Thunderin' Bolts vs Nicholls

Are you serious... First inning over with the pitch count of the starters sitting at Nicholls start 33, Sears (NU) @ 35. Watching the game on ESPN+ and the zone is unbelievably bad. Strikes are called balls, balls are called strikes. One pitch called a strike and the next, in the same spot, a ball but honestly, I have grown to expect this. It's an issue throughout college ball.

Bingo. I am at park, so you actually have better views. For Sears to walk 3, is on umpire. Good thing he is consistently tight and bad. Keep swinging

Bottom of th 8th in the Western Illinois/Iowa Game: Pitch Count 171 / 137

Top of the 7th in the Belmont/Indiana Game: Pitch Count 126 / 116

Bottom of 6, UMass Lowell/Penn State Game: Pitch Count 100 / 148

Bottom of 4, Auburn / Vanderbilt Game: Pitch Count 63 / 71 (2 of the best teams in baseball)

I could keep posting but I think the picture is well painted. Is it any wonder college pitchers have to almost sit out a year before actually throwing meaningfully in the minors. The zones in the NCAA are ridiculous.

Just so we all know where Evan Bland's comment regarding Sam Hill I asked google to define "what in Sam Hill" means and the answer is:
Store owner in Arizona: Sam Hill was also a mercantile store owner who offered a vast and diverse inventory of goods. People began using the term "what in the Sam Hill is that?" to describe something they found odd or unusual, just like the inventory found in Sam Hill's store.

Silly post to say the least. There's a reason Nebraska has the #1 ranked NC SOS, the #2 SOS and the #2 ranked RPI. You might not think much of Nicholls but I assure you the writers, coaches and even computer algorithms do. The Nicholls starter we faced last night will be a top pick in next years draft as he's only in his second year. Not sure you know who the coach is for Nicholls (Mike Silva) but his coaching ability has never been doubted and at every stop the pitching has been impressively impeccable. (Maybe take a moment and do a google search.) Nicholls played in the 2023 Tuscaloosa Regional as the 4 seed and could have (might say should have) beaten bama in the opening game (losing by 1 in the btm of 9th, 4-3) and most of the Nicholls team returned this year.

Here, I'll make it easy for you:

and finally, if you don't want to read, here is the preseason interview with Mike Silva regarding the 2024 season.

but... I digress, I mean you rightfully have your opinion and I have mine. Nobody is wrong.

Why is quoting facts silly

Assuming Sears is done as his count is near 90. Only 3 hits, 5k, most importantly 0 runs on a day with wind blowing out. Husker bats stay hot as Swanson blast 3 run shot
