Saw that when I rewatched the game. At first I was "what", then I was like "hmmm", now I'm like "meh".

Michigan State did play a really tough stretch this month, but they also had a BYE week between Ohio State and Michigan. I think that excuse is a little overstated.

I think Nebraska will have to win the rest of their games to make it to the Big Ten title game. I honestly don't see Michigan State losing another game. They have Minnesota at home, @ Iowa, Indiana at home, and @ Northwestern. That's a cake schedule for the rest of the year. Sparty got the crap kicked out of them last year by Iowa in Iowa City, so Iowa maybe having their number is something to hope for. And Northwestern could give them a battle, but Minnesota and Indiana are easy wins. Bottom line, they have the easiest schedule by far between the 3 contenders in the division. If they drop a game, it will make our path a lot easier, but I'm not too confident that will happen. Any thoughts on the division race? Edited for correct division name in the thread title... I think. I'm surprised they still haven't changed the division names.

He should definately be in consideration for it. Nobody on the national level took Suh seriously as a Heisman contender until the CCG vs Texas. It's definately not too late to skyrocket up some ballets. But I agree with the general concensus that he'll be in the consideration from the get-go next year. Unless he decides to throw his hat into the NFL draft ring, which I honestly don't see happening.

Watching the replay it does look like he and Bo looked down at something, and he did hand off with his left hand for the rest of the game. He was, however, taking snaps both from under center and in the shotgun without issue. So I'd venture to guess it's nothing major.

They might be the most arrogant, but they're definately not the most obnoxious. Iowa wins that fight with a first round knock out.

We've known for several years now that Dobson does a great job. That might be why it's not really a big deal now.

I hope he steps up at the QB position next year to provide some quality depth. Wouldn't mind Beck finding some ways to get him the ball in space with reverses, quick screens, and such. He could still be a weapon without playing a true wide receiver role.

He does. Dom Capers calls his version the psycho package. The Steelers and Patriots do the same thing. But like I said when I see NFL teams line up with no down lineman it's usually a 1-5-5. Ours seemed different.

When I see NFL teams with no down linemen, it's usually a 1-5-5 formation. The one lineman is lined up over the center (standing up) with 5 linebackers hovering around the line. So QBs don't know who is rushing. Ours seemed like a regular 4-3 only with our linemen standing. I'll have to rewatch it though.

What's your plan if Martinez gets hurt? 50 plays a game under wildcat with Burkhead? How scary was that when he went out? I love the outcome, I hate the coaching decision to not get game experience to backups. NU needs all the game time they can get to these guys when the opportunity comes up. How else do you get these kids ready when their number is called? He had about as much of a chance getting hurt standing on the sideline as he did handing the ball off. That argument is horse poopy. The only late game coaching fail was leaving Rex in after he got hurt and not using the several freshmen whose redshirts they've burned. center steps on his foot(happened last year) a fumbled snap... a broken play. On a passing play. Invalid argument. so a center has never stepped on the QB footon a running play? theres never been a fumbled snap on a running play? or a broken play(rb goes the wrong direction for instance) ?? ok... if you say so Examples, please. Also I never said it's impossible for a QB to get hurt when he's in there just handing it off. But I am saying there's a minute chance of it. Seriously, there's virtually no chance. It's just as likely he'll get hurt tripping over something on the sideline. If they had him out there throwing the ball or running around, I could see the concern. But this? Huge reach.
