  1. Not funny, but probably the most bad ass gif I've ever seen!
  2. I didn't come from no rusty martian. Yes you did!!!!!!! No! I'm a child of the stars. All that I am and all that I ever will be, cometh from the great fire in the sky!
  3. Kind of surprised there's been no negative comments for once. *fingers crossed* There's still a lot of haters in the fan base, I bitch out my buddy and his girlfriend for being stupid CCG night, but here on Huskerboard I think they are few and far between now. Hell even Zoogies seems likes him now.

    Psssst...

I believe this is now mandatory
  5. Not really, I cringed a little bit when I read that. They're far from classic rock, maybe classic metal.
  6. I see I'm not the only one excited about this year's new uniforms! Cheers! Is that Nathan Gerry? Dang! He just looks flat-out physically explosive. Something's exploding there...
  7. The genocide of my people is turned into a cartoon musical? With a singing raccoon? I mean, think about it, Dog. The real story of Pocahontas is about a bunch of white boys who come to my land, bribe the corrupt Indian chief, kill off all the warriors and f*ck the Indian princess silly. Would the white man make a story about Auschwitz, where the inmate falls in love with the guard and they go off singing love songs with dancing swastikas? I don't think he ment anything bad by it. I think what he was saying was Custer, who was obviously outmatched by all accounts, still arrogantly thought he would win this battle and had to speak to his troops as though they would. I've got Native American blood in me as well, however I don't think he ment this as derogatory towards the Native Americans. Is this sh#t serious? Or am I laughing for a reason right now?
  8. Thats just it. If we don't win by 30 or more, there will be Husker fans on here calling for Bo's head. Go back to the beginning of the 2011 season and look at those threads when we blew out the first two teams. It was getting pretty heated. Anyway, I don't think that Wyo fans realize that our D is notorious for deflating the offense in the late 3rd and 4th qts, especially to lower rated schools. But the guys who were downers we probably more right than we knew at the time. When it came to the defense anyways.
  9. Oh c'mon. That was funny. I gotta plus one the Generation Kill quote. Loved me some Esparsa. But the nod to most quotable goes to Ray. And here I though he was being original for once.

Rules are rules, you follow them or you get busted.
  11. It's all in good fun. I think we all agree that just about any D1 school can beat another any give Saturday, but often times it takes a perfect storm. Something I've come to realize with ISU, Northwestern, and South Dakota State which is why I'm apprehensive to make predictions anymore. And I would venture to guess that you would admit that if a MWC team played in a BCS conference they would more than likely falter due to a lack of talented depth.
  12. TCU beat Wisconsin, Boise beat Georgia not to long ago, oh and Utah beat Bama and Michigan. Michigan State beat Boise, we beat Michigan State. Winner! Are you seriously trying to make a point about teams playing one major game and winning being comparable to Power Conference teams that play top opponents week in and week out?
  13. My thoughts as well. If this front 7 is as athletic as they've been billed Wyoming is in for a world of hurt.
  14. Bum? He had an off-season last year, other than that he's been reliable for them.
  15. Was at Big Red welcome the other night and saw Rose and a #98, didn't realize it was Valentine. Dude looks like he's in good shape. Definatly doesn't look 325 any more.

Had been hearing that he had got into better playing shape, nice to hear it again.

  16. If I'm lazy and haven't washed clothes in awhile and the athletic shorts need some freshening up I've been known to swipe it on them from time to time.
  17. Further, we should have installed that LED turf, and also put fiber optic strips on the helmet of every player that projects a 3D holographic overlay of his current stats and player bio. Glasses needed to see the stats will be available for purchase at every gate for $150 but they self-destruct after the game is over.
  18. Does anyone know why football helmets are designed with hard shells and inflexible padding? It seem like a soft shell and spongy padding (like a baseball helmet) would limit the ability to hurt someone with the helmet, while also reducing the blow to the head when you get hit. That's actually a damn good question and something I've been mulling over for the past few years as someone who wants to be in the engineering field. In short I think a soft shell would either break too much like a bike helmet (it's really only made for one hard impact) or it wouldn't be able to absorb enough energy for the size restrictions. Modern helmets look incredibly rigid, but if you were to use super slow mo to watch an impact you would see that they actually deflect quite a bit. Right now the rigid helmet is probably the best compromise between durability and safety that we can get. The current generation of helmets are focused on being lighter to reduce the amount of force that can be generated and protecting player's chins/jaw. Guys like Bill Simpson (better know for a majority of the safety innovations in racing) are working on even lighter and better absorbing materials in football helmets. But when you start using carbon fiber and kevlar things get expensive and your back to compromises again.
