  1. I'm gonna call Horse$hit on NV - They've beat exactly TWO teams with a winning record this year and both of those (Idaho & Fresno State) are also in the WAC or as I like to call it the "Weak Ass Conference".
  2. So let me get this straight. Unless the thread is polished and full of optimism for the 'sKer's than it shouldn't be posted? The Huskers won - check, the defense is great - check, we are Big 12 north champs - check, but the offense sux - check. The Huskers won the Big 12 and will go to the CCG regardless, but I think the original poster was saying that they didn't exactly look like barn busters. I personally hoped the offense would show some progression in this one, improve more against CU, and then do the same against TX in the Big 12.
  3. I know... Its just sometimes people on here, and out in Husker land, get so caught up in the negative of each game, they lose sight of the fact that we won. We have had some really painful losses this year, but man we beat OU and are on our way to play spoiler to Texas. We can worry about the O on Monday I hear ya! After the debacle that's been the Huskers for the few years prior to Pelini, I'm happy as hell to be in the position we're in and can't wait for the Big 12 champ game. Not sure how old you are, but I can remember where people bitched even during the year in year out 9 win Osborne seasons. Hell, even in the '90's people complained about the team with regards to the fact that we weren't rolling teams bad enough. Fact is, Huskers won, the offense is as bad as I've seen it, but we're Big 12 North Champs!!!! GBR!!!!!
  4. As a Husker fan first and Cowboys fan second, I hear ya there! The stadium looks fantastic on TV, but can only imagine what it looks like in person. I'd be bookin' the tickets tonight, but the stork is dropping one off next week so travel plans aren't in the picture! @*$&$!!!!!
  5. Not to be the glass is half empty guy, but here ya go. Let's get real and say that while defense wins championships, you sure as hell need an offense to put some points on the board. We won and will go to the Big 12, but if we had a decent to good offense we'd have won a couple more games (maybe all of 'em). Good steps for the Nebraska team, but you've got to be dillusional if you aren't in pain every time the offense has the ball.
  6. E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E worth a chit You take these kids out of the hood & you think they are going to live on raman noodles like the rest of the college kids? This is why most programs at least try to put a little seperation between themselves & their boosters. "Either they don't know, don't show, or don't care about what's going on in the hood. They had all this foreign sh#t. They didn't have sh#t on my brother, man." - Doughboy
  7. How about "jingling your keys" or waving your "power towels"?
  8. Agree completely!! NU was never in the position against OU where they had to open up the offense to play catch-up, so they called a very conservative game to avoid a game changing turnover. I think we get up big at the start, the defense shut's 'em down, and Nebraska rolls! Hope the Jerry World dancing girls are scheduled for the Big12 CCG!!
  9. Thanks. I do try to entertain. And I dig the whole Perez Hilton critic thing you've got going with the local media. You should expound a little more, though. I'm pretty much desperate for entertainment, and you're not giving me much. You constantly getting schooled isn't really entertaining for you. That's clear. But your entertainment is not what we are here for. I'm not going to argue with you. You have your opinion on reporters and I'm not going to try to change your mind. It doesn't change how anyone else sees them. Why you want to turn opinion into a pissing contest is beyond me - but not surprising. It's your best move Are you kidding me? You are Internet King of creating pissing contests however you rarely bring anything to the table other than to state an opinion, make a smart a$$ comment or two, then tap out. At least you are consistent. We get it, you went to a tail gate party with Sipple and you feel compelled to defend his work. Good for you. You are the one that called me out. When I stated the realties you then got all salty. If you can't handle being told what's what, then don't call others out. The point is, you're not worth arguing with. Another nice tap out. Are you posting while at work? If so, do yourself a favor and go back to work. Been nice chatting with you. I hope you have a good day, Vince.
  10. Please explain how Nebraska gets 12 points then make a call to Watson.
  11. NU would not destroy BSU. Actually, we would be underdogs and deservedly so. I would expect that BSU would beat NU 7 out of 10 times they played. We want no part of BSU. It is a no win situation. Beat them and people yawn. Lose and people scoff. This is why no one wants to play them. BSU has a system and great confidence. Right now, at this moment, they would roll over the Huskers --- anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. BSU, if not a legit top 10 --- is a top 15 program. At present NU is somewhere between 30 -35th nationally as far as overall current football programs are concerned. BSU is, as hard as it is to admit, several levels beyond NU at the moment. Life is rough... but that is the truth, sad as it might be. Not sure how you say that Boise St would beat NU 7 out of 10 times. They played and beat the ONLY BCS team on their schedule in the first game of the year and have nothing to show since then. Living in Reno, I get a lot of the WAC sports updates and the conference is a joke. Even high flying Boise State consists primarily of 2 star athletes with the occasional 3 star players sprinkled in here and there. Regardless as to what you think of the star-ratings system, Boise doesn't have the depth or the playmakers to play a "good/decent" BCS team 10 times and come out on top the majority of the time (that's probably why they scheduled ONE). Hell, NV has rolled through the WAC yet lost by an average of 25 points against Notre Dame and Colo State (also lost to Missery at home by 10 points). NV is tied for the lead in the WAC, so what's that tell you about the WAC or "Weak Ass Conference" as I like to call it out here? It should tell you that Boise State Aint that great and I say that Nebraska would roll 'em and they'd make our offense look great!
  12. I think there are some of us eating crow, but we could have been right as easy as you think you are now. So take your hate and discontent with others on this board and stick it. I think all Husker fans are happy we won, but anyone that thinks there still isn't problems on this offense is in fantasy land. The defense won this game - they stepped up. The offense had very little to do with it. Getting 1 of 14 3rd down conversions will not win you games. This game very easily could have gone the other way in a big way. So take your self-righteousness and stick it, otherwise you may just eat it next week or the week after. I will eat my crow, will you eat yours? That time is probably coming, too. But then I won't be on here calling you out. Yeah, I want to win, and I want a complete team - and we aren't there yet. That don't make me a bandwagon fan. I don't call for the heads of coaches, without even knowing who there is out there that would want to come in here, or that would even be up to Nebraska's standards. But I will talk about what I see is wrong, and that don't make me a bandwagon fan. But I am also not a homer, though I have been accused of that too on here...I will not sit back and say all is right when it is very evident that it isn't. I hope we can find a way to win out the rest of the season. It will be an uphill battle, though. GBR! Dead on with your comments! (BTW...those are crow chips in the bag)
  13. I cooked prime rib on the Showtime Cooker (set it N ferget it)......left it on the whole game even though it was baked by the time the game was over. Don't know if it was the Bud Light, but the prime rib tasted fantastic!
  14. It's bad...watchin it out here in Reno on TV I paused the game to show my buddies the fans (elderly) who were kickin back while others were whoopin it up! It was Nebraska vs O F'n U people!!!! Last few games I've watched in the sky boxes, but the last time I was in the stands I had a couple guys behind me bitchin about me standing up and cheering. Stay the F'ck at home if you wanna sit back and watch the game!!!
  15. When was the last time Nebraska won a game where they shoulda been blown out! Enjoy it folks, this one was big!!!!!!!!!
  16. Crow aint really that bad, kinda tastes like bald eagle.
  17. I wasn't around for the "Game of the Century", but I can remember so many of the marquee matchups played on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The "Final" Big 8 game meant going to the Orange Bowl which most time meant playing for a National Championship. Oranges were thrown, fans were hyped, yet it all came down to two Goliaths going to battle for the "W". Things have definitely changed because of the Big 12 conference, but fans who have been around for a while can remember what it was all about. I was one of the first last week to say that we had no chance, but NU vs OU is something different. I'm going out on a limb to say that the 'sKers prove all betters wrong and win the game tomorrow. More than likely will be a close game, but I hope you'all enjoy the win over the Sooners and add another notch in the pages of history when it comes to NU vs OU. Go Big F'n Red!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Which I might add, would have been a 3 point win over Baylor had it not been for the blocked punt!
  19. But....Iowa can score points so your sisters BF has a reason to believe in his team. This Husker offense is bad and I can't think of a Husker offense even in recent history that's as bad. Hell, even in the '05 5-6 losing season they put up 59 in a win against Baylor and 27 in loss to Iowa St. I've read that this could be a defensive battle, but reality says that OU beats the Huskers by 4 TD's or more. I'm a direhard fan and would love nothing more than to see the Big Red win, but I'm already prepping myself to avoid a big letdown. Sad that we are at this point, but I'd love to eat crow come Saturday night. What reality? What has OU done against a good defensive team to show that they can score against a good defense? I'll play the devil's advocate and ask what NU has done against a fair defensive team to show that they can score against a $hitty defense. ie...Baylor, Iowa State, etc. etc. Use Baylor as a comparison - OU scored 33 and had over 580 yards offense compared to NU scoring 13 (not including the blocked punt) and 273 yards offense. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch the game, drink lots of beer and cheer for a Husker victory by REALITY says that they aren't gonna get it done with the current QB mess and lack of running game. We shall see!

  21. Why? Because he ran a great offense as a QB in the '80's and coaches a pretty good non-BCS conference school. Wat's is the guy so go with it!
  22. There are about "45" reasons that Nebraska will win at Baylor tomorrow in the tune of points - Nebraska 45 - Baylor 10. Lots of stuff about the Nebraska offense not being able to put up the pointsin recent weeks, but the game I saw last week had nothing to do with the 'sKers not being able to move the chainsl. If they hold on to the ball (which there is no reason to think that they wont'), the Big Red rolls in Waco!!!
