  1. Turner Gill to go tank city at KU and get fired? then he could become our OC! And we could bring scott frost in at wr coach to eventually take the torch! and then there would be a double rainbow!
  2. OK. We fire Watson after this recruiting class is signed. We then ask T O to step in as O/C for one season, while we line up someone for the 2012 season. Being a head coach, A/D is not new. Why can't an O/C and A/D not be tried for a year. You sure as hell won't find a better offensive mind. Just throwing this out there. GBR!!! husker nation just creamed in their collective pants...I'd make that announcement now though, and watch the best recruits in the country come to our doorstep knowing t.o. is at the helm.. i wish it would happen, put it probably won't.
  3. You forgot Barney Cotton, he needs to go with Watson and Gilmore. All three have shown a level of ineptitude that is unbelievable. do you think ben sticks around if barney is shown the door? not that it's a reason for keeping a coach who's not getting the job done.. but i like ben.
  4. Most good plays like this by the offense are. If the defense gets all their assignments, you are usually stopped. Doesn't take away from what happened. Enough with the fumble problem already. It's an epidemic. This was definitely a team loss. When the D gives up 455 yards and is directly responsible for 3 scores as a result of big plays, it's amazing that they are regarded as the half of the team that showed up. The two best offenses we faced this year completely blew apart our vaunted D. I don't say this as a knock on the coaches or anything, it's just a fact. We needed the O to win both of those games and unfortunately, we only got it done on one of them. I expected a lot better out of the D tonight. As far as the O, I expected both better and worse. I didn't expect an opening like we had. I didn't expect to ever move the ball with the ease we did at first, but I did not expect the turnovers and the lack of reliance on running when we needed to. I agree with Hercules here, this was a total team loss. What do you mean enough with the fumble problems? Do you see any other team in the nation fumble as much as this team? When you have 4 or 5 players on a team fumble on a CONSISTENT basis, its coaching, plain and simple. One player fumbling, its on the player, multiple players having fumbling issues, coaching. i believe Zoogies was saying that "problem" is no longer a strong enough word to describe our fumbling. it's much worse. so you guys are actually on the same page..
  5. Wolverine is the one with a healing factor, deadpool also has it. As for the boof thing. That never did sit right with me. In my opinion they should have pulled the classic teen movie move and put glasses on a super hot actress and play her off as the awkward loner friend. Then at the end have her take off said glasses revealing her true hotness.. Classic..
  6. i agree, in my perfect world we'd hire frost to replace gilmore and let him gain some experience in hopes of him eventually taking over as the OC..
  7. I don't really think Cody looked all that faster this week. The difference I saw was with how tough he was running. It seemed like every rush Cody had, he was dragging defenders an extra 2-3 yards and always falling forward. I love seeing a kid run that hard.
  8. Just think about it. The crazy temper, check. Playing injured players, check. Would Bo pelini stick a needle in lance harbor's mangled knee and throw him back in the game? I don't know, but he has kept Martinez in the game when he was basically on one leg on a few occasions. The good thing is that bud Kilmer won a hell of a lot of football games, we just need to watch for James van der beek starting a player revolution...
  9. Oh we will! And we are going to win the big 12 championship in spite of everyone trying to keep us out. And when Nebraska lifts that trophy we can all just start pointing fingers like scarface in half baked! "F*ck you, f*ck you, f*ck you, you're cool, And F*CK YOU! I'M OUT!!"
  10. what is the NSAA? Well sir that would be the Nebraska State Activities Associatio. Obcious it was a typo on my part. Shoot me I am HUMAN Ohhhh. see, I thought you meant NASA and the winner was gonna get to kick a field goal on the moon... That would have been awesome!
  11. One bright spot. Legate was very effective as a lead blocker the few times we saw him. We really need to get him on the field in the I. Hell, put him in as a full back from the shotgun if we aren't willing to run the I. A good lead blocker like this kid can really help our running game.
  12. cody is a worker, and i for one am proud to have him as a husker. if he maintains his attitude and work ethic, he will become a very good player for us. Not everyone can step onto the scene and blow our minds like taylor did. Yesterday, he looked like a sophmore backup qb out there, which is okay. A sophmore back-up is going to make mistakes, but he still has a lot of time to develop into the type of player we want him to be..
  13. I loved the part where he said Nebraska's best quarterbacks became nothing more than safetys or db's in the NFL, as a point to justify picking mizzou over Nebraska.. While one of missouri's greatest qb's brad smith is a returner and backup receiver for the jets... Hilarious..
  14. I want to hear the fans chant "go big red!" When we get our big 12 championship trophy.. Then switch it to a "go big 10!" chant..
  15. Interviewer: Do you hate Blaine? Clubber Lang(lovonte David): No, I don't hate gabbert. But I pity the fool, and I will destroy any man who tries to take what I got!
  16. If we win, and mizzou wins. Do we get gameday in Lincoln next week???
  17. A wr coach being held responsible because his wrs drop balls all over the place? Nah.....just blame the players. It worked for Coz, Callahan, Bohl, etc... Alright...your receiver just dropped a pass that hit him squarely in the hands and there was no one within 10 yards of him. Go coach him up. What would you do? The receivers were in the right place constantly throughout the game. The routes were run pretty well. Blocking from them has been pretty good. The receiver has to catch the ball...that's on him. There's only so much a coach can do in that situation. I'd agree, it's on the coaches if the receivers are out there every week dropping numerous balls, but that's really not happening. what would i do? i'd have them running routes against defenders in front of a throwing machine for an hour straight everyday. if you miss a route, you run a mile. if you drop a pass, you run a mile. if you catch a pass and then fumble, i will break my foot off in your john brown hind parts...and then you will run a mile.
  18. We've gone these last few years with some solid defensive players with names that sound like a "boo". with barrett and bo ruud, and of course SUHH! but what do we do next year? do we have anyone else who's name we can chant that sounds like a boo next year? This bothers me...
  19. When i saw the kick.. i thought you meant the field goal, which got me thinking. Does anyone else hate this "icing" the kicker trend? when they were setting up for the field goal, everything seemed so hectic and rushed. i kept thinking to myself, "don't do it bo". but of course, he called the time out, gave the other team more time to set up. and the rest is history. Icing the kicker sucks.
  20. The main point that needs to be made is that Lee was brought in last game because he's a more proficient passer, yet he only threw the ball 9 times. If we're going to run the ball that much (which i absolutely have no problem with) I would rather have a qb back there who runs with a purpose. Lee just doesn't look like he wants to run the ball, that option fumble was a prime example. Lee didn't do anything to make it seem like he'd take the ball upfield and helu would have gotten creamed anyway if he caught it. Keep Green on the field and let him be a contributing factor to the running game. I can't watch anymore zone reads with Lee diving under a tackle for a half yard gain instead of trying to make a play with his feet.
