Holtz's comments were laughable. He was cited by the NCAA for learning about rules violations and not reporting them at Notre Dame. He also had violations at Minnesota and South Carolina. Having him comment on the NCAA sanctions shows really bad judgment by ESPN.

First, the Red Zone hasn't shown that they deserve preferred seating. Seems like a small group, and not usually a big factor in any game. Second the product on the floor needs to be seriously upgraded so that the small student section has something to get excited about. I've sat behind the visitors' bench and there's some big contributor type guys who really give it to the visiting team and coaches.

Is there a way to pick your section for the spring game? They keep sticking me in the South Stadium. I sat there for quite a few seasons, and I'd like to sit somewhere different for the spring game.

I saw where WVU dropped their game with FSU but it's not the same date, I think it was Sept 8.

Has anybody seen a schedule of Husker football team activities in Orlando before the bowl game? We're heading down next week, and I know there's lots to do in Orlando, but it could be fun to see the team in a few of the public activities. I didn't see a schedule at huskers.com

I heard Eric Martin backed into a car in the parking lot at WallyWorld. He looked at the damage, thought it didn't look to bad and just left. Not exactly flagrant "leaving the scene of the accident" that we saw with a certain volleyball player. It did cause $2000 damage to the bumper of the car Eric hit, but anymore, bumpers aren't what they used to be. That Christian Peter "VaJay-Jay" reference toward the top, wasn't that actually Andy Christiansen from just a few years ago, who did get suspended and didn't play much from then on out. I don't remember Christian Peter in that scenario.

My wife records a show called the "Mentalist", and last week's episode was a retired quarterback murder mystery.
