  1. Best of luck with the rest of the career at Northern Iowa Adam
  2. 18, here with only two complete guesses. I was a decent boob connoisseur back in my former life. Guess the visits to the "clubs" and that college Playboy subscription came in handy in life. HAHA take that mom
  3. HEY maybe NU will wear ALL WHITE unis!!!! Since we are the away team and they look so sweet. If you are that slow and cannot tell I do NOT want to see the above. Now someone say that NU should..........
  4. Got the two books I wanted. The Vault and Big Red Rivals. Both are friggen sweet and loaded with all sorts of cool stuff. The only thing about the Vault that sucks is the crappy glue they used to hold the packets that contain the old tix and stuff is falling apart already. The Rivals book is page after page of sweet pics. Also got a clock for the mancave and another Husker BBQ set. Now I guess we have one for home and one for the tailgates.
  5. I am not feeling that NU is Iowa's new Wisky. NU is now Iowa's new worst nightmare. Just effin' with ya, I knew what you were posting about. Rivals, yes it will. But YES this will also be Iowa's worst nightmare, there is no more excuses about who won't play who. This is what these two states have needed for a long time. Every year, bragging rights for that state. Loser gets Council Bluffs.
  6. Personally this kid was also a big loss. He has been very productive for the Tigers. Even All-Conference honors the last two years. Started as a frosh, could've really helped the depth of the OL. Robinson and Givens also probably would have played a ton here. Who knows how they would have done with scheme NU runs now but the depth would be lot better. Pretty much you could say that about all the guys on the list. Some have achieved, others have been buried in the depth charts and not lived up to their hype. I know one thing though, if the majority of these guys would've signed with NU that would have meant that the angry midget that doesn't get the bigger NU picture would probably still be coaching here.
  7. I am sorry as cool as they may be, the thought that one is saving a performance changing amount of energy based on the weight of their uniform is a joke. Seriously? Also if a player is so caught up in his looks on the field vs. performance why would I want him on the field? Maybe the thought is more for the redshirt frosh that never get to see the field but still suit up. At least they look good. Again a cool concept, but a completely irrelevent scientific breakthrough for uniforms. Pads get heavy when wet, not the uni.
  8. If Florida is a middle of the road football wise, sign me up. This is still a premier program. Losing their greatest QB in school history(as big of a douche as I think he is) plus all the talent they send to the draft year in and year out, you could see a step back occurring this year. One small blip on the radar. Now where they go from here with the Muschamp hire wlll be interesting, but only a fool wouldn't be able to see that their defense is in very good hands. Plus all the youth that they played on defense this year plus all the talent they have recruited the last couple of years(ie Ronald Powell, Matt Elam, Shariff Floyd, Josh Shaw, and on and on)I feel pretty confident they will be stout. Wayne's top three had been pretty set for a while more or less. It is the three stated, with Michigan as the darkhorse. Florida is more than just the local "safe" school. They actually are probably the slight favorite. And expect the press to be put on Wayne even more as the Gators look to replace a DB with the loss of commit of Nick Waisome
  9. This is actually a huge loss for the Gators/Pickup for the Noles. The kid will be a stud
  10. I agree Willie 100%. For me it those that clamor for Scott Frost to make the jump to OC. Yes Scott is doing well this year, but I want someone with more substance to their resume than he won a title here, and his Oregon team is awesome. Scott is not the mastermind behind that attack. A couple more years of success and more offensive responcibility and I am sure he could become a capable OC. But not now. I will say that Doug Coleman would be a fit. Yeah, I know it almost goes against my Frost reasoning, but Coleman while here, before he took a position at Tulane, had more of a hand with the LBs than a lot of people think. And prior to that he was a VERY successful high school coach in NJ, and even coached in NFL Europe as part of the NFL Europa coaching program. So the petigree other than a blackshirt hanging on his wall at home is definitely there. Whereas with Frost it isn't. And as far as Williams, nice coach but with Coleman and others out there, no thanks.
  11. Me too. Been super good. Please, Destinee Hooker was at Texas for like 11 years so can we get Tara for one more?
  12. Seeing this as well. It even says his commitment date was today(the 20th). Oh the preasure of knowing he might have pissed the best thing to happen for him down his leg, may have been to much. However, not seeing any articles about it yet
  13. Now number 19 will be number 18 that once had a chance to be 20
  14. The hiring of Coleman could really be a boost in recruiting the East Coast. He is from Jersey and was a respected high school coach out there for a while as well. I think it would be good for the prgram to get a good foothold out in the east, especially with the move to the Big X. Kids from that area of the country will be less apt to throw the old "man it is cold in Nebraska" excuse out. Coleman and JP could own the area, and there are plenty of talented kids there.
  15. I think Josh didn't help his cause any this summer when he got in the coaches dog house. I believe it had to do with drinking and it was Josh and two other players. I am pretty sure it was mentioned in a thread once upon a football season ago. It is a shame because the coaches were pretty high on him and he was considered a "diamond in the rough type" player from Cali's Inland Empire. I know Crabtree was high on the kid as well. Best of luck to the kid.
  16. Send in the closer. Rough life for JP. Bo: Hey JP I need ya to hope on a plane, leave the 20 degree weather, and head to Hawaii. JP: No thanks Bo I love these sub 15 degree mornings Go get him JP
  17. Unless we somehow magically discover a pitching staff, don't get your hopes up.. Everyone we had that would of been returning left in the draft. It may be a struggle. The defense should be solid and offense should be decent. But pitching will be a struggle and probably define what happens in the season... I don't know enough of what the rest of the big 12 has right now to know about making the tournament, but we'll see.. Here's to hoping that Logan Ehlers can come in and help shore this staff up. Has great stuff already and he's a lefty. Think he would be best by mirroring the Johnny Dorn pitching plan, midweek starter and then moved into the weekend. However, I don't think this can happen unless someone else steps up. I think Logan gets thrown into the fire early.
  18. Probably is BUT I'd like to see another. With Ryan Hill not returning next year, that leaves NU with only three scholly TEs. Only two of those have played being Kyler and Ben. JT Herr is looking like another tragic reach of a scholly who may never see the field. The drop off after Ben and Kyler is tragic. Hopefully someone any from the roster of mostly unknowns can step up next year to help provide more depth. NU actually had a lot of success this year when they lined up 3 TE's(the third being McNeil) and went the power route.
  19. The only thing that a Nike deal would bring to the table are receiver gloves that, when placing your two hands together form the NU logo. THink Mark Ingram in the title game. I like those things and the TCU gloves are pretty sweet. OSU's form the big O. That is the only thing that Nike does that I like. I have been an ADIDAS>Nike guy since high school. Just like the adidas fit and their $hit last longer than Nike, especially training shoes. Plus with adidas we can sing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA8DsUN6g_k
  20. Holy crap like three of them are up and I can't go on. I have buried this so-called "era of Husker football" in the deep innerworkings of my medulla oblongata and now some people feel the need to dig this crap up from the depths of the closet. In honor of cap locks guy WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. The only part I saw with Jamal was when he was talking about being able to throw the ball further than adults. And that then he knew he wanted to be a quarterback. It was early in the show when they were talking about QB's starting out at such young ages these days
  22. And don't forget Braylon Heard! Well...if he passes his ACT...whoo hoo! We will have one proven back on campus for certain next fall and that is Rex Burkhead. Let's not pretend that we are deep at that spot at all because we are not. Green and Robinson are the only two that I can see contributing next year that we mentioned. Heard if he makes it. THIS. Rex will be NU's man next year, and barring injury we have see plenty of flashes of the crazy skills and football savvy the kid has. From that standpoint I am stoked. Green probably slides in at the number 2 spot and I can easily see him having a year like Rex did as a frosh. If he can quickly learn blitz pickups, identification, pass pro he will play even more. Tray, I give a pass to this year. The things this KID went through before the season is something I wouldn't wish on an enemy(even Dan Beebe). You know the mental part of the game for him wasn't there 100% this last year. If he can secure the rock he will see alot more carries next year and definitely is NU's power back. Now Hampton is an interesting rumor. Yes he has rubberbands for knee ligaments, but he can hit that homerun still at any second. Is Iowa losing something huge or is it a case of addition by subtraction. Until more comes out I am not buying into this one. Hopefully Braylon raised his score the 1 point he needs and gets here. If he can pass and get in this spring it would obviously help the RB situation. But if not we are 1 1/2 deep RIGHT NOW going into next year at RB. And we have seen the toll that NU's ball carriers take the last two seasons with injuries. Something to keep an eye on. And I noticed this will be post 701 which means the jersey is in the locker and the only way to exxplain how it feels is this
