your post. So, congrats to you!

  11. Erstadt comes off as a dork after they lose...he is soooo intense that he can't say "good game" while he shakes hands. So lame.

No kidding. Who wants sportsmanship in college athletics? Telling someone they played well, yuck.

Hahaha! Knapp, I am more and more like you every single day...judging the heck out of DE and being totally offended because he can't stop being so "intense"...

  12. Wow...is this a serious post? I am sort of shocked at this sentiment coming from you and I really don't know if you are kidding or not. I don't care if they smoke pot and I don't care if he doesn't get suspended. I am guessing you are kidding though? I think under 20 is better than over 20 in Florida. I think they are pretty lax on their pot laws. On the special treatment part for players...I could not care less if they get special treatment.
  13. This is on Bo, right? On a side note...for all the fans that have a hard time believing this...you probably need to stop having a hard time believing it. For most of these guys, just like for most of us when we were in college the fun and partying (not always drugs and drinking) take first place.
  14. I build a 17' x 17' deck several years ago out of cedar with composite planks (Trex). Not difficult at all. Hardest part was the stairway. It's only three steps, but I made it so it fans out in three directions--each step layer is larger than the one above it. I think I concreted in at least ten posts in that little stairway. Wanted to make sure it was rock solid. : Ha...That is awesome. I might try it...I try to do one "project" each summer. Last summer I pretty much skipped on that and just was a lazy pile.
  15. Mods, if you are looking for another mod, let me know...I have time over the summer to help out! :)

Ha! 1. I think I can mod and chew gum at the same time.

      2. I am out of my cell!

      3. NU...stop it! I am soooooo sensitive about stuff!

  16. you can do that....but check the joist, headers, and support posts to make sure there are no soft spots in them. putting the new deck over the old support system can be costly if 5 years down the road your support boards have rotted away. Thanks! ED thanks for your post too. I think I can save a ton if I just by the composite boards myself and put them on.
  17. Hey Erstadt...thanks for costing me cash today

      StPaulHusker

Maybe if you had bet on Erstad, you would have made money.

  18. Anyone do their own composite deck? Here me out...I was thinking of just taking up the 16 deck boards that I currently have...then just replacing them with the composite boards...Do you know what I mean?
  19. I did my own floors and you can tell in some spots...painting I do but I get bored with it. I did my own baseboards and you can tell in some spots with that too. I did a paver-stone patio with wood fire pit...Good lord...it might be the worst thing ever.
  20. I want to tile around my fireplace and I totally feel like I could do it and make it look nice but at the same time I know I suck with being a "handy man"... I would like to rip out my deck boards and lay down composite boards but again...I feel like I would somehow burn down my house. What kinds of projects do you all feel comfortable with doing and where did you learn it from?
  21. Yeah, my local guys have not even put it up yet...Over 6 was a gimmie...even Riley can do that.
