  1. Wasn't the team doing that just a few years ago?
  2. Definitely. We'll need all the game experience we can get for next season.
  3. I'll be there too. Going with some friends but I arrive on Thursday much earlier than the rest of them. That's a lot of bar time by myself.
  4. This coming Saturday is the 2nd Annual Boneyard Bash. The students get to come in and watch the team scrimmage and there will also be a special guest. DJ Kool will be performing. Too bad Doug E Fresh and Biz Markie won't be joining.
  5. Tailgating as usual and then going to the game. Can't wait. Might have to hold a practice tailgate this weekend.
  6. Huskers.com has Raridon and Wilson listed at 275 and 295 respectively. Even if he actually is 275 that's still a tad small for me at guard. Sounds like Boe is the way to go for now. Line injuries are the worst, especially when your best option for next man up is a true freshman. I hope it works out.
  7. I agree. Personally, I would've liked to see him suspended for the regular season. If this had been a player, I believe the suspension would've been longer. If this was a player with a third DUI he would have been gone.
  8. Just a guess, but 10 years ago he was a young black position coach in Louisiana, so "getting off easy" might have been a little harder. I'm certainly not trying to excuse his actions but I'd bet he's got more DWB's than DUI's. You make a good point. Oops. My bad. Looks like he was a WR coach at San Jose State and San Jose City College during the years he had those issues. I have no idea what the racial climate is like there. I had a barracks roommate while I was in the Marines that was from San Jose. Rough area not unlike Oakland...probably a little better than Oakland though. He said he had "friends" that used to go out and stab bums for fun. I never asked if he ever joined in because I didn't want to know. I'm sure it's not all like that but that was what his neighborhood was like. Your point still stands though.

  10. If Carl Pelini didn't get fired for his many transgressions and Tim Miles is still working here with his, then Williams won't be fired. I can see him with a leash as short as a choke chain, but he won't be fired. Carl and Miles, however, didn't get arrested for anything. They have plausible deniability (however hollow it may be) with the general, uninformed public. Coach Williams doesn't have that luxury.
  11. Has anyone ever ordered prints from the UNL archives and special collections?

  12. My only problem is that it appears most of you forgot we also play Wyoming before Oregon. Carry on. And here we are with more foregone conclusions like we don't have to face the scout team at practice.
  13. What was the context of the quote though? I'm guessing if he referenced Oregon he was probably asked about Oregon specifically. Perhaps I'm wrong thought and he went straight at Oregon unprovoked. Either way I'm okay with it. It wasn't anything too bad.
  14. She's a mess. She will not be reelected me thinks. Tim Canova is probably licking his chops right now. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/paloma/daily-202/2016/07/25/daily-202-with-dws-ouster-on-eve-of-convention-10-questions-for-the-week-ahead-in-philadelphia/57956b5d4acce20505133c10/ And how Clinton could make her the "honorary" chair of her campaign after this is just completely beyond me. Yet she wonders why her favorability numbers are so low. Me thinks she has even more dirt on HRC and was provided a soft landing to keep it under wraps. That could almost be stated as fact considering what was in those leaked emails. Stands to reason there is even worse stuff that isn't out. That crossed my mind as well. She probably threatened to go down with the ship but wasn't going to let anyone off like a good captain would.

  16. From time to time he would to go to a small town bar South of Lincoln that I frequent with a couple of other players. He was a really nice kid. He loved just talking with the farmers there. He always insisted that he wasn't a football player but that he was a farmer first.
  17. Pretty accurate on that one. New Brunswick sucks and so does Lubbock. At least NYC is close for Rutgers though.
  18. PEPFAR was a pretty rad thing that he did. It has got it's criticisms as well but there are a whole lot of people living today that probably would have died without it.
  19. I pee AND poop in the shower So there Waffle stomping is only environmentally friendly if you can do it in a timely manner so as not to waste extra water. For example, you wouldn't want to waffle stomp the day after Thanksgiving. It'd probably take a guy 10 minutes just to get it all gone.
  20. I'd be okay with that if it also included every other lobby ever.
