  1. I'd turn back in and watch every week if Negan kills everyone and it just becomes about him.
  2. I will give credit where credit is due: the execution (pun!) of Glenn's death was spot-on in terms of visuals in the TV show vs. how it was depicted in the comics.
  3. Some people are just haters; they can't be happy unless others are miserable.
  4. DPE for returns, McNitt, Moore,Cotton, Ozigbo, Morgan. Are you going in reverse order, or?
  5. That's too bad. I think it has turned in to a great show. Just my opinion of course. It died for me on the farm; it just got narratively boring. I paid marginal attention through the prison, but finally gave up during Terminus.
  6. Glad you all seemed to enjoy it; I gave up on Walking Dead a long time ago.
  7. Trailer was nothing more than a teaser, and was undercut a bit by Nintendo's new console.
  8. Winning the national championship would be ideal. 11 wins would be a good season. SMDH. She clearly isn't saying we are going to win a natty, just that winning one is the most ideal outcome for every team. Then you read that post a lot differently than I did.
  9. Never was a big Red Dead guy; the whole Western motif doesn't so much for me. However, Rockstar makes great games, so this is awesome news for fans of the series.

  11. I really, really wish we had another season with Bando and Gerry. Bando is replaceable, but Gerry will be tough to replace. He is, but I also feel like he has just started playing his best ball. Another year in this system with Bray would do him wonders.

  13. See, this is what I don't understand. We are supposed to feel good about going 9-3, just because the team was a dumpster fire last year? Bo and his staff got fired for repeatedly having 9-3 regular seasons, and falling short of expectations. So, why are we supposed to lower our expectations after Riley's terrible first year? 9-3 records aren't created equal, though. And they aren't obtained in a vacuum, either. Where this team has come from, both out of the Pelini tenure and through last year, 9-3 would be a huge step forward.
  14. Gerry looks like twice the player he was the last 3 years, in terms of tackling alone.
  15. Compared to how we've started? Yea, that would probably be a let down. Compared to last year? It'd feel amazing.
  16. When Dirk does thinkpieces, he's great. When he does local beat stories, he's an assclown.
  17. I'm stone cold sober: we can hang with both Wisky and OSU.

Problem is, both games are on the road. And those are two very tough venues. That said, GBR!

  18. There are kids that act like kids, and kids that act like prima donnas. This is the latter. There are adults that act like adults, and adults that act like prima donnas. This is the latter. LOL. Nope. Nice try, though.
  19. I don't know what I'm looking at here, other than the team roster.
  20. I think our best shots are with Lewis and Sarrell. I'd actually go nuts if we got Sarrell.
  21. I totally did not know that Mike Welch was no longer on the radio in Lincoln.

He's been gone since June, I think. The new guy, Brett Kane, is pretty good. He and Bock seem to play off each other pretty well.

I don't think Kane is too bad, but I kinda miss Welch. I'm glad Bock is getting more air time. He doesn't have a great radio voice, but I think he makes good points when he chimes in.

  22. The school he plays for is a powerhouse in the state of Idaho and they play a few out of state powerhouses every year. Their schedule consists more of Washington schools then Idaho schools. Just this year, they played both Folsom (CA) and Camas (WA) who are both powerhouses in their states. He is going against pretty decent competition. "Powerhouse" in Idaho =/= Powerhouse in more talent rich states. Week in and week out, I would venture a guess that they aren't seeing as much good competition as the average team in more traditional football-rich areas.
  23. I mean the services rate him as a four star, so I would think he is pretty good. What if some kid in Nebraska put up these numbers, would it not be as good because they are going against questionable competition? I know you're not trying to hate, but I'll take what the experts say and what the coaches say on this kid. I don't believe we will land him, but I don't think its fair to judge this kid based on the competition he plays, he is really talented. It's not fair, but it's generally how it goes. A 4* in a place like Idaho or Nebraska generally isn't as well regarded as a 4* in Florida/Texas/California, simply based on the level of competition.
