Vegas understands perfectly that NU has a 22% chance of losing to Purdue this week. And understood perfectly that NU had a 30-60% chance of losing each of the games they lost and Minn was nowhere near a lock.There are some posters here that either do NOT understand AT ALL that being favored by 3, or 7.5, is VERY different from a lock. But we haven't played a team with a pulse yet. We could lose 7 or 8 games this year. I am not certain that we will beat Purdue, and that is sad. Nor is Vegas...

No kidding. Pelini is gone and we replaced him with a nicer person, but a much worse football coach. Ha! So freaking true

There was a reason Osborne didn't offer Barry Sanders a scholarship...it just turned out it wasn't a very good one... I thought he offered him as a DB...or was that Faulk? They offered Terry Rodgers instead of Barry Sanders. Rodgers was actually considered the better prospect and he would have been good if he wouldn't have gotten hurt. Faulk was offered as a DB. The only school to offer him as a running back was SDSU. Everyone knows that was a mistake now. Ahhh, thanks!

This is an excellent predictiion. Odds are pretty high on most everything. Of course, there is a chance things could go differently. That asteroid on halloween may actually be going to hit Earth and of course the governments of the world have decided not to tell us the 'bad news'. In which case, we won't have to worry about how the season ends up so we can just say "Nevermind!" Ha! I love it!

I kind of think the same exact thing and I also think the staff my sort of be thinking "Hmmmm...we can sit our starter the rest of the year, start Fyfe for the last 4 games and have a bit of an excuse for losing" Wow...just wow! I know, I know how it sounds but they know this season is lost. They know TA is dinged up. So you have the back up in and it changes the theme. Heck look how many "Hey, this is Riley's first year coaching at NU" posts there are...it would be that same type of thing with the backup QB in. I'm sure the players and coaches haven't quit on this season like you have. Tell you what, if you read some other boards all you read is that the players have quit or are tanking. Tell you what, go into the locker room and say that. I don't think the players have quit at all!

NU got a great conference schedule and the non-con is very nice too...I really think you are looking at a 22 or 23 win team.

Exactly! Just like any of you jackbutts that thought Bo should have been fired...can you please sure your D1 experience as an AD with us? Thanks in advance. All you hosers that think that Riley should not have been hired, can you please share with us which D1 College you were AD at? Also, all you Canucks that thought Riley should have not brought Banker with him, could you please post your resume from the time that you were a D1 head coach with MULTIPLE grey cup championships? Alas, all you guys that think you know more about praying at football games could you please tell us when you were a sitting member on the US Supreme Court?

Come on...do we need to break this down? Here is what we heard/read 1. Bo is a moron 2. JP doesn't even coach 3. Els is HORRIBLE 4. Cotton is HORRIBLE 5. Ron Brown is amazing 6. Beck is a horrible coach 7. Warren is good 8. Fischer seemed to be "good" But basically people felt it was an upgrade at every spot
