  1. maybe its just me, but i wonder how much of an effect the new offense will have on his production, i should say rushing yards really, idk if he will get as many carries as helu had last year, but it wouldnt surprise me to see him catch the ball out of the backfield alot, he has sure hands and is a threat anywhere on the field, but idk if he will have a ton of yardage on the ground because of this new offense, i hope the coaches give it to him alot and let him wear down the defenses, i think he is that kinda back but idk if he will get the chance to do that all that much
  2. how much do you think that bo changing his defensive scheme this year will affect how we play against the pass? last year our main goal was defending the pass since we were in a pass heavy conference, but in the big ten you almost have to sell out to defend the run, and that usually means that the dbacks will cheat up and then get beat. i know that bo will have the guys ready to play, but idk if he can run as complex defensive coverage schemes playing a true 4-3 instead of the peso
  3. espn.com has a video of him on the front page, it talks about how he is a great athlete and person (things we already know) it is a pretty cool segment about him. plus he is wearing a huskers cut off in it!
  4. i agree i think it has a better chance of being in madison than in lincoln
  5. Do you really wanna throw down with the raddest of all the MODS? Why would I want to fight Zoogies? well played, well played
  6. i will have to agree with you here, i think it will be an advantage for heard that he set out a year, in terms of maturity. he will be a year older and his body will be a year more mature. but idk it might be a disadvantage in that he will have to get back in the flow of playing football and practicing everyday
  7. at least not until texas screws over the remaing members of the big 12 and goes independant and those teams get absorbed into the other conferences
  8. why did baylor have a player drafted in the first round? because the world is gonna end in 2012!
  9. while that may be true, just because you are in a conference doesnt mean that you have to play the same type of ball that the rest of the teams in said conference play. i completely agree i was generalizing that most of the qbs in the big ten that have been really successful have been game mangers for the most part, but there is no reason why t-mart or a running qb cant be successful, it all just matters on wether he has someone to take some pressure off of him
  10. no they dont, but in the big ten it seems like they are more successful because of the pro style run heavy offenses, and by run heavy i mean big bruisers at rb who run the ball 25 times a game and they qb is more of a game manager from under center
  11. wow seriously, settle? how is becoming a pro athlete settling? i would love to see the kid in a husker uni as much as the next guy but he has a once in a lifetime chance infront of him. is college football really worth taking a risk of getting hurt and losing out on millions? and besides if baseball doesnt pan out (which i think it will) he can always come back and get his college education after. oh and if he chooses baseball we will know if he is the next ruth
  12. is it ever just another day at the stadium when your at memorial stadium?
  13. i agree, they have a draft format so the players can cut loose and just have fun. with all the time and work you have to put into football in college and then you have classes on top of it all, it can really wear on you and the spring game is a great way to get away from it all for a day and just have a good time
  14. alot of corners are fairly short, so that might not be a big issue
  15. dang i was hoping there was, thanks tho i appreciate it
  16. how old does your kid have to be before you have to buy them a ticket? i have a son who will be 4 by the time the season starts, and i want to take him to his first huskers game (gotta teach em early!) and i was wondering what the age limit was on this? thanks
  17. david wont go in the first round unless he bulks up, all the NFL cares about is measureables in the draft and lavonte is undersized to be what is considered the prototype NFL linebacker, they will come up with some bs excuse like he wont be able to shed blocks from the lineman in the NFL or something to that effect and someone will pick him up late in the 2nd or earlier in the 3rd and have a great steal
  18. yea i agree, pretty much every thread has turned into a pissing match between t-mart fans and carnes fans. all that matters in the end is that the person that gives us the best shot at winning starts and that we win
  19. hey fro the only thing that would make those pics better is if your boy was standing next to gus gorilla instead of that bearcat! lol jk GO PITT!
  20. this Nigerian bias is dumb, idk why they are rumored to be soft, if i remeber right there was a running back for the chiefs whos nickname was the nigerian nightmare. i think his name was christian okoye, but i dont remeber seeing him play but he must have ran hard with a nickname like that!
  21. It looks like he's wearing Adidas Techfit shorts under his uniform. The silver stripes show through the pants. i agree except it almost looks likt the pants are techfit pants tho, cuz the stripe stops at the seam
  22. smith is really good, especially if he can stay healthy, but everyone was so high on gabbert it surprised me that aldo went before him. i think gabbert has all of the physical tools to play in the nfl, but i think he will have a very hard time with good decsion making
  23. maybe im the only one but i never expected aldo smith to go before gabbert or prince either one. and i never expected missouri to have two picks in the top ten!
