  1. This Berringer documentary is a bittersweet end to the day. Brings back some great memories. RIP Brook.

Yea it was put together well!! Makes me remember what college student athletes are all about!!! Also helped me remember how much of a bad boy mentality Nebraska had in 1995!!

Being a Seahawks and RW3 fan, makes me think similarly of who Brook was and who Russell is. Those personalities are truly amazing, inspiring, and exactly why I love sports.

  2. Does Johnny have more speed then TA? I am sure we have been spoiled the last 3.5 years by TMart's elite speed at the position, but TA seems so slow when he keeps on the read option, and other designed runs.
  3. Any chance Johnny takes over the starting quarterback role from Tommy next year, or is Tommy a lock for the next few years? I know Johnny was coming off injury, but haven't hard much about him since he has been on campus.
  4. What would be the alternative to these two outcomes?
  5. Is there really any chance Bo's get's the boot before season's end?

  9. In light of the current Big Ten title game, it got me pondering the worst husker game I can recall. This certainly has to rank towards the top. Some other games that come to mind -- not necessarily all blow outs: 2001 Colorado Game 2009 (?) Game against Oklahoma 2010 Big 12 Title Game 2012 Big 10 Title Game
  10. Play of the game Kenny Bell.

  11. If the people that complain about Bo's sideline behavior saw what happens behind closed doors at halftime, they would be in for a surprise. That's competitive sports for you. Happens in high school, college, and the pro's.
  12. Spielman finally asks Sean to drop it with the fumble at the goal line -- classic!
  13. You can put it on the boooaarrrddd ... YES!!!

  14. Does ESPN know we are in the Big 10 now? Seems about every game the break in with a "Conference Update" featuring a team from the Big 12.
  15. About the same thing happened to my brother. He works in Omaha, and would see Tommie a couple times a week, and they would say hi, and chat everyonce in a while. My brother's wife had a cousin (15 years old), who had brain cancer, and they were heading out to Illinois for a silent auction to try to raise some money to help with the expense of treatments. My brother explained the situation, and asked Tommie if he brought in a football, if he could sign it, so the football could be sold at the silent auction. Tommie said sure .... ..... but I am going to need $75. Tommie sure is a class act.
  16. Perhaps it's a matter of opinion - I watched the Wisconsin game and I watched our game. I'd rather we lose the way we did 10 times out of 10, to the opponent we did, in the fashion we did. Wisconsin is the reigning B1G champion - what happened to them is far more embarrassing than a team losing to UCLA who didn't even win their division last year. sh#t happens, football teams lose. People need to deal with it rather than get on here and proclaim their poor prediction skills to everyone. It was the second game of the season. We might have a worse loss this year, we might not lose another game. I don't think I've seen enough to say we won't hit 9 wins. Did you see the way other B1G teams played today? I'd say 9 wins is doable. Of course it is just a game. I did watch the Wisconsin game, and I can't say I would have rather lost the way Nebraska did this evening, then the way Wisconsin did this evening. I don't see the logic in comparing each team's performance this year, with their results last year, but that is your opinion. You are absolutely right though, we could win out, or lose 5 more times. Do I think we will get to 9 wins (original question being asked in this thread) -- No. PS -- UCLA did technically win their division last year, and played in the PAC 12 CCG, because USC was ineligible.
  17. Warranted perhaps? Would you rather be Nebraska who just lost to UCLA, or #8 Arkansas who lost to a far inferior Louisiana Monroe, or Wisconsin who lost to OSU? I think our situation is far better than what those teams showcased. It's football - you lose. People need to get over it and be constructive, not freak out. Is Wisconsin losing to OSU any different then Nebraska losing to UCLA? Wisconsin looked absolutely terrible - they scored seven points. If you'd watched that game and this game, you'd see that Nebraska played significantly better than Wisconsin ever did. So, yes, it is different. Really different. Are you saying you would rather lose the way they did then the way we did? Cause I sure don't. Did Nebraska play "significantly" better than Wisconsin played? Two big team teams ranked in the mid teens, losing to mid-level PAC12 teams on the road. Did Wisconsin's defense look better then Nebraska's defense? Yep -- sure did. Did Nebraska's offense look better then Wisoconsin's offense? Yep -- sure did. Not seeing the glaring differences in their loses? Nebraska had a 3rd-Year starrting Quarterback, while Wisconsin had a first-year starter within their system though.

  19. I heard there is some MAC coach that is beating the big boys. He is a little old, but maybe he is interested in coaching in the BIG 10. Send him an application, and check his references -- you have piqued my interests.
  20. At what point to do we consider parting ways with Bo? I am one of the bigger Bo supporters you will find, but I feel like we are stuck in first gear. I know the "but TO didnt win a NC until X #years" crowd will voice their opinion, but I think if we have another 4 loss season, Nebraska does need to consider their options. This isn't 1980 anymore -- take a look at the number of years each head coach has been at their school, for the past few NC title winners. I do not see a better product on the field now, then I did in 2008, and I do think that is a problem.
