  1. Not untrue, but, you have to remember, this is why a coach, during recruiting, builds depth, not just to spell guys in games, but in case of injuries which, while you can't predict, are unpredictable, and, unfortunately, inevitable. And that's a cool dozen commas. Full disclosure, I agree with you here, I think we'll be OK on defense, regardless, but I was just pointing out why we may, or may not, see a little more panic over this, than say, Thenarse's injury, or Asante's injury, or even Fisher's injury, or heck, even Compton's injury, and it probably shouldn't be, ya know, all that surprising, in fact, I'd say it's justifiable. 16ish, I think. Honestly, I've never really understood commas, I just throw them in, whenever. Edit: +1 to whomever read this post aloud in a Christopher Walken voice.
  2. To be fair, Dennard is a lot more important to this defense than any of those guys were, none of those guys were arguably the best player in the country, at their respective positions, at this point I'm just trying to figure out how many commas I can fit into this sentence, that's five, now six.
  3. where'd you hear this? This would be absolutely terrible news. about 30 minutes ago, Dennard tweeted, "fml." Facebook status "fml why me???".
  4. I think It's 50 posts per page on the mobile site. I have 15 pages too.
  5. Sounds like the line has changed almost daily in practice as far as 1 to 3 in a lot of spots. As soon as they figure out where they are going to put Moore then everything else should settle into place and we'll have a pretty good idea of the 2 deep at which spot. As I've said Center is still one of the biggest concerns this year. They once had Klatcho figured to be #2 and a possible starter by mid season then decided to red-shirt him with the emergence of Mark Pelini. Now its possible from Sipple over the weekend they might him back in the mix. I guess I don't know how good his info is but he's one reporter that gets spoon feed info from the staff so I would guess it might be on target. Bo has some eligibility left???
  6. I don't blame Cotton for giving his guys credit for the good things they did, it would be a disservice to them if he didn't. I also can't blame him for taking credit himself. At the same time, I wish he would take some of the blame on some of the bad stuff that happened. You can't have it both ways, Barney. Looks like we're pretty deep at tackle, at least on paper. The inside positions worry me.
  7. Here's another stat: 2.07 sacks allowed per game, that's good enough for 70th nationally. The only B1G team worse than that was Northwestern. To be fair, a lot of those were Martinez's fault. A lot.
  8. Looks like I missed some fireworks in this here thread. Good show.
  9. I actually liked how the line was playing last year, until injuries set in, and it all fell apart. Injuries are going to happen. Building depth is a priority. It appears to be heading in the right direction, but it seems that way every year at this time. Here's to hoping Cotton shuts a lot of people up this year. Also, I always enjoy reading Sam's articles, this one has me so pumped for the season to start I can barely stand it anymore!
  10. I have to agree with this, although Gundy's rant was obviously phoney-bologna.
  11. Does anyone actually think Texas would be ok with making the same TV money as everyone else in their conference? Texas to B1G ain't gonna happen.
  12. Probably sign today since A&M to SEC is going to vastly overshadow his "dramatic" "decision"...
  13. That may be because Nebraska is better than Iowa in every way. And that's an objective fact.
  14. another Texas troll! Why do you keep joining? and LMAO as the A&M Board of Regents meeting the day before Texas' HOR I'm on a Nebraska board as a Horn. I don't expect you to be nice. Here is more info from the DMN. From the Dallas Morning News - "The A&M announcement came a few hours after the Texas House Committee on Higher Education, which controls state university funding, announced hearings regarding “college athletics,” specifically A&M’s possible move to the SEC." Very important - "controls state university funding" What remains to be seen is how Aggie funding will be impacted. What kind of money is going to be discussed. As I've been saying, Aggie doesn't get to pick up an move and neither does UT. Texas politics are going to play a huge role. TT and Baylor will also have something to say. Boy are you going to feel really embarrassed come Monday. You've made quite a glorious fool of yourself in this thread. What a palooka.
  15. It just looked bad because of his freakish strength. This happens all the time, but nary an issue is made because the QB or WR or RB usually doesn't flop like a ragdoll.
  16. I agree with you, I was just discussing this with a friend who is an A&M alum and very much against the move.
  17. I was just joking about you giving Endo +1's buy the way, I don't care. As for the softball tournament, we've heard everything from "eh, nothing happend" to Endo's take of "he was kicked out and TO launched a political cover up to keep it under wraps". And it was something that was never brought up until Endo started talking about it. If you believe his absurd, over-the-top take on a non-issue you're most likely mentally deficient. The problem with rumors is people imbellish and blatantly make stuff up i.e. Taylor Martinez has a broken elbow. Bo got kicked out of a softball tourney is a lot sexier story than, eh, nothing happened.
  18. Ask a player what the punishment is for having a fumble this year. What's the punishment for having a fumble this year? Well played, sir.
  19. Well said zoogies, and I thought we were talking abouy Fonzie for the longest time also.
