  1. New Mac owner here: Wondering what the easiest way to convert video originally saved for use on Windows for use on Mac. Keep in mind I am not very advanced in my knowledge of technology. Thanks in advance
  2. My expectations- 1. 10 wins a season 2. winning record against top 25 3. conference title appearance at least every other year (re-alignment could make this tougher, who knows) 4. 4 BCS bowls in 10 years; make the playoffs twice in those same 10 years 5. Return to dominant defense 6. Last and most importantly: Not be absolutely embarrassed on national tv
  3. This is the type of athlete at DE that we have always had on our dominant Blackshirt defenses. Man I hope the staff can land this kid. The ease in which he accomplishes his spin moves is incredible for a man his size. One thing, was it just me or did this kid not look like he weighs 260?
  4. Which hurt more, 09 against Texas or 12 against Wisconsin? After the Texas game I sat in a dark room alone, pissed off and wanting nothing to do with anyone or anything. After Wisconsin I was just jaded and didn't give a f#*k anymore. A close loss is far more emotionally draining, but a blowout loss is much worse for the program. In my mind Wisconsin hurts worse. Heading into the Texas game many people thought Texas would win that game and we would be happy to keep it close. Nebraska may have had the better defense but Texas was obvioulsy the overall better team. Given the circumstances in which the game ended, obvioulsy that game hurts. We were actually favored in the Wisconsin game this year and were considered by many as the better team. To come out on national tv and show the world that performance was flat out embarassing at the time. I can handle losing. Losing in the fashion we did to tOSU and Wisconsin is just unacceptable in my opinion.
  5. Could not agree more with this point. I have never been impressed with his skill set and I think he flourishes due to the conference he plays in. You guys are dead wrong when it comes to McDermott. He doesn't look the part. That's certainly true and everyone knows it. What makes him a great player, and yes, he is a great player, are his intangibles. Much in the same way that Tyler Hansborough and Jimmer Fredette were elite college players, McDermott is as well. He beats you to spots, he crashes the boards harder than you, he uses his body well, he runs the floor, he does the little things. This is true. Maybe saying I am unimpressed with his skill set was the wrong way of phrasing it. He's not a flashy player but is solid and fundamentally sound. I would take Zeller from IU Plumlee from Duke or McAdoo from UNC before I would McDermott.
  6. I honestly like the idea of having the game at the highest ranked teams home field. Yes I realize that Stanford struggled to get half of their 50,000 seat stadium filled but the fan bases in this conference are far more passionate than that of the laid back west coast teams. If there is no way to get the game at the highest ranked teams stadium I vote for Chicago.

  8. That will be their lowest total all season. Agreed. Nebraska still shows that up in your face defense they played when Doc was around but like I stated before MIles just needs those couple playmakers and things will really begin to turn around for this program. On the right path. Miles is a good coach. Just a matter of time. Miles has everything he needs facility wise. Once he starts winning games the fans will come. I have always been a huge UNC fan but have always wanted a good Nebraska Basketball program to root for. Hopefully he can get things turned around. Would be great for the state to have a rivalry and a good one with Nebraska vs Creighton
  9. Maybe this is the wrong comparison but I see a little of Demarrio Williams in him. Either way we need this guy

  11. From the little I watched of this game I feel that Miles is a playmaker or two from having a respectable squad that the fans will show up and enjoy watching. Holding Creighton to 64 points is something to be happy with just need a few guys who can makes things happen on the offensive side when hit a slump like we so often do.
  12. This is something that i have noticed more and more. Not necessarliy the whole team but I think we are wayyy too soft in the trenches. The talyor martinez body slam comes to mind. I know people hate to refer back to the 90's as those days are long gone but if this would have happened to Frazier or Frost I believe the O-Line back in those days would have taken huge exception with that. Not that this years line didn't but there would have been a brawl on the field if that had happened to a QB when we had the Pipeline.
  13. I know that the school I attended had 2 separate drug tests. The school itself administered a drug test for the street drugs and we also had an outised agency come in and administer tests for PED's. This may not directly answer your question becuase I did not play college football but I attended a small division 1 school and this is the way things happened there. Hope this helps

looks like a top alabama players to be drafted list

  14. Absolutely will not watch an alabama/lsu rematch. One week of hype for the first game was too much for me. Give OSU a shot
  15. You guys can say all you want about the coaches... but this one is on the players. The players are in position, they just cant tackle. There is only so much you can teach to help tackling.... the rest is on the players. But when you have this many turnovers on special teams and offense there isnt much you can do. You can say that Bo didnt get them focused or whatever you guys want but i wont buy it simply because, and anyone who has ever played a sport will agree with me, 90% of being focused is on the players.
  16. Obviously Rex, but i do think the d-line should get a huge pat on the back. This was the first game that they were constantly attacking the line of scrimmage. Cousins was running for his life almost every time he dropped back.
  17. This is the play i was referring to above. Thanks for posting this image definitely makes it easier to understand for me. Going back to the point Enhance brought up would there be enough time to run something like this?
  18. In theory that's a cool idea, but in reality I don't know if the time to do this would be available against better defenses. The fake to one of the running backs would have to be as quick as a triple option fake to the full back, and then you'd immediately have to run the option with Burkhead otherwise you'd risk being blown up in the back field. Taking the time to do a full zone read and then go with the option would be a long time. This was my thought too but I wasn't sure. Figured someone here would be able to help me since I have very little background in football schemes. The other issue is blocking. Now I'm not saying it couldn't work, but you'd definitely have to run the zone read to the same side you run the option, because trying to go back the other way would mean you have little blocking. Even if you pull linemen, it'd be a cluster-you-know-what on the LOS. This was also somehting I had thought about but wasn't quite sure on how it would work exactly. If we have to pull lineman in order to run the opposite way of the read that would be a nightmare of confusion

  20. Looking at the above photos of the diamond formation made me think.... Is there anyway we could run the read with Taylor and either Green/Abdullah and if Taylor keeps run an option play in the other direction with Burkhead?
  21. People keep referring to our anemic offense in the big games the last few years...its hard to predict what would happen but where would we have been with an even remotely competent offense??
  22. Watched last years holiday bowl from a bar in phoenix after a blizzard in New Mexico/Arizona forced the group of people I was traveling to the game with to stop at one of the kids parents condo down there. Woke up the next day and drove to Vegas for new years so at least I forgot about the game even happening
  23. Sometimes I think the game cares more about the number of completions to passes than the number of actual yards and production. For example, if we all had votes for who should win the Heisman out of those two players, I think the overwhelming majority of people would vote for your player. Not only did the throw for more yards on fewer passes but he a much higher YPC average and was responsible for 23 more touchdowns. That's a landslide victory in this case. However, I can't tell you how many times I've been in similar situations like you are describing, where my guy doesn't have the same amount of throws but does way more. The game seems to think a 17-32 passing game for 250 yards and a touchdown is better than a 10-12 passing game for 375 yards and two touchdowns. Yeah... must just be how they set up the point system within the game.
