What angers me about that whole situation is the spin put on by the commentators. The nerve of them guys to place the blame on Taylor for not getting out faster. What the hell. The SEC love fest and bias is out of control. Well they were right! It's a problem he's had his entire career. He lets up when the side/goal line is in sight. Was the hit excessive, yes. But more importantly it was completely legal. Jessi Palmer loves Nebraska and more specifically Martinez. There was no bias there, it was the truth. They did heap all the praise on Georgia during the game but after our CCG performance what more could they really say about us.

Haha, I love this! He's gotten more praise from an SEC fans than he does from his own fan base. I just wish we would have called a few designed QB runs, when he started chirppin with that #32 or whoever it was you could tell he just wanted to bust loose for a big one. Thought you guys were a class act minus that guy. He was kind of a punk, didn't have any reason to run his mouth either. He got beat plenty of times by Taylor and the only shot he gave was in his back when he was heading out of bounds.

Pretty much spot on with how I feel. I think I'm more excited at the end of this season than I was at the start of it. A win in the bowl game would have been amazing! Setting us up perfectly for a NC consideration like you said, but it shouldn't be too hard for us to climb our way up as things stand right now. SOS probably won't help us out though. This bowl game wasn't a morale victory but it was an affirmation that the gap between us and the "Elite" programs is pretty small and anyone who doesn't realize that has blinders on. With better safety play we maybe drop 2 games this year. I can't remember UCLA too well but I think we would have won that one, and we definitely would have been in the OSU and CCG. And all other things being the same I think we would have forced overtime or one by a touchdown in the bowl game.

But we didn't win the game, and I don't know if you can find a Husker fan that would honestly tell you we belonged in that game.

Relax it was just some good natured ribbing, and we are talking about athletes not the university as a whole. There's not much of an argument in that since Nebraska leads the nation in Academic All Americans. I've always had respect for Georgia, they are probably the classiest of the big boys in the SEC. As for those 40 times, you did watch the game didn't you? Pretty sure our guys were step for step with yours most of the game, it just came down to talent and execution. Something we've been lacking all year long. The SEC doesn't play football any different than the B1G, Big 12, or the PAC 12. You just have the advantage of picking from the cream of the crop in higher population centers with a more pleasant climate. That's your advantage over the B1G and some of the Big 12. I don't know what you're talking about with the option. There are many variations of it and just about every team has it in the play book. I know you didn't say this, but to claim that it doesn't work in the SEC is either ridiculously ignorant or you're a complete fool. The option works at every level of football in some form or another. RGIII and Cam Newton (to some extent) have proved that the past 2 years.

Yeah, I just laugh when I hear their "praise". The guy was driving the pile and breaking loose for big runs against god's conference. He'd be a gamer anywhere he played. And Ameer flat out broke some ankles today, just wish he could take care of the ball. That should be his number one priority this off season. I think poor safety play was our biggest problem again, but this time in pass defense. I'm not sure if it was by design or if they were just out of position, but it seemed like we were trying to jump routes in the middle as opposed to staying deepest as the deep and helping out the corners.

I would consider them to have something of a dynasty in the 90's, but I definitely wouldn't use them as a litmus test for what a dynasty "is" like the author implied. FSU was consistently good, they just weren't THE dynasty of the 90's. Thought it was funny how he's a bit choosy with the facts he presents. In the paragraph before he says they didn't win back to back titles like Nebraska did in '94, '95 but neglects that they didn't even win 3 titles in the decade within question like Nebraska did.

I'm not sure why people still think this, I would have figured that scramble in the CCG would have put this to rest. Yes the latter half of his freshman and all of his sophomore year he was less than mobile in the pocket, but that was more than likely due to injures in both lower limbs. No Martinez isn't going to juke you out of your shoes like Denard or Miller but he is elusive and he has proven this year that he can escape the pocket and break tackles. And as for your second to last line there, who cares if the other guys were pulled or not. Taylor broke all these records in just 3 years with less talent around him than the teams of the 90's and early 2000's. He earned everyone of those records and it pisses me off when people try to discredit that. You don't just stumble your way into the record books, it takes some talent and a lot of hard work.

Martinez proved to be a much better QB than Green.... The best Green could have hoped to be was a slightly more athletic Zac Lee.... This stage was too big for Green. He seemed like a great kid, and I wish him nothing but the best. Funny you say that, it's the exact thing I was thinking about the stage being to good for him, too bad does seem like a great kid Yeah, I think he had the talent, but (another cliche) the lights were too bright for him.... Announcers seem to relay as much. Apparently he said something to the effect that he was drawn in by the name or N on the helmet, and he didn't think about the more important aspects like being a good fit in the program.

It really is, anybody with a high school understanding of physics and some background to the missions can debunk just about any conspiracy myth about the moon landings. All the photograph crap is highly suspect to begin with, just about everyone has taken a photo of some kind that had an artifact in it that "shouldn't" have been there. The last paragraph is just And the reason we haven't been back is A) our priorities and motivations went else where after the decline and fall of the USSR and B) it's friggin expensive! And NASA's budget is almost annually slashed.

Trying to understand what you mean by "criminal" kid.... can you explain, or is this just based on the fact that he has tattoos? If this is the case, then I am assuming that you consider about 80% of ALL college or pro football and basketball players are criminals..... the more you talk, the more I can tell that you know absolutely nothing about Nebraska, and you are just here to spout bullsh!t.. Having the same issue using both Firefox and the non-mobile version on my phone. I can see the comments if I go to their profile and click on it there, but not on the front page. It just shoots me back to the top of the page on phone and pc.
