Let's be real. I'm usually in the student section as I'm loud and will never act old. That said I sat in north stadium for utc and it was lame. Fresno I was in student section and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was loud and excitable. Our fans need to realize how sad it is to sit for a game. Stand up and freakin shout. Any top 25 team should have an insane home advantage....we don't anymore. During utc I moved from north to northwest where my parents sit to say hi and stood and yelled and had three people tellineg me to sit down and be quiet. Sorry bluehairs....its time to restore memorial stadium volume. Crank it up!

Id recommend a visit to barrys or brewskys for a beer before the game. Dinner at any local place is ok but my favorite is Ali babbas gyros on like 14th and o street between bar hopping. Just walk around and take it in. People should be nice unless you trash talk some drunk college kids.....enjoy.

I think we have a plan. I find it hard to swallow that a coach would deliberately call plays he knew would not work however. I think we just can't execute what we have put in so far. I think we will get better but don't expect that suddenly we will change to what we are "really" gonna run and have some miracle shift in offensive ability. I'm sure there are plays and formations we are holding back but what you see is what you get I think and I doubt it will change much. We need to get our playmakers the ball. I think the biggest change will be seen in how we do that. Screens and short routes and even some misdirections but one thing is evident to me....turner...bell...enunwa...abdullah and others need the ball.

We figured out we are an air it out offense first. Then if the other defense has less than 9 guys on the line Taylor checks into a option keeper and scores. It took 6 1/2 quarters to figure out that other teams sell out with 9 guys to stop the run so we should air it out. Amazing thing though is we seem to be able to throw deep to talented youngsters. Otherwise we are a 3 and out offense. Turner, Bell, enunwa and reed need to be in on every play.

I'll take the blue angels but if a b1 bomber or two flys by ill be happy. At afterburner I know of no military aircraft as loud as a b1.

I was at game and thought we were awful on oline. When I watched it back it was just blocking mistakes and mis reads etc. Fixable freshman/sophomore mistakes. I'm more relaxed about where we are. I think we will improve dramatically. I'm excited.

I'm optimistic that cotton will be fired after the season. As for our team....we are championship caliber on defense and kicking. Again. But worse on offense than last yr. Oline is awful. Saying we were simple is dumb. We couldn't push...block...or execute while being super simple ...that means we will look worse when we get more complex. Wrs can't catch and rbs are helpless without an oline. Expect to win 9 games but nothing more.

Every program in the country like us who has tradition and is at or even close to the 800+ ncaa win club has the tradition because of a heritage or a mantra or identity that works. Nebraska has never won a national title throwing passes. We have sucked trying to but never succeeded. Point is regardless of ESPN or anyone else's analysis ....they don't know husker football. They talk out of their rear ends and think they know but don't. See callahan experiment. We recruit well for speed option and power running. Not pro style anything. Pound the rock.

In practice abdullah and kenny bell run with no 2 offense and have several plays with pitches and reverses. I'd expect there will be different packages that highlight each players talents and best skills. I think behind burkhead it will be a steady rotation and don't think anyone will just be a super star but think they will do well.

It's not that surprising of a final four. All the other schools mentioned are under investigation for paying players so they have probably cut their payroll. Now since there is no obvious monetary advantage in institutions he can choose based on quality of dollars.

Boise is not a top team because they don't win consistently week to week in a competitive conference. We've all see appalachian st beat Michigan ....anyone can beat anyone once when they can practice for a year for one team. When you play the big dogs week after week it changes the landscape. Put boise in the sec...big 12 or big 10...even pac 12 and they are .500 at best.

If anyone questions pelini as a coach after going 9-? Or 10-? for years as a time or any year for that matter they are morons. In today college landscape Osborne would have trouble winning 9+ games a year. Especially in big12/Big10. Pelini is great. Give him 25 years and he's a legend

If the ncaa doesn't say the following I'd say every team in the ncaa should pay its players and recruits....."Miami I sentence you to death. For 20 years you are not allowed any football scholarships. You will exist as a walk-on program only. You forego all wins for 20 years and will participate in no television revenue for ten years. No bowl games and no conference payouts will be given. All trophies for last ten years are to be returned and you will never be allowed to be called tha U publicly again or you will pay $1,000,000 for each time that stupid thugs talk is mentioned. It's awesome. Finally we are approaching the depth of the 90's on defense. These coaches are recruiting speed and Smarts and coaching it and developing it. Soon only juniors and seniors will start. We will be 4 deep at every position. Only hope offense gets there.

Where is Charles Jackson when you need him. Regardless of if dennard is injured we need depth there so young guys need to step up. Hopefully stafford is as good as advertised. Antonio bell may emerge too.

The big 12 was destined to fail. Texas is perfect state for my political and social views and morals but is so arrogant with its football. You have to appreciate good football while maintaining class and appreciating the other better team if there is one. May the best team win. Texas is so arrogant in its football world.
