  1. Perhaps he's a good coach? Someone who showed good things in his interview? Frost needs to win now, not hope for an in on a 2024 recruit that could start four years from now.
  2. Who’s leading the crootin in St. Louis? I like seeing so many offers. Would love to start pulling some guys from there.
  3. Thought the same thing. Could make their point even more by eliminating the fringe states that have no titles.
  4. IIRC, Snodgrass was recruited on scholarship and Gifford was a greyshirt, meaning he'd be put on scholarship after his fall freshman year. I think that's different than the others you mention who got scholarships when there were extras available. We have 15 DBs on scholarship. I get Omar might be good, but at some point we have to roll with who we have or let more go at the position.
  5. Looks no different than the rest of your posts
  6. We won't see an extension unless something happens no one is expecting, like winning the conference. There's no upside to it. He's not leaving to go somewhere else, so why after one winning season would you make the buyout harder again? Especially when you look at the extension Moos saddle Trev with on Fred's contract. Trev's smarter than that.
  7. I think that's the problem they're worried about.
  8. I liked Moos, but Trev really seems to have his poop in a group more.
  9. LJS scholarship chart shows 90. But that includes Cerni, and guys who went on one-year scholarships last year like Yant, Jackson, Martin and Leiwer. There's no guarantee they get that renewed next fall. If these guys are down on the depth chart I don't see Frost just handing 2022 scholarships over to them again. Martin: 10 catches, 170 yards, 1 TD Liewer: 4 catches, 24 yards Jackson: 4 tackles (obviously brings intangibles outside of numbers) Yant: 47 carries, 294 yards, 1 TD I feel bad for Honas and his injuries, but would he be in a three man rotation when we have Henrich, Reimer and Kolarevic? Clements? Bando? They're seniors that likely won't see the field much either. There's still room for more.
  10. I live in Minnesota and was in middle school then. Everyone knew I was the Nebraska fan at school. Extra pride with that win. My wife doesn’t get why I still care so much. I said I just hope my boys can experience the joy I did back then. And the Vikes ain’t never gonna win the whole thing. GBR.
  11. Once you declare for the draft you cannot go back and play college football. It's not like the NBA where if you don't get drafted you can go back to college.
  12. I don't know how these practices are run, but I'm guessing you have so many backups on ST because the starters are working on O & D during practice? That leaves the walk-ons and backups with free time???
  13. Their former OL coach Bob Bostad currently coaches their inside LBs. Talk of him moving back to the OL. Can't argue he had a great run coaching their OL, nor can you argue about his track record with their LBs.
  14. Six wins isn’t our dream scenario but it is undeniable progress in the win column which I think we can all agree is the most important progress we want to see. Six is a higher number than anything else in the Frost era. Therefor it is progress. Moving on.
  15. Does it have something to do with his salary being paid by LSU? Perhaps if he becomes an assistant coach then his salary goes way up from an analyst and Nebraska would have to pay more?
  16. I don’t want him at Iowa either, but that’s a pretty bold comparison to say someone without a scholarship offer to a P5 school is going to pan out like the projected top pick in the draft.
  17. We have a kid who played one game and a complete unknown behind him. The last time we had a starter start every game of the season was Tanner Lee. Gotta get someone, even if LS beats him out.
  18. He's 2023 so hasn't signed anywhere yet. Hope we get him next year.
  19. Got a level of cockiness too. Very sure of himself. Need QBs to be that way. I guess even be a prick. Happy with this hire from what I've seen so far.
  20. Found it interesting in the top tweet that you see a split of East vs West and high ranking vs low ranking.
  21. So he'd be DeColdest Citizen? Man I would not want to be that guy.
  22. Outside of a win total, what metric makes sense? Trev doesn’t want to pigeonhole himself into that anyways, at least in public. There’s no good that comes from doing so. We’ve heard about the upward trajectory Trev sees, but that is not a metric.
  23. The guy just got married this fall to a redshirt feshmen on the volleyball team there. She didn't play this year. Can't imagine it's a packaged deal, but holy $h!t being married your second year in college then leaving said college... Good thing we don't have any mental hurdles to jump over in the football program. Sign him up!
