CU looks to be running a 3-4. That is a change from previous years, so they could struggle early in the season. CSU getting some guys wide open down field.

Denver. This might be the last game of that contract where they play at Mile High. Attendance has been pretty poor in recent years.

CSU is not good, but I still want to catch some of this game. Maybe I will have one more bourbon and watch the first half.

  4. Whoever said to watch the Dave Chappelle stand up was right, it is amazing.  Also...there are a handful of you that should not watch it...EVER...trust me!  Hahaha

  5. The rumor mill is buzzing that Ozigbo has locked up the 3rd back spot in NO.

  10. With Gebbia getting passed over again, it got me thinking about that class if recruits. Has any of the Calibraska crew panned out anywhere?

  13. SPAM...the "meat" not the stuff that a lot of you guys post...what are your thoughts?  I like it.

  14. Not quite two weeks in, so maybe it improves, but this Severe/Benning combo is pretty terrible.

  16. I have been watching a ton of tape over the last few months. I think calling Nebraska's D horrible or abysmal is a gross overstatement, and it doesn't really explain why we lost 8 games. Despite not having a true nose, good safeties, and starting the best catch tackler/ most underwhelming 4 year starter in Nebraska history (D.Young); they didn't get a ton of help from the Offense when it mattered. Our Offense was so boom or bust, but mostly bust. There are so many quarters where the Offense did not put up points. If Nebraska is able to just eliminate scoreless halves and quarters, it changes everything. Let alone a decent jump on D would make Nebraska more than formidable. They could contend for the conference rather easily.

  19. Did my annual online shopping for new Husker gear last night.  I hate buying stuff without trying things on, but it has to be done when buying Husker gear from out of state.

  20. Dang, WSU is getting a HBO Hard Knocks show...#Jelly

  21. This is an oversimplification, because I know that the 2017 UCF season was in large part a product of the leader, student of football, and coach that Frost had become up to that point. But I was thinking on my drive to work about the following statement: The 2017 UCF season was in my opinion the best thing to happen to Nebraska football since the 1998 season. I wouldn't have expected that to ever have become the case if I went back 15 years.

  22. Apologies if it’s been discussed but does anyone know where the Husker pep rally/related activities would be in Boulder the Friday nite before the game? Assuming there will be something that is.

  23. Dang, Severe's show on the OWH is coming to an end.  I"m not surprised, given some cryptic tweets he has sent out recently, but I have enjoyed listening to him.  It sucks the show won't be around for football season.

@Minnesota_husker thanks for the insight into the Omaha radio biz.  I like following sports media, just because it interests me.  I don't mind it when sports guys talk about entertainment and pop culture, because it can get old talking nothing about sports and making up opinions on stupid topics.  I listen to 1310 The Ticket out of Dallas almost every day because their shows do a great job of blending sports, entertainment, music, pop culture, and a lot of other topics.  They have loyal listeners (P1's) all across the country.  I haven't lived in the DFW area for more than 10 years, but I still listen to that radio station via their app.

I'm listening to Severe's comments from his show this morning.  It sounds like Severe is driving this decision by leaving for another opportunity.  He's probably leaving for 1620, but my guess is that he was looking to leave due budgetary issues with the OWH.

I usually only listen to the Omaha radio guys during football season, and even then I only listen to segments which interest me.  Those guys have local radio gigs because they can typically talk Husker football August-February and during Spring practice.  The non-football times have to be tough for those guys to fill 3-4 hours of a talk show.  I don't know what Benning and Sharpe said about Moos and his drinking, but Moos does seem like the type of guy who enjoys a few cold ones (which I don't see any issue with).
