  1. Too bad we couldn't have played Michigan this year with these throwbacks. Would've been great to honor the '97 Champs at Memorial Stadium with the Michigan fans in attendance.
  2. Anyone else find it odd that Bookie is a known Nebraska commit and only one person mentioned him coming to Nebraska?
  3. I think the best part of the jersey for me is that they will be wearing all black cleats to go with it.
  4. I think Omaha would be a good market for the NBA. The arena in OKC is very compatible size wise to the CenturyLink and I think enough people here would be interested in games. Just depends on who is part of the ownership group that wants to bring it here.
  5. Starting to lose the little faith I had left in the Cardinals for the year. The loss yesterday is just demoralizing. When one of your veteran pitchers forgets to cover first thats not a good sign.
  6. Win 3 out of 4 on the road and 4 of 5 at home and 7-2 should get you to the title game. I know this means we most likely beat Iowa, NW, and Wiscy at home but since the season hasn't started I'm optimistic. Feel like our road games are very winnable outside of PSU.
  7. It's crazy how much of a difference Pulisic makes for this team. Been a fan of Omar Gonzalez this tourney. I think he sometimes gets over shadowed by how good Brooks is at center back. A Gold Cup title would boost the confidence of the team for sure. Hopefully that happens and it gives us momentum moving forward in WC qualifying.
  8. I mean at what point when you get inside the 30 do you say screw it and kick a FG on 1st down. It was evident ISU wasn't going to score again
  9. Looks like my chances are going up in smoke. Day shoots 76 to most likely miss the cut and Phil bogeys 6 holes in a 7 hole stretch.
  10. So they will have four available point guards if they get him? Kyrie, Deron Williams, Jose Calderon and Derrick Rose, unless they feel Calderon is more of a two guard or they may get rid of Williams after he had a terrible finals. But with that depth they could rest Rose a lot since he is injury prone and use him mostly in the playoffs and big games. Don't forget Lebron is primary ball handler too. Not sure what they would need Rose for. Said this for a while now, the Cavs didn't lose because they couldn't score. They lost because they couldn't guard anyone in the finals.
  11. Pretty sure we had 8 TO. The worst game ever
  12. Group A: Rickie Group B: J-Day Group C: Phil Group D: Thomas Pieters
  13. Looks like a pretty good organization to be involved with. Not everyone is as lucky as you guys are. Looks like a lot of the kids are from smallish towns "out west". Nothing wrong with that. There are still kids out there that can play at a very high level.
  14. Makes you wonder if Watts/Blades were fully committed to trying to get here. Doesn't sound like Blades was. Props to Jaylin for putting in the work to get here.
  15. First off, good on you as a parent for not forcing him to play in college. Too many parents live vicariously through their kids and it hurts no one but the kids. Not sure what the guys are like at Nebraska Select as I don't think I've ever met them, but there are too many clubs in omaha that only about getting the best kids in the metro for sole reason of saying they played for their club when they go to college. If thats the reason those clubs exist it's for the wrong reason if you ask me. Then you throw in all the club team politics and it makes for an interesting experience for sure.
  16. If you don't mind me asking BRB which program does your kid play for? Club/AAU basketball is an interesting experience for all, especially those who are new to it. Sautter does a phenomenal job covering the local AAU teams when they are competing. In the long run I think Sautter will definitely help raise the level of awareness to the talent level that is in this state.
  17. This is something I need to get done. Currently playing a stock Cobra ZL Encore Stiff shaft with a 9.5 degree loft. Doesn't matter how high or low I tee the ball, my drives are in the air forever.
  18. That is what I am playing currently. And full disclosure, after critcizing Taylormade's driver sponsorship strategy, I was fit for it when I won an all-expenses paid trip to Callaway HQ to tour the facilities and play Torrey Pines - South. How do you like it? I tried a dozen Callaway Chrome Soft balls recently and I was impressed. I had always been a Titleist guy (with a dozen of Srixon mixed in last year) and I was pleased with the Chrome Soft. It was generally going farther off the tee, and did just fine around the greens. Bought a sleeve for my last round as was fairly impressed as well. Also found one of those new Volvik balls that has me intrigued as to how good of a golf ball they really are. Ive typically been a Titleist Velocity guy. For some reason I have always played pretty well with those.
  19. I felt that, too. It's been a while since I watched any of last year's games, but I recall thinking that his INTs were less him making great plays on the ball and more that he was where the ball bounced after it was tipped or bounced off a pass breakup. Aaron Williams pass break up against Minnesota at the end of the game. Was a great play by A Williams lucky Kieron was there There was another at Wyoming as well Here are those two INTs, just for fun. Both of those plays are right place right time. The one thing I will say is in the Minnesota play even if Leidner threads that ball in there Keiron has a chance to break up the pass as he is sitting on the inside of route with the WR coming right to him. Chance are it could've been broken up by Keiron even if Aaron doesn't get a hand on it.
  20. How far down this list do you have to go until you reach Jamal Lord? Guy was a flat out playmaker that was around when there wasn't much talent around him.
  21. Weak argument. Sure, I think Kawhi Leonard can guard a bigger Lebron James, but I don't know if I want him guarding Yao F'ing Ming. Come on Weak argument Basketball != football Being serious. Does Bookie's size get a pass just because of his peer recruiting and awesome attitude? Go to page 11, Post 501 and watch his tape. Worst (best) case scenario, he plays safety. I've seen it. College is better competition than high school. Sure, he looks good in 7 on 7...it's not the same. Sure, he looks good having to cover some good receivers sometimes...that's not seeing a good to great receiver every single down in college ball. What I'm saying is...he's obviously talented. He's obviously undersized. College talent is going to be a lot better than high school. Why aren't we talking about his size being an issue? And don't give me "it won't be"...high school film is all fine and dandy...but as we know, it does't always translate to college (in this case, It might because he really is athletic). Conversations about him being undersized (I didn't know until The Opening he was under 5'10" tall) should be happening right now and they're not. I want to know why....'because of his film' isn't a valid in my opinion. In other words, is anyone at all...be honest...worried about him going up vs a 6'4" receiver who can run? I am. In all of the camp highlights i've seen of Bookie I don't think i've seen him get beat deep (I could be wrong on this). It seems to me he will be content with you catching a 5 yard out or slant on him multiple times because he's gonna jump one of those and take it for 6 the other way. Also, not many teams throw multiple WR out there who are 6'4 and can run. As mentioned before, Lamar probably draws the matchup with the 6'4 guy with Bookie getting the smaller of the 2. His anticipation and knowledge of what the route should be help him tremendously. Plus when you pair him with 2 potential athletic safeties that can cover his deep routes it makes him that much more dangerous jumping those short routes. In no way am I worried about Bookie. Will he have some learning experiences along the way? Absolutely. Just as any freshman would. But this kid is going to make an impact one way or another in a lot of games for us in 2018.

Does Bookie's size get a pass just because of his peer recruiting and awesome attitude? I would say his size gets a pass because over and over at camps he's shown that he can handle his own on the outside against bigger players.
  23. GREAT idea! I wonder how many golfers are going to Arky? (I'd like to, but don't think I can make it.) I don't have tickets to the game but I plan on being in town to tailgate for sure. Just was trying to get some guys together for a nice round in the morning.
  24. With Crouch it's going to be 4. I realize Frost is only 1 spot ahead of Gill but if you polled 90,000 fans on gameday that about 95% of them would take Gill ahead of Frost. Crouch and Frazier will make 5 QB's ahead of Gill. Gill is easily #3 of the group. Not sure how I didn't think of him. And completely agree that Gill is top 3.
