He's bigger, more accurate, and seems to have a better command of the game vs. what they saw at G Tech. Talk is cheap, but people can improve as they mature. Check this one out. But his supporting cast was night and day compared to what Sims will be working with in Lincoln. Burrow was throwing to 2 future NFL All Pro WRs and LSU's 3rd WR was a 2nd round draft pick. Also had a 1st rounder at RB. And his OL had two 3rd rounders and one 4th rounder. 2 1 3 Quote Link to comment

But, there's a chance he will be surrounded by better players here than at GT. And...yes...I know it's still nowhere close to LSU and Burrow. 1 Quote Link to comment

But are Steele's takes accurate? And secondly, do the rankings inside the entire conference matter that much for where we're at, or does where we rank in the West more important? Take linebackers, with the addition of Sherman and then looking at Butler's athleticism & potential, and then some other veteran guys we have there. Do we rank all that low there compared to the rest of the B1G West teams? Probably not. And I'd say we're super thin at QB, so it's basically saying that Sims is the 6th best QB in the conference. I think it's much more important where we rank against the West. 1 Quote Link to comment
