  1. That's a good one. But on the flip side girls who say they don't lift because they don't want to look like a man. Agreed
  2. It's money in politics. This isn't a democracy. Money buys elections, money buys legislation, money buys the passing of legislation. Money helps those with money gain more money. Money helps those with money not lose any of their money. Money buys commercials and "news" that lull the masses into thinking their "side" is good and right and that their opinion and their vote matters.
  3. High School P.E. teachers who pretend the girls don't exist and don't teach them how to do anything (e.g. squats, bench press, deadlifts).
  4. A guy who thinks it's fine for his grown man of a boss to refer to people as c**ts and p*****s beats his wife. Color me surprised.
  5. What's new? Haven't the players been "signing in" to lifts for several years? Don't get me wrong, it is very cool and cutting edge to closely follow gains and progression. Is there something new about what the staff is doing with the numbers? Just curious... A lot of the players had others sign them in and then would skip the lifting session. A majority of the time, Dobson had his assistants running the sessions and he would be doing something else. I have been told that Philipp is very hands on during the sessions and is there all the time. Making the player accountable for each other when it comes to training time. Not doubting what youre saying but I thought the point of the technology was to monitor weight/reps and potentially other statistics... Wouldn't that require more than just a login? They (whoever logged in) would have to actually do the reps unless Pelini's staff failed at utilizing the data. Which wouldn't surprise me since Pelini likes to "go with his gut."
  6. Throwing mechanics are the least of his problems. It's mostly mental. E.g. he throws the ball into triple coverage when there's no one within 10 yards of one of the other receivers or a running back.
  7. It's not like you'll stop by anyway. True. It's like 5 blocks from where I live. I don't like road trips.
  8. Have you considered telling people where the tailgate will be located?
  9. Hmph. No he won't. And I'd rather ride in the snow than the rain any day.
  10. Hmmm, since 2000, OSU has the third best record in the Pac 10. Not exactly comparable to Purdue or Iowa State either. I'm kind of getting sick of fans talking down about OSU like it's still 1995. And who was the coach for most of those years? Hmmmm. Don't even try talking to that guy.
  11. This would be great. If he's the best talent we have at quarterback, then he will set himself apart. However, I don't believe for a minute the talk about Riley adjusting to his personnel. It will be who fits Riley's system.....which is a pro style drop back quarterback. I don't think our running game will be as strong under Riley. (But I'm sure Riley "appreciates" the input from Dr Tom anyway......) If this was anything new from you, maybe someone would care.
  12. Yep. Lost in the 2010 Big 12 Champ game 23-20. Had 4 turnovers. 1 in the endzone that I believe was a pick thrown by TM. Not to mention TM was still in bad shape.
  13. Y'all should quit saying you'll take their packages.
  14. This thread would've been so much better if the OP-maker had replied (multiple times). I am disappoint.
  15. I think I only watched a quarter of that Washington game.
  16. My cat is my spotter. She walks under my arms when I'm lifting things.
  17. I could jump 46" if there was a spider involved.
  18. Slow? 5 out of 26 guys to run so far are sub 4.6 That's a pretty slow RB group overall. Not a lot of speedy prospects - lots of big bodied guys this year. Edit: Langford just ran a 4.43 I don't think you understand the definition of slow.Slow = Me and you. Matter of fact, I'd bet you are slower than me, and I'm not the one calling any of these guys slow......you are. I don't think you understand that he's comparing them to other people who've done the combine, and who the hell cares how fast or slow we are? That has nothing to do with this topic. I didn't say it did genius. I said calling people slow because they run the forty yard dash in 4.6 seconds is probably a misuse of the word SLOW. Me calling him and I slow is just an accurate use of the term and the best way I could illustrate the proper use of the word SLOW. Those guys who ran today are FAST. Anyone in the past who ran it in a lesser time were FASTER. The point of the 40 yard dash at the combine is to see how fast the players are. Some of the players are slow in comparison to other players, and the group (if what I'm reading in this thread is correct) is slow in comparison to past years. But let's be nice to the players so we don't hurt their feelers.
