  1. Funny I said the same thing one time and got told off by somebody that he was a nice pleasant guy to work with. But if you have a parent who works for the state/county/city in some capacity you can hear some not so pretty stories about him if they aren't on the same page he is. In my opinion the guy is a sleaze ball and will do whatever is politically popular at the time, case in point the pipeline. Right now he wants to do a major overall of our tax system to "modernize it" but things seem to be working pretty well the way they are now. We have plenty of new age business investing in the state and if it weren't for a drought agriculture would be humming along as usual. Yes the budget needed to be dialed back, but that may have been a result of bad projections brought about by the recession.
  2. Now that I think about it I think Bo was just loopy from hitting his head, he wasn't vague enough today. He must have a concussion sit him out for the rest of the year!
  3. He exuded a quiet confidence the whole time. I think he is really proud of this class he's put together, and he was open and honest about everything. He seemed to wear his emotions on his sleeve today, talking about Heard I think he genuinley likes the kid and wants him here but Heard doesn't feel the same right now, and talking about Rome he seemed a little agitated like he has a beef with him.
  4. Maybe he was doing a cage drill without a helmet.
  5. The last time "god" was involved in a signing decision it didn't really pan out...
  6. I'm on OWH, but I believe it is probably on both.... There's always Huskers.com
  7. I walk by the stadium everyother day during the week now, and as of the past week or so it looks like they are basically finishing up welds on the interior and pouring concrete (for the floors I would guess). So it wouldn't be anything overly exciting to see anyways. All exterior advancement seems to have stopped for the moment, which is to say they haven't finished putting in the windows. Knap's last picture update is pretty much what it still looks like, plus or minus a few windows.
  8. First of all ESPN would never allow that unless we were 13-1 or 14-0, that's just how it works. But if by some fluke it did they would say Bo Penili needs to control his emotions so the mom's don't get scared. Otherwise they would have had a few more 5* guys.
  9. No no it's 1990's. They've finally made it to fully computer animated musicals, next stop Michael Bay movies!
  10. I don't know if you can get an official tour, I'm sure something could be arranged. But if you go in the doors on the North West side of the stadium, next to the Tom and Brook statue, you can walk around the trophy room, view some of the training room (like their small pool), the wieght room, and watch the gameday experience to see the Heisman trophies. Pretty neat to see it all, and definatly something everyone should do once.
  11. On a related tangent: With Ray Lewis more than likely going to ESPN it could finally be their down fall (I could only hope...). Seriously the guy is a polarizing figure, obviously, but the majority of it is strongly negative. I'm basically done watching them for anything but college games, I just can't stand anything they do any more, and I think a good chunk of America probably feels the same way.
  12. Honestly like others have said it's not that great, just a place to get hot and sweaty and eat some average bbq. If you go I would go on the free admission day, I think it's usually a Thursday.
  13. Yes what he did looks awful but from a marketing stand point it does make sense. I just hope he was really concerned about the greater good. Now I don't personally agree with all his environmental stances, but seriously what is so bad about him trying to draw attention to "sustainable capitalism" and the current corruption of our system?
  14. Most men do, but he's saying the right things. You can never know what a man's true intentions, but I would trust him over the status quoe at this point. Because his lie makes you feel good while the others don't? What exactly is his lie? Like i said he's saying the right things about some seriously relevant issues.
  15. Normally, I would agree. But where this girl was a student, I think that's where things get a little sticky. Things did get sticky. He was reprimaned by the university and did whatever he needed to do to get back in the good graces of the AD. Nothing to see here. Exactly.
  16. Are you serious? I agree with Creighton, it's something that happened between two consenting adults. Really what's the big deal? It happens all the time and it happens to top officials at the national level. It really shouldn't be anyone else's buisness but the families and the people involved.
  17. Most men do, but he's saying the right things. You can never know what a man's true intentions, but I would trust him over the status quoe at this point.
  18. Never was one for drunk food, I either feel asleep or threw it up so there wasn't much of a point. But Deleons is definitlely delicious intoxicated or not. I prefer the hash brown burrito but you can't go wrong with Lincoln, Nebraska, or chicken.
  19. So it's basically like ZMA, sideffects and all?
  20. Hey she won an Indy Race. So far she's not doing much worse than her other open wheel counter parts. Toney Stewart seems to be the exception, he can flat out drive.
  21. not on console, I play a couple PC ones... Out of curiosity what do you play?
  22. I agree, although if he used the word fanciful too often I'd have to reserve judgment! i was going to say 'dramatic', did not think that was too much better. Fabulous?
  23. They said it was banned in the NCAA within the first 30 seconds of the video at your link. But if you can't test postive for it then the only way the can catch them is if someone is dumb enough to tell, or take record the incident.
  24. Not true See the statistics There arent any 1 loss teams with anywhere near the turnover margin we had You simply cant be a top 10 team and turnover the ball like we have consistently done the last 3 seasons The statistics in that article prove it, not even close. You CANT be a team in the bottom 10 in turnover margin and be in the top 10, you most likely WILL be in the top 10 if you are in the top 10 in turnover margin It doesn't prove anything! There is no rule about who can and can't be in the top 10. Yes that many turnovers makes it harder, but we weren't that far off this year and I personally don't think it was turnovers that held us back. Here's my stats from our 4 loses: UCLA total yards: 653 turnovers(i/f): 1/1 turnover differential (neb): -1 OSU: totlay yards: 498 turnovers(i/f): 3/1 turnover differential: -3 Wisconsin II: total yards: 640 turnover(i/f): 2/1 turnover differential: -3 Gerogira: total yards: 589 turnovers(i/f): 2/1 turnover differential: -1 In our two blowout loses you could argue that turnovers were a contributing factor. But that doesn't tell the whole story for the Wisconsin game, playing from way behind throwing predictably and forcing balls to make something happen. You field a competent defense and like I said we are talking about maybe losing 1 game despite turnover issues. That's no less true than saying you can't be a top 10 team with our amount of turnovers. Yes turnovers are an issue, but they are not our biggest issue in my opinion. We find a competent return man and we have 5 fewer turnovers, and don't forget about the couple of garbage time turnovers in there too.
