  1. Well I know one thing, Thorell would be starting for at least 2 Division I teams... Baylor and Washington I am trying to remember back. When did Thad Randle get injured? I know it was a couple games in. Wondering if he will qualify for a med RS at some point. I am guessing it was after Crick, so that would be a "no" on the med RS. I really think our interior DL is going the be a strong suit for this team for a few years. Just need to bring along some DEs next year.
  2. Will be hard for Baylor NOT to score again.
  3. He'll be good, if they can keep the talent level around him. It seems like Sark has been doing a decent enough job recruiting. The D lacks overall team speed, but as long as Price has Seferian-Jenkins, he should be set. Those two are a deadly combo.
  4. I have been patient with Doc, but I am ready for a change. He has had more than ample time. I think with the new facilities, we bring a new coach with a fresh perspective and the ability to bring in a few studs that want to play right away. I honestly think Nebraska is ready to embrace and support basketball, but it's just absolutely BRUTAL to watch right now. If people stop watching, the AD's hand will be forced.
  5. I know Joe Dailey would look good in this game, but Price is impressive for a sophomore. I thought that when we played him... much more impressive than Jake Locker.
  6. You can just hear the disgust in Spielman's voice.
  7. I wonder what Bo Pelini's take is of this game so far?
  8. I'm having a hard time enjoying this. I want to see some D.
  9. Has done nothing at Nebraska. Good luck at your next endeavor, JT. Now lets find a TE who can contribute.
  10. Coincidentally, his overall rankings in those major statistical categories are good barometer of my feelings on Beck this year... middle of the road. I think he showed some creativity and the ability to adjust, which is refreshing. But he called some stinker plays and stinker games. My expectation is to see more creativity and fewer stinkers next year, and continue that upward trend. It's a matter of experience, which makes everyone better at their jobs. You could argue that the Big Ten is strong defensively, but I argue that Nebraska's talent level should trump all other teams sans Michigan and Ohio State on a regular basis. Then it comes down to coaches and scheming. I hate the excuse that Nebraska seems to always be in a "learning" phase, whether it's learning new techniques by the DB's, or learning a new Offense due to coaching turnover, or learning new opponents tendency... I am ready for some continuity so that excuse can go out the window.
  11. 15 years old and he knows who Tom Osborne is? Maybe the outlook for our youth isn't so grim, after all. Work hard if you want it. good luck
  12. How in Gods name did Alex Henery NOT win the Groza? Still burns me to this day.

It was a sham. The Groza is dead to me.

  13. 1 down, only 10 to go. You, sir, are a prophet.
  14. It just baffles me how hard these exams are for some people. I know there are people out there that are bad a taking tests, but when you take the ACTs multiple times you should start to get an idea of what to expect. PLUS I am sure Charles has been doing practice tests and been tutored... at least I would hope so. i dunno. We need this guy bad.
  15. Nice compilation of information there, cb. I'm not interested in taking a site under my wings, but I surely do wish you the best as you battle through whatever it is you are dealing with.
  16. It gets worse every year. We could have Dan Marino in his prime and we would have people complain about his lack of mobility. Even TD Tommie wouldn't be good enough for the fans. Kind of a drag, huh? It's the day and age. It's an overall lack of patience. The "I need everything now" generation. I am part of the generation, but I can see how it has cursed the husker nation to a certain extent. You will get the people that come into the thread and say "We can say what we want, its a forum... I can complain about Martinez all I want". That's true, but its strictly for YOUR entertainment purposes and the affirmation that you are football savvy and know what it takes to be a national champion coach, but it has no repercussion on your day to day life. The mountains of negativity DO carry some weight when it comes to the team you are such a "die hard" supporter of. We say "Well the athletes shouldn't waste their time reading our message board..." but it's obvious now that they do. If there was a forum that publicly carried conversations about your work/school/sexual/parental performance, or whatever is dear to your heart, I will bet you all the money in my pocket that you would find yourself creeping in to take a look what's being said? Right? And you would hold a certain level of disdain for someone if they are repeatedly criticizing your performance, no matter what level of effort your provide or how good a job you are doing. Some people need to get a grip and realize why Bo and the team struggle embrace the fans like we feel they should. I'm not saying that posts that talk negatively about certain aspects of the team should be banned... I am just saying that some people need to really think about what they are typing before they hit that "Post" button.
  17. This is really weak bulletin board material, but the MSU coaches just reached to find something they could try to rally their team around to pin the focus on their next game. Martinez didn't mean to disparage the MSU defense as much as he wanted to portray confidence. Martinez just has a weird way of answering questions and dealing with the media. I heard that comment and didn't think a thing of it... it was typical Taylor.
  18. Could be the most important recruit of the class. an absolute must-get.
  19. The infusion of young talent on the Offensive side of the ball has certainly helped, along with a healthy Oline We have a tough stretch of games coming up. I think we will find out a lot more about our Offense during the next few games compared to years past.
  20. ahhhh... I didn't even think of this. Anyone have the rulebook handy? Is that written in the rules that you can't have 2 forward passes in one play, even if the first was behind the LOS? On the trick play? the first toss was to a player running in front of Gray, then the reverse man got the ball, then Gray got it again. When he threw it downfield it was the SECOND forward pass on the play. They got our fumble call right based on the rules, but it's a stupid rule IMO.
