  1. This. Its definitely possible but there are enough questions to debate if it's likely or not.
  2. Also think Frost goes for FGs in that 30ish yard range instead of going for it on 4th down, where some of his 3rd down playcalling leading to that 4th down was questionable at times.
  3. Honestly I don't think he gets mentioned enough. If he can come in an make some sort of notable impact on the group, we'll be in a much better place. Of course it remains to be seen.
  4. We win Colorado, Indiana, Purdue and Iowa. Maybe even get up on Wisconsin some where Chryst had to throw a little more then you never know what happens.
  5. There were several games after Oct 5th where Nebraska not doing the little things killed any shot of a 7-5 season. Several fundamental errors in both Indiana and Purdue games. To me had Nebraska been better in the slightest of details, they likely beat Colorado, Indiana, Purdue and Iowa.
  6. I feel some of it is that Frost is still trying to build his roster as well. When depth and overall talent increase, I bet you see those numbers drop some. Maybe not bottom half but when things are more stable we could see a decrease.
  7. If he does, it will be to another Pac 12 school imo. He never seemed to want to leave their footprint.
  8. Right. You don't risk anything to chance at that point. That may have been something you called if you were up 21+ in the mid 3rd qtr or later. Martinez hadn't played in weeks and Nebraska lost a game they should've won against IU so they needed some confidence/momentum. Then you had a game looming against Wisconsin following this one. Maybe I making too big of a deal of it but making a bowl changes the perception of things quite a bit imo.
  9. As some have said, it's a play to set up other plays, notably inside zone, where were sort trash there. Frost's intent is to get defenders out of the box and this is one way to do so. The biggest issues were perimeter blocking and not having deep threats down the field. The one that bothers me the most was the pass to Mills during the Wisconsin game where Baun knew it was going to him, cheated to the flat(Allen missed his block and he missed many this past season) and hit DM so hard the ball flew damn near out of south stadium(exaggeration). I feel there was already enough film and games played that Iowa just sat on the play for the most part. A part of me feels the play at the 9:00 mark kept us out of a bowl. Still think that was a shaky playcall. You have a QB that had been suspect with his decision making up to that point, while being out for several weeks. Your team had been reeling and needing confidence, and you needed to do whatever was necessary to build the biggest lead possible because your defense had proved time and time again that it was prone to falling apart later in games. 2 yards from the endzone in that situation was not the time to call that play when the team was fighting for bowl eligibility.
  10. Interestingly enough I was watching that same play earlier today.
  11. Think he wants a shot at QB wherever he goes.
  12. All for a kid that transferred and ultimately never to be heard from again.
  13. He has the length they like on the edge.
  14. Cost us our best chance at a conference championship this past 20 years.
  15. Not getting them has cost us a couple of games imo.
  16. Definitely think it was a mistake picking Wisconsin based on offensive fit. Special-Special Teams talent. I look for him to play closer to home.
  17. Tech could certainly pull in a few more guys but their admissions/class load aren't the most conducive to running a big time football program.
  18. OLB, particularly the Boundary types, need to be bigger types like the one you mentioned to have to meet the demands of taking on OTs in the run game.
  19. This is so heartbreaking. Wasn't able to be a kid carrying too much on his shoulders.
  20. It's what a lot of people don't realize. Miami has been average to bad on offense for the last few years. Going into the bowl game they ranked 99th in total offense.
  21. So many things can happen between now and '21, so I don't get caught up in schedules that far out. I'm simply looking at what our team could be versus our current state. Our depth will be a lot better in many places by then, especially in the front 7 and at OL. If things stay status quo, then I agree, but for me I'd like to think we'd be a better overall program in two years. I agree that things could be better from a W/L standpoint, if you're just looking at where we are now compared to other teams.
  22. He played NT against Wisconsin too.
  23. Almost certain some guys will be moved down into the box. Also it shouldn't be undersold how much of an impact this will have on special teams.
