I agree. Bama is on a whole different level than the rest of CFB. It's a level that does not seem healthy for the ideals of CFB, namely "student athletes". Seems way too much like pro ball or at the very least a dedicated feeder team for the pros.
At times I thought Bama was playing defense with 15 guys. Always 4 rushing the passer. Seemed like double coverage on every receiver and linebackers galore covering the ends.
You joke about paying recruits, but seriously why would he have to. He can pretty much guarantee a shot at the championship and no one is developing more draft picks. That's attractive to the type of players he wants, and is part of why he's so good.
