  1. Timmy started 1-3 last year but finished strong. Hopefully Tristan has some stones
  2. What does 2019 have to do with tonight? Rhule > Fleck Nebraska > Minnesota
  3. 95% of preseason stuff is all nonsense unless you are listening to someone who actually dives into CFB. Fleck is going on his 7th year and they are more proven than us of course - also at home. Minnesota is not better than Nebraska though in my humble opinion. They have good receiving options and are stout on the defensive front. Other than that, MN is a 6-7 win team talent wise.
  4. The offense has a lot of experience in terms of playing football, but will they mesh game 1? Jeff Sims: 23 starts RB room: 21 total starts Kemp: 25 starts Washington: 18 starts IGC: 7 starts OL: Nouli is the least amount of starts with 14...this unit is ready to be a solid one imo. Lack a little talent but exp. on the line always matters
  5. I was never a fan of Farmer but I did like Nelson. Not that he was great but he was a decent college player. Tannor got a little better, but in his defense I never felt like he was used correctly under Chinander.
  6. The 1's Lenhardt, Nash, Robinson Sherman, Henrich, Reimer Newsome, Hartzog, Brown, Gifford, Singleton
  7. Ohio St AD is retiring after this season...I'm sure Carter will be there to hire a new one along with input if the Buckeyes continue to hate Ryan Day and look elsewhere after another L to Michigan
  8. Nash Hutmacher 0 John Bullock 5 Nick Henrich 3
  9. We aren't too far removed from Kanawai Noa or Levi Falck as our third WR option...
  10. Oregon UCLA USC Washington Illinois Iowa Minnesota Nebraska Indiana Northwestern Purdue Wisconsin Michigan Michigan St Penn St Rutgers Clemson Florida St Maryland Ohio St
  11. Nebraska finally had a favorable schedule next year and will now play @Oregon @USC @Ohio St
  12. I think Betts is our best receiver. He had some big plays for us in the past where he can run by people. Hopefully Rhule and co. can get him dialed in.
  13. Is it me or does it seem that Marcus Washington hasn't really been brought up all spring? You'd think there would be more discussion given he is by far our leading receiver coming back from last year...
  14. Stats are based on the 2022 season. Non-bold players are transfers Quarterback (6/7 West schools are projected to have a transfer starting QB) (MN) Athan Kaliakmanis 3 TD, 4 INT (54%) 946 yds (WI) Tanner Mordecai 33 TD, 10 INT (65%) 3,524 yds (Southern Methodist) (NW) Ben Bryant 21 TD, 7 INT (57%) 2,732 yds (Cincinnati) (NE) Jeff Sims 5 TD, 3 INT (59%) 1,115 yds, 305 rush yds (Georgia Tech) (PU) Hudson Card 6 TD, 1 INT (69%) 928 yds (Texas) (IA) Cade McNamara (56%) 180 yds (Michigan) (IL) Luke Altmyer (47%) 125 yds (Ole Miss) Running back (6/7 West schools are projected to have a non-transfer starting RB) (WI) Braelon Allen 1,242 yds (5.4) 11 TD (PU) Devin Mockobee 968 yds (5.0) 9 TD (NE) Anthony Grant 915 yds (4.2) 2 TD (IA) Kaleb Johnson 779 yds (5.2) 6 TD (IL) Reggie Love 330 yds (4.6) 2 TD (NW) Cam Porter 286 yds (3.3) 2 TD (MN) Sean Tyler 1,027 (4.9) 7 TD (Western Michigan) Offensive Line (Illinois is the only school with one All-B10 returnee on the OL) Tight End (Only two schools return a tight end who had at least 200 yards receiving last year) (MN) Brevyn Spann-Ford 497, 2 TD (IA) Luke Lachey 398, 4 TD Wide Receiver (IL) Isaiah Williams 715 (8.7) 5 TD (WI) Chimere Dike 689 (14.7) 6 TD (MN) Daniel Jackson 557 (15.1) 5 TD (PU) TJ Sheffield 480 (10.4) 4 TD (NE) Marcus Washington 471 (15.2) 1 TD (MN) Corey Crooms 814 (14.3) 5 TD (Western Michigan) (IA) Seth Anderson 612 (14.6) 7 TD (Charleston Southern) (PU) Jahmal Edrine 570 (14.6) 6 TD (Florida Atlantic) I graded out all factors, some separate from this list and had the following in order for offense in 2023. NOTE: there are 4 new head coaches in the West which will make things interesting. Wisconsin Nebraska Iowa Minnesota Purdue Illinois Northwestern
  15. I would not be shocked at all if he doesn't end up in Lincoln
  16. I don't care about ratings anymore honestly (besides DL). Just coach up kids and win games.
  17. I doubt we have a chance but Antonio Reeves from Kentucky is rumored to hit the portal. Had us in his top 5 out of HS. Averaged 14 ppg last year.
  18. Is Nebraska still at 2 open roster spots?
  19. Plays a lot like Luke Reimer
  20. Fidone dwarfs Riley Ducker and others https://twitter.com/qbcoachnewcomb/status/1658863852535132161?s=46&t=i5EkReXoS09Ur5GYf422pA
  21. 88 but we could technically be lower if someone has accepted the 'retirement package' I assume there will be two LBs to hit the portal this week
  22. Obviously I wanted CT to come back but I think Nebraska is better with a true mobile QB going forward. Always felt like this was our bread & butter.
  23. 90/85 but I assume the staff wants 3 more portal players. If 8/10 of these leave I wouldn't be surprised to get to that number. Javier Morton Seth Malcom Kaine Williams Tommi Hill Emmett Johnson Tamon Lynum Jalil Martin Chase Androff Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda Ajay Allen
  24. Only 7 more to go but I'd guess 10 since we need a few bodies at certain areas.
  25. Grant many times last year wouldn't get vertical to get the extra yard and drove me nuts. Ervin has shown he doesn't have the best vision, but with QB being under center it will help him more. Allen is more of a shotgun zone read guy but either way I hope he stays. Rahmir is someone who I still like and he has the straight line speed and toughness to be effective. IMO so far I'd have my three as Grant/Rahmir/Ervin in that order. Allen has lots of potential if he can dig deep to find it under this staff.
