It's also worth noting Chip Kelly has said Drew Brees would be the ideal QB for his offense.  He said this before his stint in the NFL.  I get that Kelly's and Frost's offense may not be perfectly identical in every way.  But it's the same damn offense.  This hang up on "dual threat" may be a little misguided.

I would have liked to keep Williams because who knows what our wideouts will look like next year. With a bad oline and a qb that doesn't fit the system, they would be our only bright spots. 

This is a perfect hire. I hope we have plenty of patience for Frost. Winning isn't guaranteed -- heck, it's extremely unlikely that he (or anyone) will blossom into the next Saban or Meyer. But this is just about as Nebraska as Nebraska can be, and Frost should be able to choose to leave on his own terms. Enjoy the ride.
