At the end of the season, to see no improvement or very minimal, I don't care what he did last year. 6+ games and no signs of improvement. How is another spring and fall going to make us a lot better next season? The defense is just as young as the offense, but improved drastically each game. The offense with a QB in the system 3 years stood still and some can argue got worse? Coaching. Watson doesn't lead like a coach should. He lets the players determine what he himself does. He is great with pre-experienced players (ganz, swift, pete). He cannot coach unexperienced players to becoming effective (lee, meno, gill). Watson is Good at best, not a National Championship team caliber OC imo, which is what we are looking for. His ability peaks at good, we are looking for great and beyond (Pelini). Just my $0.02

I'm not exactly sure why. I don't think it is intentional, I think it is just the material. I have a real springgame jersey from 06 which is almost identical to the jerseys worn today. The numbers are cloth stitched on where as the shoulder stripes are some sort of vinyl rubber. I think they are suppose to be white but either adidas has defects in our jerseys or that we use a new detergent when washing them that causes the tarnish color.

Bo is our headcoach so we should let him do his job and respect every decision he makes including handing out blackshirts. I cannot believe people are criticizing him for tarnishing the blackshirt tradition. He obviously is holding them for a reason and we need to back him 100%. We hired him to bring us back to national prominence and obviously he has done great so far. We hired him to do a job so why are we trying to interfere? It is up to him and we should support him all the way regardless. The players even understand why they do not have blackshirts yet. They are not executing and performing at their highest level consistently. People think they should have blackshirts due to statistics and some big plays but that is not enough to get blackshirts. So lay off of Pelini and let the coach coach.

Texas has to play us before the BIG 12 CG? I'm going on record to say you should make sure what your talking about before you go on record about it. Wasnt it CG that was wide open in the VT game and Lee threw it so CG had to get it going out of bounds for a 40gain instead of throwing it where CG coulda got yds after catch/TD which prolly woulda sealed the deal for the game? tough throw by lee but...

i agree that we will see more of our nickel package against MU but still play off our 4-3 aswell considering it is pelini's favorite/specialty formation. I'm also expecting to see some diguised CB blitz plays to drop gabbert for loss several times. If you watch the gatorbowl film from lastyear, bo had some very genius blitz plays which made the game twice as fun to watch. Theres always a chance for a loss but people are picking a close game because we are young, inexperienced, playing away, playing in blacksburg etc. If our team prepares properly, which it sounds like we have been/will be, we deserve much more credit than everyone is giving. If you don't look at Virginia Tech as a #13 ranked team, don't look at the game being played in "Blacksburg", don't look at win streaks, etc. Look at what is important. People don't like to be wrong, which sways predictions. Do some homework and decide for yourself, then wait until saturday to see the margins between your prediction and the true outcome. Learn from it. If we do beat VT, I guarentee you everyone is going to make rediculous predictions right away such as skipping right to the Big 12 CG when in reality, KU is as much of a threat as VT no bs. I've been reading a lot of predictions on multiple boards (including neutral boards) and most people have us hanging on but losing by 3 to as many as 19. They are amped up over their win over Marshall. Impressive yes. However, Marshall did manage to score 10 points, in Blacksburg. How are we only going to score 17 like the mode of predictions? In addition, Marshall's D-line was bullied, pushed back by VT's O-line as many as 5-6 yards on multiple plays which opened up their running game so much. What happens when they clash with a stout D-line like ours? The way I see it, both teams running games are pretty equal and defense pretty equal. So when VT's running is shut down or retarded, what are they going to fall back on? Taylors 57% completion? Where as, we have a solid passing game and a very very dynamic offense. Had we played Marshall, we easily would have done the same. Marshall's previous opponent was SIU, D-II I believe, which was won by Marshall 31-28. So, give up 28pts and almost lose to D-II school then throwup 10points on #15ish VT...in Blacksburg? Yet the Huskers are only going to score 17-21????? Doubtful. If our defense can't stop their run, we still have a fairly good shot at winning a shootout. We beat Ark St. 38-9, who won 61-0 the previous week. VT beat Marshall 52-10 who won 31-28. I'm not impressed. Nor was I impressed with Okie St. after I actually watched their first game. Stats were good, Dez Bryant Highlights were good, aggregate play was sloppy so I called the upset the following week. Mizzou first week? Stats were good, highlights were decent, also not impressed after watching the actual game. NU 35 - VT 19 Most peoples predictions are random guesses based on what they've heard or highlights. Ever seen a kicka$$ movie trailer and you go see the actual movie which turns out to be absolute horsechips? Plenty I may be drinking Kool-Aid, but I ain't chuggin it and its the offbrand from walmart anyways
