Based on the circumstances, I think the whole situation was handled FAIRLY by the Lancaster County Attorney's Office and Bo.....A lot of 1st offense DUI's are pleaded down to reckless, depending on the circumstances........I'm sure Bo counseled Caputo (which probably wasn't very pleasant ) and Bo left it at that....as far as I'm concerned, case closed.

As far as the SEC goes, I'd love to see them come up here during a typical late November, and see how dominant they would be in the cold, snow, and freezing rain....

One frequently made comment at the time about the "71" Huskers, was that they could be competitive and possibily beat a "71" NFL team.........If those comments were made about the "01" Hurricanes, I never heard them....

I would select the conference winners from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Big East, Pac-12 and SEC. I would then have a committee make a selection for two at- large bids for an eight team tournament.

We're not always going to have a situation where there is only one undefeated team. Exactly. Sometimes the BCS works quite well. Other times a playoff might make more sense. Neither will be the solution everytime but people push a playoff like it is the best way to do it when it's really no more "fair" than the BCS. When have you EVER heard NFL fans complain that their system is less fair than the BCS? When have you EVER heard any fan of any other sport complain that their system is less fair than the BCS? Not only does every other level of football (HS, FCS, NFL) use a playoff to determine their champion, but every other level of every sport, whether it's Little League Baseball or NCAA basketball or NCAA baseball or the World Cup uses a playoff to determine their champion, and not ONCE have I heard a single person complain about the unfairness of the playoff system in those leagues. The BCS is a crock, and it has made the bowl system worse instead of better. It used to be that all of the New Years Day Bowls had meaning, because #1 didn't play #2. Go back to 1970, when #1 Texas lost in the Cotton Bowl, #2 Ohio State lost in the Rose Bowl, and all of a sudden #3 Nebraska was playing for a National Championship against LSU in the Orange Bowl. Nowadays, only the BCS title game has any real meaning, and it still routinely fails at the one thing it was designed to do better than the old bowl system - determining the national champion. Well stated.....

OSU didn't lose at home like Alabama. Alabama had the most favorable shot at beating LSU and couldn't. Now if it was LSU at home then i would agree Alabama should get another shot. I also didn't expect OSU to throttle OU like that. Before you start trashing ISU remember they beat us at home and close one last year. Paul Rhoads isn't a sh**ty coach. Iowa St. isn't a doormat since he got there last couple of years. Good points.....I don't think 'Bama deserves a do-over against LSU......Oklahoma State deserves a shot at the title...

You make a lot of great points Landomatic, but I would still like to see some type of play-off system. Right now, a theoretical argument can be made for Okie State to play in the title game, and it will always remain a theoretical argument, because votes from some agenda driven coaches determine who will play in the title game, and because of those votes, Okie State is out of the equation. Some type of four or eight team play-off system, though probably not perfect, would solve the issue where it would belong.....on the field, rather than a ballot box. As far as boycotting the 'Bama-LSU game, fans can do what they wish......I just want to see the Huskers in our bowl game......the rest I'll watch with passing interest.

I wish Carl Pelini well at FAU, but still kind of wondering why he's leaving.......I can understand about improving and advancing as a coach, but I thought the Pelini's place a high premium on loyalty as well
