That is something that the haters like to throw out, but I am of a differing opinion. The media, in all of their self-righteousness, decided to jump a couple of Big 10 teams over Nebraska while all we did was win, and with rare exception, win big. Why, do you ask? Well, I think that the media 1) got tired of Nebraska kicking everyone's asses, we never were a media favorite 2) likes to take down people that are well respected and revered, especially when that person is a Christian (see Tom Osborne, Tim Tebow) and 3) it was backlash for the Lawrence Phillips/Christian Peter/etc, situations from years past. fify I disagree with #2, I don't think the media tried to take down Tebow, quite the opposite, I remember the media talking him up like he was Jesus himself, declaring him the greatest football player ever. The general public doesn't hate Tebow because he's Christian, the general public is Christian. They hate him because he's a raging doucher. Kurt Warner is uber Christian, but he's not a raging doucher. Therefore the general public doesn't seem to mind him.

Seriously? What kind of situation were we in last year when we didn't have a single proven LB then? Now we have David, Compton, May, Fisher & Whaley back. Martin could even drop back in 3-4 situations. Last year that was our same depth chart! Plus Fisher now! No other position do we have the entire depth chart back, yet this seems to be the one everyone goes off on regarding the lack of depth. (oh, it's the scary Big10 now) We didn't lose anyone! (minus Grove and his 5 tackles) We return 197 out of 202 tackles by a LB in 2010. I am pretty excited about the LB spot this year. Guess I'm the only one. Yeah, the vast majority of those 197 tackles were by David. I think it's fair to say he's our only proven guy.

I believe Rocky Balboa defeated Mason "The Line" Dixon in a simulated fight, then lost the real fight. Although I'm sure Rocky would have beaten him in his prime, and it wouldn't have been close. Anyways, the moral of the story is: the last thing to age on a person is his heart.
