Just saying, Nebraska (including our fan base) shouldn't be willing to take a backseat to anyone....

It's because you remind us of Texas. It's not because we lost to you guys in the Shoe. Ohio State & Michigan run the Big Ten just like Texas & Oklahoma ran the Big XII. The best recruits in the conference are in your backyard (just like Texas) and Michigan has to cross the border to recruit (just like Oklahoma). You both are large, wealthy universities that are successful in a number of sports. You're just the new Texas in our minds, that's all. For the record, I don't mind Urban Meyer. He's a hell of a lot better than Mack Brown. . As a fan, I refuse to relinquish control of the B10 to Oho St. and Michigan..... I would hope the Nebraska program feels the same way.... Historically, and currently, what have they done that we can't do, or already haven't done? Nebraska is their equivalent.....

Anyone that "hates" Duke, is well, a hater.... That program has always done things the right way.... Needless to say Im a big Duke fan....

Hahaha, and what was your score? Football, and basketball require more physical effort, and they put more on your body, sure.... As far as degree of difficulty when trying to achieve what is considered "success" in each sport? It isn't even close. There are a lot more good football/basketball players than there are good golfers, no matter how you want to break it down....

What an incredible battle it'll be between Armstrong and Stanton to replace Martinez after next year.... Wow....

I just don't see us losing to Michigan like most do on here.... I like the way we match up with them with Gardner at QB.... Will we be undefeated going into the B1G championship? I don't think it is a stretch to believe it as a possibility....

JD can bench press jack and cokes and Marlboros and run a 40yd dash in under a minute. What defines an athlete? I define it as someone participating in sport. Obviously there are different kinds, but a golfer is one with the most skill.... No doubt.

Yeah, I think Afalava sneaks into the starting lineup. Just a hunch from watching all their high school highlights.... No matter who starts we are incredibly deep at that position....

you're getting a little too hyped up after this win IMO. Great depth doesn't mean great players. We still will be one of the least raw talented groups in the B1G again next year. I do like Miles and think he has potential with the facilities and what not to get this program jump started, but i do also believe at this point in the season Doc would have also had 3 wins in B1G play. Maybe gotten blown out bigger in some games, but we are playing about what everyone expected. I'm with your line of thinking. I don't follow B1G basketball that closely, but we're definitely one of the least talented teams in the B1G if not the least talented. And next year, although we'll have better depth and it'll be the second year for Miles, we'll still be a rough squad. I think having a .500 mark in the B1G is high expectations and about the best season we can hope for. All that said, I'm pleasantly surprised with this group and really looking forward to the future. I didn't expect us to win a single B1G game this year, and although Sadler may have also had three wins to this point, I also think he probably would have had worse losses under his belt. I believe that Miles is going to take us places this program has never been before.... That is all I'll say.... To the smartass that will make the post: I'm not just talking about the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney....

I think it would serve Bo well to let ESPN, or BTN into his practices more. I know he doesn't like that type of thing, but it might be beneficial if not necessary in the game today.... When Bo wants to be (like at his recruiting press conference) he is very likable. It is easy to appreciate his cander, and he often shows how reasonable, and smart he is, when he wants too.... Urban is great at what he does, but he is a douche-bag....

Nebraska has every resource available too them, aside from a fertile local recruiting hotbed, to be able to win multiple national championships in our lifetimes. Our fan support is unrivaled.... Our facilties, and gameday experience are among the best in the game. As Pelini said, this place is special, and it can sell itself to the right kind of recruits. I think there will be another season (probably multiple in my opinion) where we have the right guys on the team, and win another National Championship. I think as a fanbase, we worry about our national relevance. Nebraska still matters nationally. That is why when we have a hot start to season they want to shoot us up the rankings (like in 2010 when we were ranked 5th going into Texas game). Our top 10 recruiting class is indication that we are important. Nebraska is still very capable of winning National Championships. I believe we have the right coach in place, and he is gathering the right players in order for us to get this accomplished....
