  1. Bo haters deserve the second coming of Callyhandjob- when did Nebraska fans become so self entitled? If TO would have been a coach in today's "Nebraska fan social media circle jerk" Osborne would have been run out of town by a bunch of video-playing "fans" with skinny jeans on skinny jeans. I hate those things. Why do people have to dress in a way that makes them look as ridiculous as possible, and for one second think it's cool. Hasn't every generation had those people? True, but now they either work at the OWH as sports writers, or are about 80% of our current "fan" base

  3. yep Bo needs to make those tackles, and whats up with his defense if it only puts one man in position to make a tackle? fire the bum!
  4. But he'll never have the guts to do outside a presser, bo would beat his twirpy snotty ass. Dirk is f'ing brat. plain and simple. Now that that's off my chest, this sentence may very well be true. The part about not being good enough is pure speculation, but is an eery thought, becuase at this point it is true. Ok but this isnt a boxing match. Bo gets paid millions of dollars to coach a football team. You give up 70 points to a mediocre team, you should be asked some hard pressed questions. It's unacceptable. He's a stubborn man who needs a dose of his own medicine. If he doesn't change, then the hard pressed questions shouldn't either. Wisconsin is a mediocre team? haven't lost a game by more than 7 points all year and took OSU into overime? uhh ok- Wisconsin is a better team than everyone here seems to think it is
  5. - I guess injuries and a few misses makes Bo a horrible coach- 48-18 get rid of the bum, just like we did with Solich
  6. one last comment on the whole "Bo's a bad coach"....I am sure that in todays age of internet fan/fools- Osborne would have left for Colorado- and I'm sure a large portion of our "fan" base would have been glad- I remember in back in the days of never winning against Oklahoma or in the Bowl losses prior to the mid 90's "fan's" making jokes about Tom -you know the ones- "choking on the big one" "making 70,000 people scream Jesus Christ" yeah real funny- as good as Booing Scott Frost or calling Martinez a dumb Mexican Best fans in the country my ass
  7. That kind of thinking is what got us callahandjob- lets all take off the red-colored glasses and admit that the Nebraska HC job is not going to attract a star coach that's going to get us to a N/C overnight, more likely we'd get another callfraud type that'd send us into a KU type death spiral- Bo, is doing things the "Nebraska" way and if we're lucky he'll stay another 10 years or so- if that happens we'll win a BIG championship game and maybe play for the N/C- that's as good as it's going to get, considering the changes in College FB over the last 15 years (no prop 48's, less over-all Scollies.-more money & exposure, SEC/ESPN love affair- etc)- guys like Snyder or Osborne only come around every 10-20 years- let's face it what other team in a state that has more cows than people, besides KSU and Nebraska has had the over-all success? Bo is just getting things going and with a current record of 48-18 people need to just settle down
  8. pretty good points- add this one, injuries- for all the bubbling about Bo not being able to recruit, we've had some bad luck with injuries on the D line that has left us very thin and it shows- The only thing that bugs me about Bo is he seems to not always plays the best athletes and the defense always seems confused in these big games
  9. and get his advice on how to recruit 30 players to fill 15 scollies? Also ask him how they transfer money to players without getting caught, how to flat out lie to a kid about playing time, etc-you know all the things saban's been doing all his life- yep Nebraska can learn how to win from a fine coach like saban Or how to hire competent assistants and win big games and also bring in top 5 recruiting classes. Maybe kids just go there cuz they like to win championships and go to the NFL.... yeah thats it ....saban doesn't over-recruit or cheat- riiiight
  10. Callahan had to go but Bo was given a silver platter full of NFL talent. He needed to continue to recruit his backside off and we would not be where we are today. We have gradually lost talent year by year. Look at our class rankings...some will point to the avg star etc. problem is you will only get in a perfect world maybe 50% of your class to be worth a darn. You sign 18 kids you pray you get 9 solid players. Then the big boys sign 25-30 a year and get the deadweight to move on yearly. It is a game of numbers and we are losing severely. Just so I understand your thought process: You'd rather cheat like the "Big Boys" and ruin players lives to "win" a few more games a year? We are being out recruited by the likes of Vanderbilt and Virginia and Baylor and Illinois and wisconsin and arizona and rutgers. only a spot ahead of northwestern and Iowa State. Did Callahan cheat to get highly ranked classes? Or did he just apply himself? Oh what about Notre Dame or tOSU or Michigan? They cheat too? How is cutting deadweight ruining peoples lives??? Please explain this to me... My point was clear- do you think it's right to cheat and ruin kids lives doing it? case in point is the over-recruiting issue- and if you can not see why or how that could "ruin" a kids life, then I think I know the answer to my question.

  13. be glad its apples and oranges because Zwinak didn't exactly wear us out
  14. god- reading this thread, it is easy to understand how far the U.S. has slid as a once proud country- let's just ban tackle football and have all men wear maxipads- And yes I have a son who played football
  15. the same could be said of us You must be watching a different game. Maher is 12-18 on the season, and all but 2 of his misses came from 45+ yards. I know the original post didn't warrant it, but I guess I should have included punting- and lets put it this way, missing a 30 some yarder last week and endless shanks on punting doesn't give me the warm and fuzzys to say we'd win with him trying a 35 yard FG to end a game
  16. a defense that gives up over 600 yards is bad, no two ways about it
  17. Catostrophic event = current state of Husker football. We will put speed on the field and Braxton Miller will NOT have a career day as someone pointed out earlier. Our ability as of late, to make half time adjustments on the D, will frustrate Ohio St. offense. Keep turnovers out of the game and we win. I feel good about this. we put speed on the field for the UCLA game, and we know how well that turned out
  18. A lot of Nebraska fans don't get what it was that the man really brought to Nebraska- that is, he is as honest and humble of a man that'll you'll know- he wasn't perfect and said as much, but he not only believed in doing things the right way, he also displayed those beliefs in his actions- winning was really only a result of doing things the right way, or as people like to say "the Nebraska way". The media wanted to paint him as a bad guy in the 90's and he will always be linked to "LP" but those who have read his books and observed his manner over 35+ years will tell you that the LP thing was handled by Tom as best as he knew how and "winning" wasn't part of the reason he let LP play in the bowl game. I also want to say thanks to all the knuckleheads that DIDN'T understand he was as honest of a politician as anyone will ever see, and because there are always 50% of any population that votes without any real thought as to who they're voting for, Tom Osborne wasn't elected to lead the state, and instead was available to right the Nebraska Football ship when it was going down faster than the Titanic. God Bless Tom Osborne
  19. Carnes already hit his bloom. He is on the regressing path. Putting him back at QB will do nothing but take reps from guys who may have a legit shot at the position in the future. And from what I have heard, Carnes doesn't apply himself anyways. who does he get to apply for him?
  20. Domers do too nothing new, the kid got an offer from Oregon, didn't get one from us, the choice was pretty clear
  21. To prove Bo cant recruit or judge talent. and that Scott Frost should replace Bo as HC
  22. I think it was Chris Rock who had a little joke about people getting all excited about things they're expected to do- whaddid Compton want???? a cookie?
  23. not sure if anyone mentioned this but we blitzed at least two times into a screen play, had it not been for the dropped passes both plays were looking like TD's-
  24. UCLA fans don't even quit tailgating till the first quarter is over- they leave after the 3rd quarter.....most are just going out for drinks and some fresh air, not many take Bruins football too seriously- if they did they wouldn't have to bribe them with fireworks displays
