  1. . . . what positive momentum? I believe that our win over Georgia gave us a well-needed boost to end the year. Yeah, sure . . . I guess? I'd argue that the bowl game in 2009 was a lot more impressive . . . and yet we saw virtually the same season in 2010 as we've seen in every other year. I'm kind of tired of potential. I'd like to see some results. We've been fairly consistent (for better or worse) but I can't say that I agree that "all of the positive momentum" is applicable. Show me. Less talk, more action. Etc. How was 2010 virtually the same as the last three years? We had a fantastic defense and a fantastic offense until Taylor Martinez got injured against Missouri. That team could have beat anyone in the country when everyone was healthy. The record might have been similar to the last few years, but the team was not even close.
  2. I think that game is the microcosm of everything wrong that has happened during Bo's tenure here: too many turnovers, lack of mental toughness, and a vastly under performing defense. Not saying that defense could have done a whole lot, anyway, since they had so many injuries. From everything we're hearing, the culture has changed after last season, so that should hopefully take care of the mental toughness and under performing defense. Let's see if they can fix the turnover issue, too.
  3. Eh. When you're dealing with clothes, it doesn't really matter. Clothes fade in the sun and the wash and get stained and etc. It's the same color or at least it is equally as close to the same color as a pair of mudded up and faded pants that were the same color. Anyways, my point was that the highlighter yellow that their basketball team uses wasn't because they weren't allowed to use the more traditional color - they did it on purpose because it's popular. I just know that a lot of Michigan fans complain that the football team's yellow isn't the right shade. I'm like you. I can't tell the difference.
  4. Landlord, while you're correct that you can't trademark a specific color for general use, you can trademark it for a specific use, such as on a sports uniform. That's covered here: http://freakonomics....demark-a-color/ From what I understand, Nike has a trademark on the color "maize" for use in athletic uniforms, so Michigan had to switch to the color "sun" when they switched to adidas. From what any of us can tell, the two colors look basically the same, but Michigan fans insist they're different and they are technically different colors. If Michigan or adidas really wanted to, they could probably take Nike to court for use of the maize color, but it's not really worth the time or money for something as trivial as that.
  5. Ndamukong Suh, Prince Amukamara, Barry Turner, Pierre Allen, and Eric Hagg would like a word with you. Don't forget Dejon Gomes and Phillip Dillard. DeJon Gomes was a member of the 2009 class.

  7. To go to who, Nike? That would be hilarious. Actually, it would make sense, cause then they could actually switch back to the maize and blue that they're known for. Nike has a trademark on their maize color, so they haven't been able to use it since they joined team adidas.
  8. Harvey's been working out with a friend of his at the gym I lift at. He's been putting in some pretty serious work. I hope he goes somewhere and succeeds.
  9. He kind of looks like Nate Robinson. It'd be neat if he had his athleticism, too.

  11. I like what I saw, for the most part. Pretty standard spring game stuff. Besides the fact that Mauro Bondi is a terrible placekicker, I don't think we really learned anything from today. That's the same for every school, every year, though.
  12. Yes, Darqueze is Alfonzo's cousin.
  13. Coach Erstad got tossed from the game. Better fire him, along with Bo and Coach Smiles.

Yea, but I chewed her ass so hard she won't sit right for a week. That's the last time she brings me the wrong salad.

NU needs to can all three of them at the same time, and hire these three at the same time. Thank me later.

  14. Once again, this is a new year. You can't let the mistakes of the past shake your confidence in the future. You learn from those mistakes and move on. If they sit there and dwell on all the bad mistakes they made last year, they'll suck. Sometimes, regardless of how bad you've performed, you have to convince yourself that you are a badass mofo and try again.
  15. Why shouldn't he say that stuff? That was last year and this is this year. That's like saying the defense can't be confident because they crapped the bed for most of the season.
  16. Tim Miles won the Jim Phelan Award for top basketball coach..

  18. Cardale "we ain't come to play school" Jones is probably going to be BM's main backup.
  19. I delivered a TV to Givens last year. When I shook his hand, I felt like I was standing four feet away from him. Dude's got freakishly long arms. Hopefully that can help him be a great guard.
  20. The 2011 defense made gigantic strides from the beginning of the season, to the end. Much like the 2013 defense. I had pretty much zero confidence going into the year, though, and they proved my worries right for the three quarters of the year.
  21. Why were you worried about the defense before the 2011 season? Accountability did a good job of answering this, but I'll chime in. It was a few things: 1. Lots of guys graduated from the year before. Prince, Hagg, Gomes, Turner, and Allen were all gone. 2. Alfonzo Dennard was injured at the beginning of the year. 3. Even though both safeties from the year before returned, neither of them provided much to be confident about. 4. Lots of new faces at every position. 5. New LB and DB coaches.
  22. Maybe they're keeping Keels under wraps because he is such a monster and they don't want to give FAU time to gameplan for him.
  23. No reason these guys can't be better than they were at the end of last season. This is the first year since 2010 I won't be worried about the defense going into the first game.
