  1. Haha, that's pretty good. Seems like they copped out on anything "zombie...", but kinda funny none the less.
  2. Like many of you have said... -Stafford to OLB or Hybrid, despite being "little", he's a better tackler (which still needs work) than he is in coverage as a safety. Matter of fact, I don't he's been in coverage it's that bad. -Fisher to the bench, BOTTOM LINE. The turf has more tackles this season than he does. -Crick to DE, and tell him to slow the eff down when he gets within reach of a mobile QB and stop passing him and going for the big hit. -Andrew Green to the bench, not sure he's made more than 1 play this season. -Austin Cassidy to the bench. Anyone else think he's starting because he's a senior? Maybe not JUST because of that, but he's just as bad if not worse than Stafford, it's like having Black Tiedke there again. -And Eric Martin needs to be starting, this defense has NO, and I mean NO fire. With David and Martin on the field, they might actually have some swagger, and the QB might actually have to make more than one errant throw in a game. It seriously feels like we just threw a bunch of names in a basket to play around LaVonte and randomly picked them out of a hat and said; "You're starting, go get 'em tiger". Our defense lacks more identity than our offense...and Lady Gaga.
  3. I've always been a proponent of earning your merits. It seemed too "easy" to get a Blackshirt in the 10 years before Bo. Like they were just handed out because you started on defense. Well, that may have been the case originally and for years after, but then our formerly STINGY defense became known as the Blackshirts but with the feeling that they are in fact STINGY and formidable. I like Bo's philosophy now, that you have to earn it. No free rides. Earn it, bottom line. I applauded Bo when he first took them away from them after a poor performance. Bold, but necessary. Captains...I want to say that 3-4 permanent captains before the season starts would be best, but sometimes a leader is born midseason. Who knows, leaders are leaders, and to me a captain is just a guy at midfield during the coin toss. I want leaders, not captains. But I guess you could argue they go hand in hand.
  4. To be fair, we've lost more games wearing the red/whites than the all-whites. We are 1-6 all-time when wearing all-whites, a .143 winning percentage. Compare with our overall .702 win percentage. Cause that makes sense? How many games have we lost in red jerseys/white pants? White jerseys/red pants? THEY'RE JUST UNIFORMS. Look at the teams that have had less than great success during the "all white" times...pretty sure those teams weren't GOOD.
  5. I remember we wore our "Traditionals" in 2004...and all of 2007 (except for the CU game) and still had losing seasons. Those who think the uniform the players wear makes the outcome of the game...well, yeah.
  6. Considering we didn't necessarily dominate the Big XII, I'd say the logic in wondering why it would all of a sudden change in the Big Ten being questionable, is valid. Don't get me wrong, I love the Huskers, but the fact of the matter is...you won't dominate conferences, teams, or games when you're putting the ball on the turf more than points you're putting on the board, AND getting penalty after penalty...and dumb ones at that. 17-24 is where I would think is a FAIR and HONEST placement for Nebraska at this point.
  7. +1 I agree. Kind of like saying the uniforms make the teams lose games. This thread is a great idea. Keeps things condensed so there aren't 30,000 topics about every single little injury that happens.
  8. THIS. This guy just seems like he's a troll himself with story posting privileges on a well known site. It's one thing to post outrageous opinions just to get people's attention and the publicity, it's another when it is completely useless and filled with errors in facts and reasoning.
  9. a time traveling device to provide a better argument when pleading our case at doing the husker experience video ourselves 2 years ago. So what you're saying is; this will never happen again?
  10. What did it take/would it take for this to be reality for the public?
  11. I've always wanted to have a helmet cam put on one of the players (preferably one that doesn't jump around all over the place) just to see what they see on their way out, and hear it how they hear it.
  12. I agree, I wasn't trying to negate anything about the tunnel entrance, I suppose more so just being obvious. I do LOVE the tunnel walk though. The key to it all...that low toned pitch from the beginning of the APP Sirius. Gives me goose bumps every time. Especially when I was on the field during my band years and just feeling/hearing the quick gradual roar of the crowd. I was speaking to ESPN/EA Sports, not directing that at anyone here. No worries And with the Colorado running of Ralphie, I like their winning percentage when Ralphie doesn't make the whole trip
  13. Despite his "antics", I'd have to go with Ochocinco. He can still play, and honestly if his show boating antics are the worst of his "issues", sign me up now. The rest, just are more of a negative locker room distraction than anything. Now, I will say that I was impressed with TOs playing last season, but it seems like he's just a ticking time bomb...again.
  14. Honestly, I'm REALLY surprised Old Trafford (Manchester United's stadium) isn't on that list.

  16. Thanks for the update pic! Doesn't look like much, but then again, construction rarely does at first. That's a pretty sweet angle though, would LOVE to have a picture of her when it's all finished from that point of view. Real slick.
  17. My best thoughts and wishes to the gentleman and his family. People get shot anywhere in Omaha. Unfortunate regardless. I'm sure he will be all right. Had some really fond Husker memories of the guy.
  18. 15 or 16...it hasn't been around as long as touching the horseshoe. As much as I do love this "new" like tradition, I can see why they omitted it. But nonetheless, horseshoe it is!
  19. Probably not. I think the overwhelming issues is universities, fans and agents giving improper benefits to players. A college roommate paying for pizza and letting him borrow a car for practice would probably be seen as a non-issue. But didn't Eric Crouch get into some BS similar to this for taking a sandwich for free? I would think that as well is a non issue. But obviously the NCAA seems to think he benefited from it, so wouldn't this LG also benefit from being bought pizza and using someone's vehicle which in turn that someone paid for the gas he used?
  20. THIS. We aren't a corrupt or illegal institution athletically necessarily, but we aren't perfect or exactly "right" with some of the decisions made regarding players breaking rules all the time. But we do have a coach that has a much more "no BS" mentality in regards to off the field things than most. Which is better than MOST coaches in the Top 25.
  21. Never been a fan of the "Beat so and so" style t-shirts. Seems kind of lame and not original. Maybe they should make a "Lose to Nebraska" shirt. Haha...or not. I do like that shirt next to it though, with the jerseys home and away for the schedule.
